I waited for a machine to have Win10 preinstalled and this machine fit the bill. Given the RAM and the 5th generation i3 processor I would have figured that machine would have booted up a bit faster. Like the touch screen and track pad. Win10 mail, not the biggest fan as there was no place to import contacts and the old emails from Windows Vista Mail. Searched how to do it, with no luck. Finally figured out to import them to Outlook.com and then sync that with Win10 mail, problem solved.

I purchased because I needed something a little more faster for work. Really enjoying Windows 10. Easy to set up, fun, fast and realiable! Well worth the purchase.

Travelling and had to buy a new laptop...the HP is an excellent buy in this price range...good features and performance for the money..touchscreen is a nice feature

This laptop, so far has worked better than expected. It has every feature needed including a 1 TB hard drive and touchscreen for under $400.00! I couldn't believe the price for all its features. I was however, somewhat concerned about a handful of negative comments in other reviews about the touchscreen not working out of the box, or failing quite quickly after purchasing. So far so good!

I did purchase this computer on sale at BB. However, it has been a good deal for the price. Very lightweight and easy to use. I also like the optional touchscreen feature. However, it is not completely fingerprint resistant as advertised...other than that, I would recommend this computer.

I was skeptical of switching to a PC after having a Mac. I was also skeptical of windows10. However, I am very happy with this laptop. The touch screen is cool, it's super fast and has a tarabite of memory. I spent some time deleting apps that came preloaded that I will never use and downloading others, but setup was easy. Windows10 is very user friendly and everything is easy to find. So far, I don't have a single complaint about this laptop. I love it!

I felt in love with this laptop for it several features. Has a touch screen, big enough screen, and lots of memory just exactly what I needed. The only issue I am having is with the sensory for the finger tip scroll is a little off, it only works accurate at the center.

The HP laptop I bought was an open box deal. I didn't save a ton, but it was the lowest price I had seen on this model of laptop, with the features and specs I was searching for. I had searched and researched buying a new laptop for months. This is not the fault of Best Buy but I feel compelled in relaying my opinion that I am not a fan of the Microsoft Windows 10 integration with Microsoft's latest browser, Windows Edge. I have a Google account and the constant e-mail alerts from where I signed in last are disturbing and clogging up my inbox. To the credit of Best Buy their employee was knowledgeable and helped me make a confident choice with my purchase. On the flip side of that coin, it was close to closing time and I was NOT offered purchase of the Geek Squad protection at the time of purchase. I was told I could return within 15 days to purchase. I ended up a bit busy working at one of 2 jobs or on my business for the 2 weeks post purchase. I called on the 19th day and pleaded my case to no avail. I feel that 15 days is not enough time to give someone on warranty or return of an item such as this. It is too large of an investment that is too integrated in to the daily lives of everyone to only cover for 15 days. It also, makes no sense to only offer the option to purchase extended warranty for 15 days, when the trial period of most all of the security or other software is 30 days! Just a thought, you keep turning away your customer's money like that and they WILL most assuredly spend it somewhere else.

Has worked very well for me so far. Was interesting to get. Maybe if I weren't so upset at my stores customer service I would have asked about battery life. The battery life is not the best on this, however it will last about a day if using constantly which is ok for me. Great touch screen. Works perfect for online school.

My husband needed a laptop for general use, but he likes the touch screens that my iPad had & his iPhone. He loves it and it is simpler than most laptops so he can figure out most of it himself. I was afraid Windows 10 would be too much for him, but apparently they got this version right. Not so hard as Windows 8.

Always had good luck with HP. My MAC fried and I needed something quickly and not too expensive. The sales person Kyle was the best and most helpful I've ever had at Best Buy. The laptop certainly lives up to my expectations and Win 10 isn't as bad as I thought. The grandchildren love the touch screen

Needed a laptop to replace my aging old laptop. Choice was to go for a touch screen laptop with i3 or above processor. Selected this laptop in bestbuy shop after comparing the available brands and this was my definite choice with the price range and my needs. Would defenitely recommend this product

Didn't have a lot of money to spend however I had been reading tons of reviews before actually purchasing this one for her and so far it seems to be working just fine, came pre-installed with windows 10 and the touch screen feature is pretty cool, my mother sometimes forgets about it when pointing at the screen and ends up clicking something.good for simple day to day use, wouldn't recommend this for gamers or video editors, the processing speeds are decent but not great

I bought this as a gift for my son's ninth birthday. I use a Mac at home and wanted a windows based system for him to use because that's what he uses in school. I must say that this is a great system. It has great parental controls and I love the touch screen. It seems pretty fast and I haven't had any issues with it freezing up or anything. Very functional and a reasonable price point. Most important is my son thinks it's cool. He doesn't ask to use my Mac anymore!

My other HP Windows 7 laptops hard drive went out only after one year and didn't want the Windows 8, didn't hear a lot of good things about it, but after reading so many great reviews on this one we got it, although I was scared with all the apps and thought it would be hard to use, boy was I wrong, once you get the hang of the apps and mail and where the settings are, its an incredible computer, super fast, great price and very easy to use , I just love it , highly recommend. ( I just pray this one lasts more than a year!!!)

This laptop is a great buy. It is super lightweight, and I feel like I can carry it back and forth to and from work without any problems. I love the touch screen, and use that feature all the time. With the addition of Microsoft Office, I feel like this will last me for a long time. Battery life could be better, but I noticed if I put it into sleep mode instead of just closing the lid it's better. Overall I would highly recommend this laptop to anyone!

This laptop is amazing. Of course I am an older user and my previous computers are/were Vista and XP so you can see anything beyond 2005 is an upgrade! When both my laptop and desktop started to cough I needed a reliable unit and found this on line. My geek guru at home was amazed at what was being offered for a good price and recommended I buy it. I email, surf, picture catalog, write letters and spreadsheets for volunteer work so this is perfect for me. FAST, efficient and lots of bells and whistles. WHY only 4 stars? I WISH they offered a book of instructions. Had to download the manual from the website and that is just nuts. How can I read it if the computer is having problems? HP needs to print a small version of important stuff to go with the computers.

My dad needed a well performing laptop that wasn't overly complicated and loaded with programs he didn't need. Plus he needed a lot of storage. 1TB and 6 GB of RAM fits the bill, and so far he loves it. It loads up quick, is easy to navigate, and the touch screen is responsive.

Very satisfied with the purchase. Very good Laptop. Bought it to replace a desktop. Just as powerful as the desktop. All the features of the laptop are awesome. I've purchased about a month ago and have been extremely satisfied with the purchase. Price was very good also. I spent a lot of time comparing several of the options with more expensive laptops and decided on this one. Great Laptop for the price. The touchscreen is an absolute bonus.
