I have purchased many PCs in my life, but this one is in a class by itself. I am not a gamer but require speed for my applications. This is greased lightning, incredibly fast and easy to use. The speed, quality, and layout of this machine are excellent. I praise this product in every way but two: I would prefer a better lighted keyboard (my old HP one was far better), and it is a little heavy. I reconcile the weight, though, because it is over 17" screen with optical drive. In the end, this was a great purchase, perfect for business and I imagine awesome for gamers. Love it!

This Laptop I bought is very fast, Easy to use and has the new windows 10. I have a Desktop HP ENvy with windows 8.1 and now this HP Envy with Windows 10. I like Windows 10 much better. It is easier to navigate around and find things I use everyday. The Price I paid was great, This is a core I7 Laptop with a 17.3 inch screen and all the other makes of laptops with almost the same features all had 15.6 inch screens. And they were all a couple hundred more to buy them. This one also had 16GB of ram while the others all had only 8GB of ram. This was a Fantastic buy at Best Buy!!!

I was in the market for a new 17" laptop with a touch screen, similar to my other laptops. This HP ENVY has so many features that I felt compelled to buy it! The screen is sharp and clear, has loads of power and tons of storage, it has a lighted keyboard, and has rich sound provided by Bang & Olufsen. It's the best sounding laptop I have ever heard! It also has a nice drive on it ( needed for my work). And, sure it's not light--but is still much lighter than my old 17". This ENVY is a beautiful laptop and I'm happy with my purchase.

I have been using my Envy laptop for just over a month. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I love the touch screen option and that I can make notes and such on webpages. It has a great picture and good sound. It seems to run smoothly and having Cortana is nice. I also really like the size of the screen, which is great for watching Netflix. The only complaint I have is the battery doesn't last as long as I would like. I find I have to plug it in frequently.

This is now the most powerful computer in my house. It will be a bit too much computer for the casual user but for my architecture student the power and screen size are perfect. Due to the vibrant screen, it may also be perfect for seniors - though doubtful that most would need its power. Very happy. And a great deal to boot!

This laptop is perfect for home use...balancing the checkbook, surfing the web, etc. I am not a gamer, so I can offer no experiences in that regard. It's just what I was looking for. It has the best laptop keyboard I have seen. The touch screen is a good option. Voice commands are quick and accurate. I bought a wireless mouse which makes using this computer a joy. The only possible drawback is its weight. This is not a machine you would want to lug around all day.

I really like the big screen and the quality of the picture is incredible. The speed is awesome and the key board is great. The only problem I had was I had to reconnect to my Wi-Fi a couple of times. Not sure why but I was able to do it with out to much problem. I haven't had this laptop for very long but I think it will be a good one for many years to come. I like windows 10 but there is a learning curb that's for sure.

This is a perfect powerful touch screen laptop with every feature you can think of. It good to do more than one project at a time. It is well worth the money. i love it. it also guides and direct me when I need help. I can't find anything wrong with it. I can do homework while playing the sims 4 at the same time. It has a lot of power!!! You will love and won't regret.

After shying away from laptops for years, I finally found one with everything I wanted. Large HD screen, 1TB hard drive, Cd/DVD, HDMI out, SD card reader and the i7 processor. It comes with Cyberlink software for videos and photos. My only wish is that it would have came with Windows 8 instead of 10. It's worth the extra money, but I waited for the $100 off anyway.

Good product with a good price. I like the fact that it is touch screen and that it has 1TB storage.

It is a very good computer, but with a good computer there is a price. Although the computer is fast and has a lot of memory, this computer lacks battery power. Nonetheless I am happy with my purchase. I don't want another laptop. Great for college projects !

Likes: 1) big screen - 17.3" fit the bill for the price 2) DVD player/recorder included, & 1T HDD 3) win 10 already loaded,but initial updates for ALL software took over 1 hour with my slow internet connection 4) ports included USB 3.0 , HDMI, & wired internet plug (I don't remember the official designation) 5) B&O speakers/sound seemed OK for a laptop but I really did not have high expectations anyway 6) 16GB memory & i7 CPU sounded good; I was expecting blazing speed but when I wanted to transfer a jpg from Pictures to MyFamilyPics, it took an awfully long time; avidemux (a free video editting app) ran fast though. 7) NO touch screen is a plus for me... touch screen is great for a tablet laying flat on your lap or on a table but awkward for a laptop, in my opinion, and not worth the extra $100 8) good looking (black and silver) Dislikes: 1) touch pad. My previous old laptop had a touchpad with 2 button below to correspond to the two buttons on a mouse, the touchpad basically controls the cursor with one fingertip; This one is a new deal: no buttons and you can zoom in /out with 2 fingers; Following cascading menu items requires lifting your fingertip for the next selection; (I know this is not a good explanation; just lift your finger before tapping to accept a new selection) Not intuitive, looks like I might have to find & read the manual; It's like a half-baked analog of a touch screen on a touchpad; I imagine there are other additional functions and features but this is far as I got for now; Frustrating & painful experience; I read another reviewer was so unhappy with the touchpad he/she returned the computer; I now really understand 2) No indicator light for NumLock!!!!!!! I use EXCEL spreadsheets alot so this is a big deal; There is a light for CapsLock, though 3) the usual bloatware for trial & sale Features I don't care about one way or another: (I would be just as happy if they left them out and dropped the price) 1) Battery life not important to me; I plug into the wall (almost) all the time 2) Built-in Camera; Make sure it's off when you're using the computer naked on the throne. 3) Back-lighted keyboard looks impressive, but it really doesn't do anything for me in term of functionality so far; I would not miss it if they had let it off.

Love everything about this computer, except the battery seems to be depleting really fast. Not a big deal for us, as we can leave it plugged in most of the time. We bought this one because it has the option of inserting discs. Love the feeling of the buttons, the large screen and high resolution.

It has taken 2 Geek Squad calls and having them tune up the computer to get it running as I might have expected. The keyboard lights are very bright and can be turned off but not dimmed. The size is great and I actually like Windows 10. Overall, I am happy with the computer for the price.

This is the first laptop I bought myself after my gateway from 2006 croaked. This computer blows me away with how much faster it is. I've always been an HP fan, can't seem to kill these computers, but I really feel like this one will last a very long time. Also love the touchscreen. So precise.

I was looking to get a gaming laptop for use in bed while talking to my wife as she watched TV. The price on this system was half of what I saw on barely better systems. I have been using it almost every night for the past month without any problems, and am very satisfied with it. It runs every game I throw at it in fairly good detail.

Absolutely love this laptop. Haven't had a good one for a while. It's fast, haven't had it lag on me one bit, and haven't one problem yet and I've had it for about a month. Screen size is also such a plus, it's huge! Only downside is its heavy, but I'm using it for home use so it's not that big of a deal. Would definitely buy it over again if I had the choice :)

Glitchy in the begining ... windows 10 ? Could be the reason ... but its more snappy now ... and fast ... there is a problem with the backlighting bleeding through the edges of the screen ... i took it back for a rreplacment .. and its the same ... but only in certain screens like when playing a dvd ... ive already talked to HP techs ... and some other people were complaining about the same screen problem ... also there is no dvd player software that comes with this machine ... you have to purchase it seprately ... other than that it works ... i bought it 4 video editing ... and its faster than my Alienware ...

Plenty of space for our documents and media. The touch screen works great - easy to maneuver through apps and programs. Larger and heavier for more home use, rather than carrying around like to class or work. Haven't played much media on it to discover its full potential yet.

I purchased this laptop on recommendation from a friend replacing a Toshiba laptop. It has not let me down. Large touch screen is easy on the eyes and having the touch screen Makes my work load task worthy. The battery does not hold a charge for as long as I would like. but overall I am happy with the laptop
