Wife needed a laptop to use for studying. Saw this one and saw that it had a 1 terabyte drive, 8 gigs of ram already with a dvd rom.. all she needed, plus a 17 inch screen. Now the battery life is not that great, but it's ok since we will be using it on a desk next to an outlet. Also, startup time is pretty slow, but plan to replace with an ssd and keep the other drive for a back up.

I was looking for a new laptop that was light weight and had good speed. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I've never had an HP laptop, only HP printers, but my son got an HP and loves it. I'm glad I listened. So far, this laptop is exactly what I was looking for. Is taking a little time getting used to Windows 10, but I like it. Would recommend this laptop 100%.

I tried to buy close to the computer I had before, and I think I did a good job choosing the HP Notebook I got. The screen is huge, the whole thing is easy to use. It's also lighter to carry than the old one, a surprise bonus!

I was looking for a laptop that was not overly expensive but also had a decent amount of storage rather then relying on putting my data on a cloud. This laptop was perfect and has been great for me. I love the 17 inch screen and though it’s obviously larger, it’s weight is not excessive. No complaints about this computer.

I needed a new laptop because my old one crash and burned due to falling off a table. I have to admit this laptop is awesome, it can run serato dj flawlessly with no issues. It definitely worth the buy, even better while on sale.

I bought this pc to replace my older model Dell. First, I really like the larger screen. The details are so much more clear. Next...I was pleasantly surprised how fast it is, yet very quiet when operating. My husband has a 17" ASUS and loves it, but my new HP feels as if it weighs half as much as his. Love it!

Nice quick laptop. Has a big screen. Easy to see. Removed bloatware and it runs just fine!

I bought this computer last week and been using it for a week. I used to use a Lenovo x series laptop x230. This dell computer is much faster than my old one and the screen is big enough for my eyes and feel comfortable, hardware is 1tb big enough for store movie and music. I use it at home. Recommended!

This is a GREAT laptop for the money and HP machines are very reliable. The processor is an Intel I5 with plenty of power. Ram is fine with 8GB and the 1TB hard drive is a nice addition. Most, if not all of the comparable 17" laptops will cost a lot more. Get the bundle price with either the optical mouse or the Office 365 package. Well worth the money.

My sister wanted a new computer and this one was in her price range. Good amount of ram & great amount of internal storage. She thinks it's fast but she only surf the net, email and maybe an online game or two. She doesn't do anything too fancy with it.

I had been looking to replace my old Toshiba with another 17-inch and this one fit my needs. Processor speed is adequate (not a gamer) and the larger memory keeps everything running smoothly. I still hate Windows10, but this pc makes it manageable.

For the money, this laptop can't be beat. I did not want a touch screen. It has plenty of power and memory both the RAM and the 1 T hard drive. It is slightly lighter and the screen is far better than my previous HP. I highly recommend this product.

Great price for a good computer, nice and thin but a little heavy. As others have said, it's great for a "desktop" laptop but too big to use on your lap. No problems with it so far. Plenty of memory and speed. Runs multiple programs w/o problems.

I found this computer to be very easy to operate. I like the size of the screen and the touch is easy. It meets all my needs as I use if mainly for emails, writing documents and social media. I do not do gaming or streaming very often but I am told that there is plenty of storage for that.

I love my laptop. It's nice and big, but also not super heavy. I use it a lot to play games like the sims. Works great with them including all the expansions. It's better than my desktop! Highly recommend. Just wish the battery life was longer.

I love my new laptop. Quick, fast, easy to set up, does all the settings for internet pretty simply and using it online is excellent in speed. Large screen in great and having the full number pad on the right speeds up data entry like you wouldn't believe. Perfect.

Theres nothing super trick and fancy about but its a great laptop. Nice big screen and it got its speed to get me where I need to go. The only bad thing I can say about the laptop is that the keys a textured instead of being smooth. If they where smooth it would have been a big home run. But obviously that is a personal opinion and it wasnt bad enough to stop me from purchasing it.

The HP 17.3" Laptop - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 1TB HDD Black 17-X116DX had just what I was looking for (a computer that still had a CD/DVD drive)! The $480. on sale price was such a super bargain that I purchased two. This is a great laptop; it runs smoothly and processes speedily. If you are looking for a laptop with a CD/DVD drive, then I highly recommend this product.

good price for what you are getting for now, especially the seventeen plus inch screen, and its RAM and processor speed and internal memory, and great sharpness of screen. It's rather heavy for lap top
