Picked this up on fire-sale and it's almost perfect. Fast SSD, RAM was upgradable*. In fact it came with a single SO-DIMM so I was able to add a single 8GB for a total of 12GB! Weak spot is the screen: it's just serviceable for web browsing and office apps. Washed out compared to a decent screen with poor viewing angle. But considering the low price and my limited needs I'll live with it. I'm running Blender, a 3D rendering program on it for a class with no issues. Pick up a cheap wireless mouse too. *Upgrading RAM required a pry tool, so not for the timid. I posted an upgrade guide on my blog. Very compact yet powerful laptop. Great for mobility, good value for the price and very dependable. Im older so i dont like the built in mouse pad area, i need more USB ports and prefer a 10 key set up. So it depends on what you need it for but overall its a very solid laptop. If you require more USB ports or a 10 key set up you will definitely need to purchase some additional items.

Bought this for my wife, who is an elementary school librarian. She used to use a Chromebook, but didn't care for it. While she does not need a high end computer, she did want something that had more to offer than a Chromebook. She has been using this HP for about a month now and is really enjoying it. She is able to get all her work done - writing reports, creating documents, viewing videos, etc. She also has problems with her hands and this laptop is fairly light, making it easier for her to carry around. Would highly recommend this laptop.

I got this PC for my high school daughter.. it has high levels of security with this PC you peace of mind.. you don't have to worry about viruses because before you download any app it will direct you to download from the trusted store apps .. and it is as fast as a bullet you do search and move from page to page in a second.. I'm so happy with it .. Thank you Bestbuy and HP

My teenage daughter use it for school and also we do it because the computer is very fast and easy to use, connect fast to internet, turns on fast, great memory and speed to watch videos, use internet and works very well with Microsoft office . Great HP product, unfortunately not longer available, but thinking to buy a similar product very soon.

I purchased this for my nephew his freshman year of college. It has been a wonderful laptop. It is lightweight enough that it doesn’t weigh down the backpack but sturdy enough for an 18 year old who chucks the backpack across the room with disregard to the contents inside. It also has more than enough memory for the programs he’s required to install for class work.

Bought My HP lap top and Love the size and the Price From Best BUy!

Well we bought 2 for our kids. 1 is still going strong. 1 is having issues. So happy for the money spent on one but the other is having major issues. Can't tell if it is user error, it was abused more than the other or what but one works great while the other needs replacement. To repair it will cost more than a new one.

This was purchased for a light user, so it will be more than able. This laptop works well for internet surfing and some office tasks. It starts up much faster than the older MacBook it is replacing. I feel that the SSD and RAM should be increased, but at this price point what can I say. The build quality on this thing is not great but acceptable for what it is.

So I got my wife a Mac air a couple of years ago and she gets mad when I’m using it( all the time). She ordered me to get my own laptop. Well, I came across this HP and couldn’t believe the price. It’s perfect for a 2nd computer. It’s quick, and does everything advertised. You can tell it’s not the most sturdy( compared to MacBook ) but I like this .
