I have only had this laptop for a couple of weeks can hardly put it down i have a tablet and home computer syncing is very interesting this laptop takes me to so many places Microsoft edge is amazing the support is also great i absolutely love this laptop

I was looking for a basic laptop to access my work email, (need access to internet explorer) shop online and read the news. I shopped online at best buys website and compared and contrasted price and features, and also read online reviews and decided on this laptop. Once I became more comfortable with what windows 10 and setting up my preferences and am liking it more and more. I do like Cortana"s help I must say!

We purchased this laptop in November 2016 (Black Friday Sale) for my son to start college this August. It has been and it still continues to run extremely slow. Locks up frequently during minimal task usage and with no more than two web pages open at a time. I have taken it back to the Geek Squad twice and they cannot explain, fix or replace the laptop. HP will not do anything. The 1 year Manufacturer's Warranty is hopeless. A complete waste of $600. There's probably a reason why this unit was not carried in stores and only available online. I have been a Best Buy customer for 25 years and it is a shame that they or HP will not resolve this issue and my son starts college in 3 weeks. Don't waste your time or money on this laptop.

Had this laptop for 3 weeks and I started having problems with it wanting to do scan and repair which I did. This took hours and did not help. Every time I login I go through this. There is an option to skip the scan and I take that option, but it takes several minutes for my computer to come up to Windows screen, but it always has an error message. I bought Geek Squad protection and my experience with it has not gone well. Called 800 number and they couldn't help me. Tried the GeekSquad online chat and they couldn't help me. Both told me to make an appointment to take it to a Best Buy store, which I did. The store advisor told me to leave my laptop and it would be 4-5 days depending on what the problem was. The other problem I had with all 3 Geek Squad advisors they could not find my protection plan I bought for the laptop, and they kept indicating there could be charges on getting my laptop fixed. Really, my computer wasn't in my hands a month yet and I bought their Geek Squad protection and it is under HP warranty as well. I honestly think they didn't believe me when I told them I bought their protection plan as I had to give them my plan ID to prove I bought the GeekSquad plan. The store advisor told me to call the 800 No. and have them correct my name, which they said showed my middle initial on the line with my last name and that's why they couldn't find me. I called the 800 no. and they said they were sorry it wasn't showing up, everything looked good on their end and gave me a confirmation number to tell advisors. I downloaded the GeekSquad app and it shows I have no protection plan for the laptop. I told the agent I didn't want to have to try and convince agents every time I called them that I do in fact have the plan for my laptop and all she could do was apologize for the inconvenience. This is my first HP laptop and I wished I had stayed with Dell and their warranty plan. You have a problem with a Dell, they talk you through the fix on the phone or if it is a hardware problem, they send a technician to your home the next day. I have 2 - 3 more days before I am supposed to get my laptop back. I am hoping I get it back in working order with no charge. Wish me luck!

I chose this laptop after much careful research, as I have not updated myself in quite some time. I do not use my laptop every day.. but it is perfect for everything that I need - online shopping, checking emails, Skype, etc. Great find at a reasonable price!

It's great so far, only downside is incredibly short battery life. I use for Office, email, and browsing, no complaints on speed and has lots of storage

This computer does what we wanted it to do (school work). But it has been back to geek squad twice in the 5 months that we’ve owned it. Every time it does windows updates it gives us the blue screen of death and geek squad has to uninstall software. Makes doing school work very difficult.

I am very pleased with the ability to use the keyboard and touchscreen. In addition I like the keypad dimension that is included on the keyboard itself

The Sceptre is a great small pc/tablet combo. I am happy with performance, size, battery life, screen resolution, sound. What more can I say other than this model has been discontinued.

Customer Is excited about the sleekness and speed of this laptop. Had a laptop that was not of this caliber and it did not hold up. I've purchased numerous HP and have been pleased with them all.

This is a great laptop! Replacing a larger older one. It is light weight, large enough screen, and quick with internet. Has plenty of storage easy to maneuver. New and improved!

Wife had a Lenovo (full of bloatware). Once again purchased an HP and nothing short of excellent!

Based on the positive reviews for this laptop I proceeded with not only one but two. Both devices performed adequately. However, they both have batteries that only last about an hour making them totally useless. Seems like this must be a known issue since it was present in both lap tops.

I did my research-read reviews and compared-this computer was the best buy for the money-have it almost four months and still very happy with it.

Plays games well. Processes well. Does well with stock windows 10 imaged.
