Pros:
-Ultra light weight.
-Fanless and doesnt burn my legs.
-Quick boot up
-4G LTE mobile data through Verizon.
-Amazing screen.
-Great audio both built in and through headphones.
-Micro USB power adapter.
-USB ports
-Google.
Cons:
-When watching videos and using a Bluetooth headset there is noticeable audio lag, but I just plug in regular.
-Small internal storage (fixed with getting a USB drive)
-4 hour battery life. (but I can always plug in a car charger if needed)
Overall I enjoy using this device over any tablet (Traded in a tablet for the device). It's google, which syncs with my PC and phone flawlessly.

The chromebook works great, but the LTE wireless internet seems to be very slow, just my observation. Nothing else bad about this item that I can find

I cannot say enough good about this device. It does exactly what I want it to and nothing more. I feel that many of the negative reviews I read were from people who bought it expecting it to be a laptop. It is not, plain and simple. It is essentially a tablet with a keyboard.
I first purchased a small laptop in the same price range. Within a matter of days, it had already become bogged down and was almost painful to operate. I exchanged it for this device, and went ahead and did the LTE one because, well, it just made sense. This device is FAST. Boots up in seconds, and in the month or so I've had it, has never lagged once when I asked it to do anything. Someone complained about typing issues. I type 80 WPM and have never had an issue, whereas the laptop I returned simply couldn't keep up with my typing speed. Of course, all I do on it is use the internet and write, so I didn't need anything fancy. I store all my documents in Google, and everything is seamless between this, my tablet, and my phone. My ONLY issue is that I wish I could print directly to my wifi printer, but it's easy enough to send the document I need to my desktop and print from there.
This would NOT be a good "only" computer. But as a portable supplement, it simply can't be beat. Plus, to be able to get online without having to track down and charge my jet pack? Awesome! And you cannot deny that this device is visually stunning. I love the fact that it is white, and that light bar on the back is pretty sharp. The keyboard feels amazing. I highly recommend this product!
Oh, and speaking of charging, this device uses the same charger (micro USB) as every other device I own. Finally, I only have to carry one charger with me!

You probably already know whether you want a Chromebook or not, so I won't bother reviewing the Chrome OS, except to say that it works as advertised - it boots up in seconds, was simple to set up, and has been very easy to use.
I chose this model mainly because it has an IPS display panel, instead of the TN displays used in almost every other cheap laptop. This screen makes all the difference in the world. Colors are bright, text is crisp and clear, HD videos truly look High Definition. In fact, 480p videos on here look better than 720p or 1080p videos look on the TN displays I compared it to. I've had this computer for about a week, and I'm hooked - I'll never buy a laptop with a cheapy TN screen again.
Some people have complained that this Chromebook is too slow. Personally, I only have a 5-year old Dell desktop to compare this with, but the Chromebook loads pages and videos just as fast as the desktop. The only time I see any stuttering or dropped frames is immediately after hitting the 10-second rewind button on Hulu - it will drop a few frames within the first second of playback, but then works great. I also usually only have a few browser tabs open, and I don't play any games, so your needs may be different. I have done some typing, and the keyboard feels terrific. The touchpad also works well - there are no separate buttons, you can just touch the pad to click. It's very intuitive.
This Chromebook has a magnesium alloy frame, & feels very sturdy. It's also very lightweight. It has no fan (so no fan noise), & is very thin. Carrying it around one-handed (either open or closed) is very easy.
The speakers are located under the keyboard, rather than being along the side or front like most laptops. I like this setup - when playing videos, the sound seems to come from the screen itself, which is a plus. They're not the greatest speakers, but I find them acceptable in a laptop, and the clever placement works well.
One negative - it has a micro USB cord instead of a regular power cord. It's also very short. The idea is that you're supposed to be able to use your phone charger with it, thus saving you from carrying around another cord. I find it harder to plug in a micro USB than a power cord, and a micro USB cord is less likely to detach if I trip over it (which I do quite often, as I am clumsy). For some people this is a feature rather than a bug, so I didn't take a star off my review for it, but I do wish it had a regular cord.
If you want a small, cheap computer for basic web surfing, e-mail, Hulu, Youtube, Netflix, etc., you really want a great screen, and you want it for cheap, this is a fantastic little machine. I bought it on sale for $199 (without the 4G LTE activation - it was on sale for $49 with activation), which makes it a great buy. It's about to be replaced by a new 11" HP model that does NOT have an IPS display, so if you want this one, you'd better grab it soon.
If this one did sell out, or you can't find it on sale, the new Toshiba CB35-B3340 (not the B3330) also has an IPS display - other than the $1300 Chromebook Pixel, it's the only other Chromebook with an IPS. It also has a bigger 13.3" screen, a faster processor, and more memory. The Toshiba lists for $329 - if I could only find the HP for its current list of $299, I'd get the Toshiba instead for only $30 more. But for $199, I'll take the HP.
This is the second HP Chromebook 11 I've owned. The first one wouldn't wake up or turn on properly, and I returned it within a few days. The new one works perfectly, and Best Buy made the exchange easy.

Only if you NEED LTE

Wife needed to replace her old netbook to use for work. Majority of the time she connects via RDP to access her desktop. She paired the Netbook with a Verizon Jetpack hotspot.
While this worked reasonably well, the Netbook was getting very slow after moving to Windows 7, and the hotspot battery barely lasted 90 minutes - not to mention carrying the additional gadget around.
Chromebook with LTE seemed like an ideal replacement.
In hindsight, it's just so-so
Pros:
LTE built-in - Ditch the extra hotspot, connect wherever, whenever
Compact - Reasonably light, definitely small form factor
Cons:
Cost - Since she already had Verizon, there was no $100 discount
Performance - Tests show this is one of the slowest Chromebooks available (June 2014)...definitely noticeable when surfing heavy content. Forget about streaming video smoothly
Connectivity - Requires a reboot every time she switches from WiFi to LTE. On start up, you either choose LTE, or disable to use WiFi if available. When you need to switch back, HP forces you to reboot.
Bottom line - she's happy to have LTE built-in, but inconvenienced by rebooting all the time and limited video capabilities. Reluctantly purchased as this is the only LTE built-in Chromebook on the market now.

This 4G notebook computer had real problems, and I had to return it back to Best Buy. Continually switched back and forth from WiFi to 4G and so on. Couldn't keep on a page (website) long enough to do anything. I hope no one else encounters this problem.

This is the best Chromebook in my honest opinion. The speakers are so good its unreal. The screen is HD and has no problem with 3rd party streaming services. It handles documents like a boss, has the best templates in my opinion and makes it super easy to do work, or homework. The processor is enough power to even upload a youtube video its not even hard to install the driver software.
The need to know:
Battery life-4-7 hours. If you say your HP 11 is lagging its probably your internet connection. Customization is key when using apps. The Chromebooks are more compatible in offline mode. The processor is speedy and handles sites like no big deal. The camera is VGA so it makes you look better on skype. Build quality is amazing. This is my main computer. This Chromebook should be the main focus and make a second generation one.
Stay away from the HP 14 Chromebooks they may have intel processors but the screen is washed out, bad build & speakers.

The price was Cheap. That was a plus. The small screen was a good feature as well because it made it easy to carry around. The overall design was pretty in blue and white. But, it is not a good choice for students. The charger broke in a matter of days. Can you say cheap quality? I purchased this chromebook with microsoft which was not accessible on this computer, which forces me to use google docs that I can only access when I have internet. Various plugins also do not work. Just spend the extra buck on a normal laptop.
