Base on the reviews I chose to purchase Hoya brand for my canon EF lenses . They are of high quality and easily screws on my lens . Little insurance to protect your expensive glass for photography .

Bokeh is fantastic, great for portraits and that is what I will use it for mainly. It had been recommended for concert photography since the fstop is 1.4, however I have found it not to be the greatest addition in that line up overall. I will use it mainly for still portraits, weddings, family, etc... I did decide to purchase the lower fstop because it gave more freedom and it was worth the bit extra difference.

I bought this item primarily to serve as a protection for my camera lens but it works pretty well to filter the UV haze especially because I like outdoor activities and it works well for me to get sharper pictures.

I cannot attest to the UV filtration of this product because I understand that the digital sensors in modern DSLR cameras don't really pick up the UV wavelengths of light as film did in non-digital SLR cameras of the past. However, what I can say is that this filter will physically protect your lens from dust, fingerprints, some light water droplets, etc. If you damage this filter, you're out $27, but if you damage a lens, you'll be spending $300+ to replace it. USE THIS AS INSURANCE FOR YOUR LENS.

This simple to install lens filter is great for protecting your cameras lens, it is a clear UV glass cover which has minimal glare. A perfect low cost accessory that provides additional protection for your camera. I use it all the time.

With the lens on , I can't tell its on. It reduces haze and produces quality shots.

I typically use B+W filters on my lenses, but since the best filter carried by BB is this brand and I also have had good experiences with this brand, I decided to buy this.

for the price great protection for lens! I always use hoya for all my lenses. light transmission spec very very close to high end lens covers.

I've always put a UV filter on my lenses for protection of the lenses itself not so much for the UV properties. A cheap alternative to a scratched multi-hundred dollar lenses.

this lens protector is good quality. when getting a new lens you should always get a lens protector to protect your lens

Hoya filters have always been a favorite of mine. I would recommend using hoya filters for anyone.
