Overall this is a great buy. I also bought a wireless mouse as I hate using finger trackpads and I also purchased Office 365. For the money this is a decent computer and all outside reviews rate it pretty high. The battery has the average life of 5 hours before needing to be charged, but I normally keep it plugged in while using it. I just bought this last week and the only problem I've had so far is that twice the computer froze while using the new MS browser. That concerns me and I'll keep an eye on it. Other than that, I'd recommend this.

I recently got this computer on Friday. Only have noticed some issues in the internet connectivity due to the windows 10 default settings. Ive gotten 2 games on this computer (WarFrame & Grand Theft Auto V) Witch both run's great for me in pretty good graphic settings. Also if you chose to get this computer and have the same issue that I had there is a easy fix on youtube.

This laptop is a great one for programming. It's has the sufficient harddive and memory and it is great. Just download some stuff like Cloud 9, Unity, etc. and ur done. I recommend this cause it also has a great speaker, and the graphics are very good. Very cheap which is another reason to get it.

This laptop is sleeker and nicer than I thought it would be. Nice wide screen, very lightweight, Windows 10 preinstalled. It's not very flimsy although I've had it for a few weeks and I've already pushed the left mouse button out of alignment, it still works though. I mainly use it to type papers and arguments... A LOT of papers and arguments. So if you need it for school and you're looking for a laptop that can withstand the amount of work that I do and the travel, then this might be for you.

Purchased it for my daughter. She used to have a Windows 8 laptop and she didn't like that very much. This coming with a Windows 10 was a big Yes. The screen size is quite generous and good configuration for the price i purchased.

I purchased this laptop to convert time lapse photo's of my art work creation process to video. The speed is more than acceptable and I am able to run multiple applications simultaneously. I immediately removed unwanted programs and added those I would need for my work. I have had no issues and as stated before the speed is more than acceptable. This is a great laptop for the price point. You will get your money's worth and then some. My only warning is, if you are looking for a gaming laptop for anything other than browser type gaming, look elsewhere. I will more than likely be replacing my wife's laptop with one of these as well.

This was the first computer and I had low budget so I found this one and I Like it. It's fastish I mean if I do not have any other apps open I can play 3D games. So if your doing regular day stuff this is he computer oh yeah the trackpad is horrible just buy a mice and 500gb. Yeah Awesome!

My boyfriend got me a windows 10 hp 15 notebook laptop a couple of weeks ago, and it was doing fine until I tried to download some apps from google store which wouldn't work. Then I found out that I have to use the windows store so I did, but every time I tried to download something the scene would cancel out, no matter what app I clicked on it would cancel out. So windows 10 can't download nothing. But other than that its a good laptop. Also you can't video chat I tried to download skype wii for free but it wouldn't work also hangout etc etc nothing worked.

I buy this laptop few days ago the price was very good and it has a lot of memory.

Great Basic Computer for Social Media and surfing. Not big into gaming and apps and all that. Great price. Have watched for best pricing for a few years. Back to School prices the best.

The computer is overall great for the price but it is a little slow. I'm an impatient person so this doesn't work for me but I like it. I'm getting use to Windows 10 and on the picture there is not DVD player but there is one on the laptop.

This laptop is much lighter and more nimble with its boot up and processing. Getting used to google docs as it did not have office installed

A little quirky at first. Text size changes while typing. Disabling touchpad for my preferred wireless mouse solved that one. Then fan sometimes spools up and down for whatever reason on certain web sites. But HP apparently has a cure for this I’ll get to later. Most error-free keyboard I’ve ever typed on. Text contrast easy on eyes. No processor speed problems. Intimidated by windows 10 for a few days but now prefer it to my old windows 7—it’s mainly a matter of removing the ad-ware and icon-ing your own stuff. Firefox works great on it, better than Edge even. So as budget laptops go, adequate for my needs at the moment

why get 1tb harddrive when theres dropbox,cloud, and google drive...save your money my ffriends 500 gigs is just right.

I purchased this for my son and thought I would get it set up before I gave it to him. It was slow and even though I was able to get it set up on our Wi-fi network it was incredibly slow. I looked at HP's website for possible fixes and tried everything they recommend including a system restore. (for a brand new computer should not be something you would have to do) I even went as far as contacting HP and telling them the problem and they wanted to remote connect with the laptop. Not sure they understood that IT WOULD NOT CONNECT or stay connected. Their next step was to send it back to them to be fixed. Not going to happen, I have already returned it to Best Buy and will be finding a better PC for my son.

I bought this , knowing it wasn't a top of the line computer , but I wanted something simple and inexpensive , since I'm a college student , it was absolutely horrible , within the day I knew it had to go back... It was extremely slow! Just about 10 minutes to load each website .... Taking it back first thing tomorrow morning !

This is the 3rd laptop I've had. I needed to get one quick, for cheap, one with enough memory. I'm annoyed. Only months later, when I try to bring up chrome, literally it takes 20 minutes. Right now I'm trying to paste my license number, after copying it, for avg download, and it WON'T. Either it's taking for ever like with Chrome, etc. OR it just won't work. Also there's a super annoying feature- gets in the way, when you move the mouse across the screen, to click on something, it zooms in, etc. It's supposed to be a feature, geek squad disabled it but still happening- really annoyed!

when i first started using this laptops it took a month before it got slow..after looking around found out half my memory was being used just to operate had 40 ports open and 24 where from Microsoft.. alot where from apps. and such...so dumped a bunch of things and got it down to 40% memory use.. but would still be slow when steaming videos... and then added 4gb more of memory... now its very fast... and took less then 2 mins. to add the chip

I bought this laptop and found it was functioning very well. I like the quiet optical drive. Only one probem it could not get connected to hotspot on my cell phone. I got it returned.I thought it was hardware problem or Window10 incompatible. I returned this and bought another brand name with window 8.1. Finally I discovered I could use the hotspot in my cell phone with proper manuel configuration (cell phone wireless provider did not give proper instruction.). It had nothing to do with hardware or Window 10. I want to correct my previous error in my review for this functioning well laptop.

My new HP arrived about noon and when I booted it up and registered, the wallpaper that started showing says TOSHIBA....how can this possibly happen??? Numerous people have witnessed it in person and I have posted a picture on my Facebook page and reported the situation to the BB forums and the HP Facebook page. How can a HP laptop show Toshiba wallpaper???!!!!!
