Works fast, plenty of storage, and the memory is upgradeable to 16 gigs, I've seen higher priced desktops that don't have the features this model does. Nice for the price, Thank you HP.

I purchased this machine for a client that needed a new machine after the hard drive failed in there six year old plus computer. However, they didn't want to learn Windows 10 and still had a license for Windows 7. I installed Windows 7 on the machine, aside for hunting for a few drivers, everything worked - **Everything except the graphics card**. No matter what driver ATI/AMD driver you find - you will not get it to work with Windows 7. A few other notes to would be buyers: * This machine is a Laptop in a Tower Case. This machine uses mostly laptop/notebook components and stuff them into a tower case. This has been an increasing trend with 'desktop' computers lately. * Power Supply is a Laptop Power Cord. No real desktop class power supply. The machine has PCI-X slots but no way to power the hungry cards. * Few or no real upgrade paths, see point one above. Overall the machine is fine for entry level machine, as long as you keep Windows 10 on it. No Graphic Card Upgrade Option

The computer works and responds very well. For only 6gb of shared memory it performs well. The 1 Tb hdd was a surprise operating at 7200 rpm. Unfortunately the cpu is only 1.8 ghz quad core but it does turbo boost over 2 ghz if needed which isn't bad. Performs everyday tasks quickly, streams full screen 1080p videos smoothly and even plays some games on medium settings but you may want to upgrade the memory to 12-16 gb since its shared with the onboard graphics. HP released a very decent computer for the price, especially if you can find one open box. Will recommend this to anyone. Eventually upgrading this to solid state drive with 12-16 gb memory is recommended for any owner of this pc.

I got this HP on 03/22/2016 as a quick replacement for my HP Pavilion Envy e9210t desktop (Win 7 Pro 64-bit) that needs to be wiped & have a clean OS, Software, Drivers... reinstallation performed on it. The HP 251-a244 A6 Series desktop comes with Windows 10 Home (64 bit) preinstalled. Coming straight from a Windows 7 Pro (64-bit) OS to Windows 10, it's taking me awhile to get use to the new OS. I would, by all means, recommend this computer system to a friend. If you're getting this to be a main computer, I would take a close look at the: HP 251-a244 8-Series Desktop as well. This is my first AMD computer and I'm beyond impressed with it's performance. It's a fast and reliable desktop computer!

A problem with non-installation of webroot. After I was told it was installed twice I learned it was not installed. I hope it is installed now. I chose Best Buy because of Geek Squad so that was a little disappointing. A suggestion: you need to instill within both sales and other staff that there are still a lot of people like me (over 60) for whom computers are not something I grew up with. It helps to understand the depth of our lack of understanding and to not assume we possess the basic knowledge that most younger persons acquired early in life.

Accomplishes all the day to day work I need, i.e.; web browsing, office applications, and more quickly. I never feel like I am waiting on the computer. Fairly cheap for all you get. Would recommend.

This computer is exactly what I was looking for. It was easy to set-up, runs quickly and does what I need it to do.

My Dell laptop died after 1 month and they refused to fix it under warranty (never buy a Dell) so I ended up replacing it with this. It's not the most powerful machine in the world, but it manages to do the job pretty well. I purchased it for basic work tasks like checking email and websites and handling simple programs like Word, Excel, and QuickBooks. It occasionally will run slow or lock up, usually when I have many different things open, but overall it has been a great machine for the money. And hey, it's lasted more than a month, so it's already done a better job than the Dell that cost $50 more!

I needed to replace my computer and the HP filled the bill. I wanted at least 1T memory and the HP had my memory plus the price was right. The Geek Squad was helpful in transferring my data into my new machine. I was concerned about using Windows 10 but it was easy to learn. If your looking for a reasonably priced computer this is the one for you.

this is a light weight hp tower but the speed is there. a little noisy when it starts up but i love it. lots of memory and surfs very well . if your looking for everyday surfing and playing games or download movies to watch this is perfect.

This computer does the job. It was the right price and easy to use. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because I had to purchase windows home/office separately. Also I don't know why the cd draw is vertical when there is enough room for it to be horizontal. The cds stay but it looks like it wants to fall out. Overall great computer for a great price.

I am happy with the HP computer. I was formerly using a Gateway system with Windows 7. It is a pleasure working with the new features and also Windows 10.

I really like the windows 10 platform. It's simple to use and seems really fast. This computer is more than adequate for my needs and was really reasonable.

I am very happy with this desktop computer. It's extremely fast and the latest Windows 10 is much more user friendly than the 8.1 I was using. I will definitely check out other HP brand electronics in the future.

This is a `basic computer at a reasonable price. I have been a fan of HP since the last century. This computer is for my wife's use and meets her needs. The on e drawback for me is a perpendicular cd/dvd drive. As an older type person, I like using things that I am used to and a perpendicular cd/dvd drive was something I am not used to. However, this computer seems to be working well for my wife who said just the other day: "I like this computer."
