I’ve had this laptop since July 2023 so coming up on 2 years and it has served me well! I use it for work and have done trainings, lesson plans, use with multiple tabs open and it hasn’t disappointed. It can get a little slow and lag sometimes but glitches happen with any technology. The battery life is quite good as well. I forget to turn it off for days which isnt good on my end but the battery is preserved well so as long as you remember to turn it off when you’re done and take care of it it will last you. Using it for video calls and interviews has also been good. I would recommend for those who need a laptop for practical use but are on a budget as I was when I bought it, it will last you if you take care of it right!

The setup took forever, but I customize quite a bit. The CPU and RAM have enough for my 11 year old to play Roblox and YouTube and such, but it's way too slow for what I'd be doing and I'd imagine not near enough for high-end gamers. But for what I bought it for, for a kid, it's good enough.

It worked well for what I needed it to until Windows/Microsoft kept inflating the storage and memory with it’s bloatware that they call “software updates”. Upon startup as well as trying to do anything simple online, it would freeze or lag constantly with Task Manager reporting that 90% of the CPU and 98% of the 4GB of RAM was being used but unable to report on what was actually taking up all the space. I also experienced storage hardware issues where it would say the storage was full or nearly full while, again, being unable to report what was taking up so much room. I intend on replacing it with a laptop that’s much more capable.

Runs smoothly. Sometimes has connection hiccups but nothing too bad. Battery life lasts but if you use while charging it takes longer to finish, doesn't hold as long when done. For the price its good and helps with small daily tasks.

Design: The HP 14” Laptop features a sleek and minimalist design in Jet Black, making it suitable for both professional and casual environments. The slim profile and lightweight construction enhance portability, allowing users to easily carry it on the go. The 14-inch display provides ample screen real estate for productivity tasks and multimedia consumption while maintaining a compact form factor. Performance: Powered by an Intel Celeron processor and 4GB of memory, this laptop offers adequate performance for everyday computing tasks. It handles basic activities such as web browsing, word processing, email, and multimedia streaming with ease. The inclusion of 64GB eMMC storage ensures fast boot times and responsiveness for everyday use. However, users may need to manage storage space carefully, as the 64GB capacity may be limiting for storing large files and applications. Display: The 14-inch display delivers crisp visuals and vibrant colors, enhancing the viewing experience for multimedia content, web browsing, and productivity tasks. The HD resolution provides sharp details, making it suitable for watching videos, viewing photos, and working on documents. The slim bezels surrounding the display maximize the screen-to-body ratio, providing an immersive viewing experience. Connectivity: The HP 14” Laptop offers a range of connectivity options, including multiple USB ports, HDMI output, and a headphone jack, allowing users to connect to external devices such as monitors, printers, and headphones. The inclusion of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support enables seamless wireless connectivity for internet access and peripheral devices. Battery Life: With its efficient hardware components and optimized software, the HP 14” Laptop delivers respectable battery life for on-the-go productivity. Users can expect several hours of usage on a single charge, depending on usage patterns and screen brightness settings. The long-lasting battery ensures that users can stay productive throughout the day without constantly searching for power outlets. Overall, the HP 14” Laptop offers a compelling combination of performance, portability, and affordability, making it an ideal choice for students, professionals, and casual users alike. While it may not excel in demanding tasks such as gaming or video editing, it provides a reliable computing experience for everyday use.

I bought this mainly to check my emails and watch online tutorials while I'm travelling. It's not a gaming laptop by any means, but it's nice enough for its intended purpose. You might want to consider something with more RAM and faster processing speeds if you plan to do more than watch tutorials or Netflix. It's very lightweight, and the battery lasts a few hours when fully charged.

Too slow, not enough usable memory

Bearing in mind that this is a very basic entry-level laptop, the performance of the HP dq3000dx was still a little disappointing for my needs. The price is very economical if you intend to use it for light tasks, like reading or sending an occasional email, or typing up a letter, or very light web surfing. I don’t recommend it for gaming or long video play because of the lagging and buffering I experienced. I’m sure the lag in overall performance is due to it only processing at 1.1 GHz and having 4GB of RAM, which isn’t that much in today’s world. Set up out of the box took about two and a half hours, but the majority of that time was updates installing. It comes with Windows S-mode, which I left alone instead of turning it off to be able to install other apps like I’d intended. I didn’t want to bog the system down any further. The white color of the casing is nice, and I like that the keyboard has a light wood grain look to it even though it’s plastic. I would prefer that the keyboard was backlit though because the keys are very difficult to see without light. I miss the numeric keypad also, but it didn’t surprise me that this laptop doesn’t have one. It’s great that HP included a USB C port, HDMI port, and an SD card slot in addition to the standard USB A ports and headphone jack. The laptop also comes with the typical HP power cord and port. Battery life seems to be averaging about 5-7 hours before needing a charge. I wasn’t able to get 12 hours of video playing like the specs say, but I’ll say that it has good battery life considering how slow the overall performance of the machine is. This laptop may be ideal for a younger child as a first computer or someone that may only need to get online periodically, but I don’t recommend it for anyone that doesn’t have a lot of patience.

I bought this laptop for basic tasks like browsing, email, and Zoom calls — and it does the job well. It’s compact, lightweight, and looks really clean in white. You won’t get high performance, but for students or travel use, it’s perfect. Battery life is decent too. Great value for the price.

Good for the price. Runs a little slower than other computers. Videos and pictures are a bit pixelated and blurry; not as clear as a MacBook. But decent for the price. Relatively easy to navigate. Works better once all updates have been completed. Has all the basic essentials.

I wanted a lighter laptop than the one I had. This one is fairly portable, a little slower than I'm used to, and I keep reaching for the number keys on the side that aren't there. The salesman said there's no possibility to add more memory. For the price I paid it's adequate for what I need--basically to travel and check email and surf the web.
