I've seen this and it sort of grew on me. I also have it in 3D, and I just had to get the steelbook of it. Its worth having in your collection, either bluray, 3D, or 4K.

Great first entry to a fun trilogy that the kids (and grown-ups) will enjoy. Somewhat dated CGI but totally redeemed by the excellent 3D and audio quality.

I wanted to upgrade to 4K, as I already own the original blu-ray. Didn't know if I should pick the steelbook or slip. So I might pick up slipcovers later.

Let's start with the 3D. The 3D effects are stunning. Without a doubt, this is the film as it was meant to be seen. The way the dragons move through the sky and the action really makes an impact in 3D. This was a film that I originally saw in 3d. Seeing it again, I appreciated the countless details in the models and background. I think the biggest impact of these digital films is that there are so many details in the backdrops that can draw the eye. In post-rendered 3d movies, the effects of the 3d are muted somewhat by the out of focus on the backdrops. The story is as I said earlier, timeless. It's a classic story that I'll enjoy showing off to my nieces and my friends during the holidays for years to come.

Solid animation in this movie but it's 4 stars are due to a real solid storyline and characters that keeps you interested.

This is a fun, clean film for the whole family to enjoy. I leave this at 4 instead of 5 stars only for the fact that they didn't include a separate 2D Blu-ray disc in the pack (as the 3D disc only contains the film and no bonus content). They did include a DVD copy of the film, and that disc does contain some bonus content, but not all of the bonus content that is available on the 2D Blu-ray disc of the movie. The other downside to this 3D disc is that, since the movie is able to be played in 2D mode, when you do view the 3D version, the brightness hasn't been compensated for (it usually is in most standalone 3D discs), so the movie does appear a bit dark when watching with 3D glasses unless you manually increase the TV's brightness and contrast levels. It looks fine when you watch it in the 2D mode, though. Those few things aside, the level of detail and the rendering of the film otherwise look gorgeous.

I enjoyed this movie. There were funny parts throughout the drama. It looks great in 4K. I would recommend for all ages.

Love this family movie. Can’t wait to watch the second and third one after purchasing this from Black Friday.

I've never been a Dreamworks fan but How to Train Your Dragon series is great. I enjoy these movies a lot. Check it out.

Absolutely loved how they closed this trilogy. Having the the first 2 on nice looking steelbooks was a great addition!

The attach on the village by the dragon's, the young warriors learn the reasons of the attacks and the causes of it.

Great movie. We already had it on DVD but saw that it was available in Blu ray and had to pick it up.

This was fun to watch. It seems some of the best movies are cartoons, and your never too old to watch cartoons.

How To Train Your Dragon is a fantastic Series. This is a good story for the little ones and adults alike.

I'd seen the original How To Train Your Dragon several years ago, in the theater when my kids were younger. I always hesitated to buy it on disc because of the price, but I was in Best Buy on Black Friday and found the movie on 3D Blu-Ray for an insanely low price, which I couldn't pass up. I bought three copies of this movie, plus three copies of How To Train Your Dragon 2. The total for all six discs came to less than $25. Unreal! Best value I think I've gotten this Christmas shopping season. Thank you!

This is an awesome movie for kids, and even kept the adults attention. Cannot go wrong with this movie!

Unexpected film! Loved this when it came out, amazing story and looks great with it's 4k update!

When hidden world came out my family did a dragon marathon. I still like the original movie best.
