I've had the computer for about a month now and pretty much know my way around it. First the good: 1) It is very fast for the intended purpose - home office and it is relatively well made. 2) Has an internal expansion for one 3.5" hard drive. Given the current capacity of hard drives, this is adequate for most people and if need be, additional USB drives can be added externally. NOTE: in a previous review, an HP technician has stated that the expansion is for a 2.5" drive, but I assure you, it is a 3.5", as I have personally added one. The bad: Even though it is billed as a desktop computer, most people store it either under a desk or in a nook built for a computer and HP knows this but two items make it difficult to use: 1) The power switch LED goes off when the computer is off. Given how small it is and it's color - black, turning the machine on becomes an exercise in fumble and hunt. Other HP products have an amber LED for when the device is switched off. HP would do well to copy suit. 2) The DVD drive is installed vertically. I kid you not. It is impossible to load or remove a DVD disk with just one hand and given that the tray is somewhat flimsy, a good chance to break it in the process. The ugly: Hands down the keyboard must be the worst feature of this computer. Let's face it, anyone who buys a desktop computer, even if not a keyboard jokey, their main mode of interaction with it is still going to be via the keyboard. HP has decided to ship the computer with a keyboard that is more suitable as an addon for a phone or a tablet. The function keys are less than half the size of regular keys and you have to press and hold a meta-key marked "fn" first and then press the intended function key. The caps lock key, it has a tiny and very dim LED on top to indicate if it is active. Most of the time it is hidden by the left hand and to view it, the left hand must be removed from the keyboard. Even then the LED can be seen only by looking at it from directly vertically above. Most keyboards have an led somewhere near the top right corner, generally above the numeric keypad and that would work very well.

Bought this for my son who uses it for streaming videos online. Works great for his needs! It is a bit slow when starting up, but is fine streaming. Excellent price point

I was extremely unhappy due to the lack of support offered by HP by not providing a manual for the keyboard. There are over 20 keys that I do not understand. Even after a 20 minute phone call, they refused to give me a printout explaining the keyboard. They said I had to get the info online. I don't find that practical, having to read from the monitor while using the keys. They said they wanted to save trees ! I said they did not have to supply a manual with every keyboard, but make them available on demand. Still, they refused. I will not buy another HP product.
