Bought this laptop on August 21,2015. 2 1/2 weeks later the hard drive crashed. Brought it to the Geek squad that confirmed it was a factory defect, not something we did. Geek squad was great and took the dead laptop back and gave us a new one. So far,we've had the new one 2 weeks and so far so good. It's fast, looks great and does a great job.

I'm not a big computer person, so I don't really understand all of the information about details, but so far, my experience with this computer has been good. I'm a graduate student, so I primarily use it for the internet, word processing, and Netflix, and it, you know, does those things. Successfully. I had an Asus before, and I definitely prefer this. I don't need or use the touch screen very often, but it's also pretty cool.

My father knows a bit more about computers than I do. He said this was a good one, especially for the price! I love it! It's so much fun being able to use the touch screen when I feel like it. Windows 10 is a little different than what I'm used to but it's easy. And the machine itself is so light and thin. I'm definitely happy with this purchase!

I really love this touchscreen laptop with Windows 10 pre-installed. It's easy and fun to use. I'm still learning about all the wonderful things it can do. Can't wait to find out more. I highly recommend this computer.

I bought this laptop for my high school son for Christmas. It has been great. I had it set up by the geek squad and its memory and speed has been very good with my son's school work and games.

I love my laptop! It performs well with Windows 10 and the speeds are fast for me. I installed some of my own programs like Office and Norton with no issues. It is light for the size of the laptop and I just installed it to a docking station for my monitor & other devices without any problems. Great laptop for the price!!!

Got this laptop for my middle school daughter. It was her first computer so I really did my research. The computer is fast on start up and has a great amount of storage. The trackpad is a bit tricky and takes sometime to get use to, but if not its nothing a wireless mouse attachment can't solve. For a first laptop it is a good purchase, the touchscreen adds an extra bonus especially for the price. It has a newer i3 5th generation which can keep up with older i5 processors. Overall I would recommend for a young student or even for family use.

I am a heavy user of AutoCAD and Photoshop and this works great at keeping up with my quick pace-switching between these programs and emailing. I have carpeting, which came in handy when my toddler tipped the sofa table and the computer toppled over. Didn't even blink. Then a week later the cat knocked it off of the bedside table. Still runs great. Windows 10 is simple to navigate and it has a lot of features that I find beneficial to what I use it for. The look of it seems very stealthy as there are not a lot of lights to it to indicate what is running-the led lights are like pinholes on the side. There's no colorful lighting like the wireless or mute button on my old pavilion. I kind of find the sparseness refreshing. If I didn't have a wireless mouse I might find the touchpad limiting, as every time I use it my finger goes beyond the bounds without my realizing.

The laptop had all the features I needed. I'm lucky it's a touchscreen because the touchpad does not move smoothly.
Windows 10 has some bugs to work out. I had to take it to the Geek Squad to set up my emails. The one in windows 10 doesn't work.
Otherwise it seems to meet my needs

I held off buying a laptop because I thought it would be too expensive. I didn't know you could get a really nice one for $399. With the purchase of office on sale for $98 it cost $500 total.
It does everything I need, has great storage and I love the touch screen when I use it. Have had no problems at all.

Enough power and plenty of storage for college or basic computing. If you're launching spreadsheets instead of rockets, this is the perfect computer. Forgot it was a touchscreen model, what a plus.

This new HP was the perfect choice for me, I love it. I really enjoy the touchscreen for the convenience of it alone. At first I was not a fan of Windows 10, but it has grown on me. There are so many things to say positive regarding this small lightweight laptop that I am glad that I purchased it everyday.

I dropped my Toshiba and had the Geek Squad Plan so Best Buy replaced it with the HP and I ended up liking it better. One thing I like about it is the touch on the keyboard is so much better so I can type faster. I have loads more memory, the touch screen is awesome. I can't think of a thing I don't like!

Everything works fine. Nothing to complain about. It isn't up-to-date laptop, but it has touch screen, large hard drive, enough memory to work fast. It's a good price/value deal.

This is a lot of laptop for the money! It will do what most people want really well ... surf the internet, light office work and room to store lots of stuff. Sure there are faster machines out there, but do you really need it? Most people don't. Keep some money in your pocket, HP is serious about value.

I bought this because of the touch screen alone. The screen however is poor quality, feels and looks cheap. I frequently have issues with the screen not responding to my touch. Same as the TouchPad and keyboard, which isnt center because of the number pad on the keyboard but I digress. Battery life is about 3-4 hours, regardless of what I'm doing.
Windows 10 runs great on this machine. I run Java eclipse and Fruity loops studio on this laptop and both programs run flawlessly.
I would recommend this to anyone who desires a touch screen laptop, with decent specs thall run most programs and Web browsing with no stutters at all.

While waiting to find if our "old" laptop could be fixed we made this quick purchase. This laptop cost a fraction of our last one and in many ways it's evident. It feels cheaper, plasticy, very lightweight, but not necessarily in a good way. We miss many of the features of our good laptop, such as the keys being backlit and longer battery life. I've had warning that I need to close some windows to get the best performance from the laptop (I had about 7 tabs open at the time). BUT, we only got two years from the $800 laptop, equivalent would have cost us about $1000. For the price we paid for this one, we got what we paid for.
