This laptop has a very large screen and a nice amount of RAM and Hard Drive Space. I had a little trouble setting it up as a dual boot; based on internet research this seems to be specific to HP. I didn't think about researching this prior to purchase. In the end I was able to get it working as needed.

Great computer...fast, nice screen, plenty of memory, keyboard is comfortable. I usually keep it plugged in, so I can't comment on the battery. The one thing I don't like is the volume...doesn't get very loud. I can't imagine any casual computer user not liking this computer. I purchased a wireless mouse...but the touchpad works fine.

My first laptop, so I shopped around. I had a mailer from Costco in my hand with a model picked out, so stopped in to check on comparable models. This model gave me more hardware for a lower price. I'm only "missing" the Office program that was included on Costco's model, but I didn't want that anyway. Plenty of power to run my embroidery and quilting programs, which was my biggest concern. I'm totally happy with it.

I am so happy with my new HP Envy computer. Great screen, speed and programming. I love it.

I have been running a home based business with paper reports because my desktop computer crashed 3 years ago and I couldn't afford a new one. My brother builds computers and told me I should just go to Best Buy and pick out what I wanted. I took my daughter with me and together we picked this one. It has plenty of storage and is easy to use. The customer service was outstanding and I love my new laptop!!!

Specifically searching for 17” laptop, I’m very pleased with the configuration I got. Of course, just started to load the development software, but is lightning fast, and still has the old fashion attached CD. Is a perfect laptop for presentations or watching TV online. Windows 10, no upgrades, clean one.

I use this computer in place of a desktop and have an external monitor, wireless keyboard, and mouse hooked up to it. Monitor is attached via the HDMI cable which is nice.. After one month I have had no issues and it works as expected. I was able to use a hundred and fifty dollar off student coupon with it and with it already on sale it was a great value for the price. In all honesty, I bought this in Mid August right after Windows 10 came out which came pre-installed on this system and any issues I might have, or have had, appear to be from learning the new Operating System and not with the actual hardware (computer). I will say there is no lag with the external monitor hooked up and streaming a movie on one screen and doing basic computer work on the other. Was also able to replace an aging printer/scanner for a new one (HP Officejet 4360) for only 20 bucks with the purchase of this PC so that was a good deal too (less than eight hundred for PC and printer). Overall pretty satisfied, I'd give it five stars but there are still some things I haven't tried yet and I had to purchase Office 365 separately. Luckily I was able to get the discounted student version but it still bothers me that Windows is making people pay extra for something that used to be standard with new Windows PC's.

Got a large screen lap top to do my AutoCAD work when not at home. Wanted the largest screen available for maximum viewing. I am very please with the screen and the computer. I can have multiple applications running. The battery life is approx. 2 hours running AutoCAD which is a big increase from earlier owned laptops. I have not use the touch screen application. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I bought this laptop primarily for photo editing and uploading images to the Internet. It is quick to merge and to batch files. I have no issues with it from that perspective. However, the battery life is just too short. On average, I get about 3.25 hours out of it, and I wish it would last longer. Access to an external power source is not always available.

My trusty laptop was having a nervous breakdown and I needed a new one before something serious happened. This HP model met all the specs given to me by my computer tech and was in my price range. I am very happy with my choice. I love the bright screen! It's fast! I have already recommended it to a few friends.

This gaming laptop has decent graphics to play most games in 60 FPS. It does overheat when you play games for a long period of time but you can buy a fan to cool the computer.This is better than buying a more expensive laptop because it is cheaper and it has about the same graphics power as a very expensive one.

This computer was purchased for my wife who was replacing a 6 year old computer. This computer is blazingly fast and was a breeze to set up. In about an hour I had it connected to our home network and able to print to our two printers. My wife loves the 17 inch screen and we are both pleased. We got the computer on sale for on sale for $899 but would have paid more if we had to.

I'm not computer professional , I was needed new computer replace my broken one . But good one , with best processor, great new features . This computer have all this . Touch screen very helpful , let do everything more easy , faster . Backlit keyboard amazing features , DVD/CD drive resolve so many problem . I need computer for business every day . I glad to have this one .

Has all the power and storage anyone might need. Can not go wrong with HP.

For what you get for the cost, caught it on sale with student discount, it's a fantastic value. Even at full retail, it's is a good value. So far no issues at all. Very stable. Beautiful display, lots of power and can even run games. Sure there are more powerful options out there but at significantly greater cost. This hits a sweet spot for those of us on a budget.
