This laptop is great. It's lightweight. It's easy to set up. It's got exactly the ports I need. HDMI, 3 usb, SD card. Having a camera and microphone is just a bonus. Love the 500gb hard drive. As with any new computer, you have to clean up some of the 'garbage' that comes with it. Then it runs much faster. It's not as fast as my Gaming Desktop (of course) but it's fast for what I need. Research and website building. So far it has stayed pretty cool. Oh, it also comes with Windows 10, not Windows S. :D
It feels solid. The keyboard is good (although I attach another keyboard).
Highly recommend!

The mousepad doesn't work well, it lacks the features that I wanted though I knew ,it didn't have a disc drive I didn't think it was as small as it was. I am just not happy with this product, I spent all this time and money, for processing and home programing, and am now writing this review off of my old computer. no more mail order purchases for me. right now I would just as soon throw it out I'm so annoyed.

I purchased this for my daughter. She already has a gaming desktop at home. So for this laptop has been convenient for her. She loves it.

Basically a brick

Purchased this laptop three weeks ago and am extremely disappointed with it. It's by far the slowest laptop I've ever owned, and I'm not talking about gaming laptops, just your run of the mill "school work" laptops. I mean, this brick is struggling to keep pace with my typing and requires 5-10 seconds to open basic apps like MS Word and Excel. I usually buy Lenovo or Samsung, but figured I'd give HP a try. Definitely returning to one of the tried and true brands next time (i.e. next week if I can't find a way to speed this thing up soon).

This is NOT a gaming laptop

It's a decent laptop for web surfing, documents and solitaire. Beyond that, this system is going to struggle to do anything. The A4 processor is AMD's lowest, just like the Pentium is Intel's lowest.
This WILL NOT play anything like Fortninte. It just won't. It does not have anywhere near the graphical capabilities to do so, and it's likely why these are often sitting in the Open Box Buy bin. They should NOT be labeled as "gaming".
