Customers are saying
Customers commend this HP desktop for its excellent value and performance, particularly highlighting the ease of upgrading the RAM and the system's overall speed. However, some users express concerns regarding the limited power supply, which may restrict the addition of a high-performance graphics card, and the cooling system's adequacy. The BIOS's limited capabilities are also mentioned as a drawback by some customers.

BIOS Error
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The PC was broke out of the box. Got a thermal error on power up. I saw other people reporting the same issue after I got mine. When I bought it the pc had a few 5 star ratings. I bought it, it was defective, now I give it 1 star.

Perfect entry or mid level PC!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very fast little computer. Added another 8gb of ram and it can play most mid level games such as fallout 4 and titanfall no sweat. Small case design very elegant looking and space saving. I do highly recommend the ram upgrade as two new 8gb sticks was only 75$ and it makes things run much smoother. Overall perfect for work or mid level gaming.

Great value for parting-out
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm giving it a 4-star review because this is a great deal and fits exactly what I need right now, but I agree with the other one-star review that the components HP chose for this are very strange for a budget PC. The Ryzen 7 4700G is arguably the best CPU with integrated graphics on the market right now, but the rest of the components are too limiting for that choice to make any sense. Its like they put a sports car engine in a Fiat 500. My score is based on the value of the build itself and not necessarily the overall quality of the machine. My plan is to use this stock for a while and then pull the CPU into a higher-quality build. I'll then swap in a much cheaper AMD chip. The processor itself is only available from OEMs and is worth approximately $300 retail. In reality its actually +$400 right now because they're having a hard time keeping Ryzen CPUs in stock, so its a phenomenal value. But this probably doesn't make sense for most people.

Reliable Desktop Computer; Good Value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good, reliable desktop -- I've had this desktop for four years and it's been very dependable. I added more ram due to running graphics programs and it's worked very well ever since.

Better than Intel with integrated graphics
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is hands down better than any Intel I7 computer with integrated graphics and it's cheaper! The computer has gone on sale a few times - cheapest was around $450 and a few times for around $550. If you want to game on it at high resolutions you will probably need to add another stick of RAM and a larger hard drive. There are youtube videos comparing the 4700g to an Intel I7 with a GeForce graphics card and the frame rates were similar. Without the graphics card the frame rate for the 4700g was more than double what the I7 could do.
