This HP laptop is great. They have once again placed a moderately priced but good quality laptop in the market. Plenty of memory and speed for the student or home business user. It would be nice to see a longer battery life but that is not enough of a detriment for me not to recommend this computer as we normally use while plugged in anyhow. The screen size and clarity are outstanding, and if you like a touchscreen option, it has that too!

This is a great laptop, great memory, processing speed, touch screen is awesome. Windows 10, meh, not so much; it is top heavy with third party garbage games and apps with thoroughly unnecessary revisions just for the sake of revision. Finding something akin to "My Computer" or moving photos into photos is a chore. Now back to the laptop, the built in mouse keys and control are horrendous and barely responsive; you can give yourself blisters trying to work that rough, hard, pad and keys. Put a wireless or USB mouse to work with the system and use the touch screen when you can; it is almost as good as a smart phone touch screen though there are websites, like Reuters where drop down menus are really difficult on a touch screen.

I bought this computer because it's from a reputable US company and because it has all the features I wanted; all for less than $400. The unit that arrived in the mail had faulty disc drive. I called HP to see if it could be fixed at my home, and HP sent a technician to my house within a week. The technician replaced the disc drive, but the problem continued. So I took it to a local BestBuy store, and they replaced it with a brand new unit, which I am now using to write this review. I have not had any more problems with this new unit and am very happy with this purchase. I am glad that I bought a HP product from BestBuy. Both of these companies are top notch and I will continue to do business with them for many years to come.

This is a great deal for a laptop, lots of space, easy to use, fast, good viewing. I love it.

Got this laptop at regular price which is not bad, has touch screen, nice screen resolution and is pretty fast (core i3 processor). Use it for MS office, surfing and general day to day use, happy with the purchase, no issues what so ever!

My 11-year-old daughter and I were shopping for a computer for her. The sales reps were very knowledgeable in helping us compare the computers and the prices. This computer has all the memory plus bells and whistles that she will need until she is ready for high school! She loves the touchscreen, but I would recommend that buyers also stock up on screen cleaner for all the sticky little fingerprints that will accumulate!

I love it. I can either use my mouse or touch the screen and it's so easy to navigate, compared to Windows 8. I haven't had time to learn all the ins and outs of the system, but I know I will like it

I am not the best on using computers but I have really enjoyed learning about this computer. It is lighter than my old laptop and has a lot of new items on it. I think I am going to enjoy the Windows 10 that was already installed when I purchase it.

Stripped down don't have a lot of unwanted applications. That has always been one of my pet peeves a bunch of things you don't use or won't use. I like the light weight and full size computer for my work. I like windows 10 much better than 8.

This is a great laptop, has everything a college student needs at a very affordable price. Her only complaint was that the keyboard is not backlighted, other than that it has more storage and ram then most other laptops at the same price.

This item was purchased for my wife who needed a portable system for historical research in our small-town community. She was uncomfortable typing on the smaller format notebooks that she tried. With a Core i3 processor and Intel integrated graphics, this laptop is suitable for web surfing, word processing and similar tasks. It would not be suitable for intense gaming. One word of caution. At the present time, the touchscreen does not work reliably in Windows 10. Several users have reported this problem. The touchscreen works in diagnostics run outside of Windows 10. There is a known power management bug in Windows 10 that is probably the cause of the problem and should fixed in one of the frequent Windows updates. If you can't live without touchscreen, I wouldn't buy this system until a fix has been reported.

A terrific machine for the money with lots of storage and memory. I wasn't sure about having a touch-screen laptop but it's been lovely and I enjoy it very much. The keyboard touch is a bit harder than I've ever had and is taking time to become accustomed. Preloaded with Windows 10 and minimal junk software, this laptop is a total win.

Great family laptop - and I loaded MS Office Suite for when I have to bring office work home. Since I have the ASUS T100 and an IPAD Air with a keyboard case, touchscreen is now a must for me, and for the price this laptop is head and shoulders above the rest in value and features. Takes a while to boot, but that's relative since my other devices spoil me in that department.

Was in the market for a new computer after my Toshiba died after a year, and wanted to go back to Hp because I had one before and loved it. We bought two of these. We had to return one because it had a sticky key. We exchanged it for another and it works fine. The price is good for the features, but some of overall construction is lower quality as an offset.

My last two laptops were another brand which I was having problems. Decided I wanted a larger hard drive and touch screen. This was a good choice as was the same amount as the other brand. Performance is quick and good,
