Bought this product for my wife who is in school. She absolutely loves it.

This is the second HP laptop I have gotten in about 18 months and they both stink. This particular computer does not work well. Now the usb ports don't work at all. I will never buy an HP again

I can't figure it out. Way to hard to run. Keeps erasing my emails. Things on craiglist keep changing size. I hate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not made for a novice. Not as good as my Acer vista which I have to use to find my enails. The geeks said hothing was wromg with it. I HATE IT

My son needed a basic computer for homework and assignments for high school. We chose this one. It acted weird from the first day. My son would be in the middle of doing something and it would freeze up or just go back to the home screen. Very annoying. So we said bye bye to it.

sad to say that the lap top that was purchased from you had a password on it that would not let you get into to it. So it had to be wipe clean and programmed all over again just to get into it and now it doesnt not have all the features it should have when purcheased

Computer is confusing for me and I don't like it at all

My mother bought new this laptop and I've used and loved it everyday since. I love windows 8 and how functional it is as well as how fast the laptop is.

I've been using this laptop for a few days now (I got it on sale for $250 so I figured why not?), I needed a cheap laptop until I could build my gaming PC, and decided on purchasing this. I've read a few reviews (not many, just 2 or 3) and figured "Well if it doesn't work then I can return it." And decided to review it for all who may be interested. PROS: Cheap, works well, comes with Windows , nice keyboard and screen, fast for what it does, comes with an SD card slot, doesn't overheat easily and comes with an optical drive. CONS: Not intended for gaming, no backlit keys, only 3 USB ports, poor sound quality. Now to properly review this computer (both positive and negative points will be in the description) Firstly, it's a cheap laptop that, at least feels, high quality. At the time of this review the laptop comes at $280, which I got it on sale for $250, and considering other laptops and even tablets at this price range (like a Chromebook or Surface) and comes with a 500HDD, 4GB of RAM and a quad core CPU, it's pretty beefy for what it is. Now, don't expect to get the same level of performance as other laptops even $50 more, you won't. This isn't a gaming PC by any means, don't even expect to play light games like Minecraft, Terraria, or chat based softwares like IMVU without lag or frame rate issues. However, for school purposes, or just general web browsing/video watching, this laptop does the job in spades. It comes with Windows 10, which, to me, is pretty nice considering the price of the OS alone, then all the specs this laptop. The keyboard is nice (even though it took me a day or two to get use to) and the screen is decent. However, you'l need some sort of light when typing because there aren't any backlit keys, or different textures or anything to tell the keys apart besides knowing the placement. Don't expect to rush when typing with said keyboard though, it seems to have issues with typing extremely fast, or pressing the same key rapidly. As stated before, the screen is decent when looking at it from the front, but it's clearly intended for single use only not to have multiple people watching movies because it becomes faded and hard to see from the sides. What I like about this laptop is that it comes with an SD card slot, but it's only a full SD card slot, so if you have micro SD cards then you'l need an adapter. Also, it only has 3 USB ports, and considering that there are other laptops out there that offer at least 4, it's a disappointment. I personally would have liked for it to come with 4 or 5 USB ports, and have the laptop be bigger to accommodate it, but it's nice for what it is. So far, I've had no over heating problems with this laptop considering the amount of strain and stress tests I've done with it. As for the sound bar, it runs across atop the keyboard, but there are only 2 areas in which the sound will escape so don't expect movies or music to pop or fill a room, it's not made for that. To wrap this extremely long review up, the computer is great for the price, and for simple web browsing, school or business work, editing videos or art, it works well and preforms for what it is. at $280, it's an amazing little system, though they are some lack luster features. If you're in need of a simple laptop for a cheap price, you should definitely look into this one, especially when it goes on sale for prices like $250, you won't find anything better.

This PC not only does it do the job for my of my task but I can also download many things and use it for free time.. games, movies, etc.. etc...

It have been reliable and has pretty nice features with more than enough memory.

Completely crashed on the 13th day I had it. I guess you get what you pay for, it was very inexpensive.

Still chugging along in 2020! Need a replacement soon but will do the job for now

I use this HP for personal business as we as entertainment. It is great for storing movies and connecting to my HD flat screen.

I had searched the Best Buy web site for laptops with windows 7. when I got to the page I assumed ( you know what that means) they were all windows 7. I ordered but when it got here it was windows 10.

I pursed this computer because I know this brand but unfortunately this computer wasn't good. I had too many problems that I returned already I can't keep something that is not good.

This is perfect for what I need it for. I'm a teacher and needed a lap top for home use and it is perfect.

My daughter can do almost anything she wants on this computer from schoolwork to watching videos.

Bought this just to do some word processing and write papers with, works great for that.

After 3 weeks of minimal use the hard drive went bad had to take in for repair

Bought this computer as a gift to a young student it still works fine. No complaints
