Purchased as a gift for Dad. The dual touch and keyboard option works really well for him. Coupled with Windows 10, he has really been enjoying this laptop. Screen is big and clear. Lightweight and looks very sleek. Got it for a great price also.

This is a great computer with plenty of memory for the money. I would recommend this hp computer.

If you are looking for a blazingly fast, workhorse of a computer at a reasonable price, this is your pick. I have yet to tax the onboard memory of 16 GB, admittedly, I am not a gamer. I do however abuse pcs severely and they often "break" when I do so running multiple apps, some of which are resource hogs, at the same time. It is a bit heavy for a laptop but if this is not concern I think you will enjoy this machine. I believe it will easily replace most all desktops without missing a step. My only dislike is Windows 10 but that is just me.

This laptop is perfect for someone who wants power and nice clear screen, but it is not for me because it is too bulky and heavy for travel. I returned this item to purchase a smaller laptop. (15' laptop)

I'm very pleased with my purchase. Machine runs great and I've had no issues. It fixed some of the win10 issues i was having after upgrading my old laptop. The only negative i have is the cd tray is very flimsy and pushing the little button to open is hard. However I'm now using the keyboard function key to eject. I don't have any issues with the touchpad as very similar to my old one. It's lighter weight than my previous HP laptop. Battery life is what they say, but with that video and size, what do you expect. I use this as a portable desktop. So far very happy.

Had all the specifics I was looking for in a computer and is beautiful as well. The sales associate at Best Buy in Knightdale, NC was very knowledgeable in explaining the technical aspects of this computer specifically designed for Best Buy by HP. Have had no problems with hardware. Getting familiar with Windows 10 bit by bit. Love the 1080p resolution screen. Like having the 16 GB RAM, 4 USB ports, SD card port, DVD/CD player, number keypad in addition to the letter keypad, a dedicated Graphics card, and the most up to date Core i7 processor.

Not a bad buy for the price. Good processor speed, i7, ram at 16G gives an adequate amount of resources for muticasting, 1T of storage is great too.

The HP Envy 17.3 inch laptop satisfies all of my requirements for a laptop. Windows 10 responds quickly, browsing is fast, the Wi-Fi network connection is trouble-free and the keyboard is nice. The Intel processor is only dual-core but this laptop runs much cooler than a quad-core. The large 17.3 inch touchscreen is very clear and I also output via HDMI to a 24 inch monitor. All of the ports, including 4 USB, are located near the back of the laptop thus minimizing cable clutter. I have no issues with the touchscreen or the touchpad although I prefer using my Logitech wireless mouse for the majority of screen navigation. The DVD/CD drive functions well and so far I have ripped over 70 hours of CD music to the hard drive. The only mild annoyance I have is with the barely audible noise from the hard drive when data is being accessed. At first I thought it was random electrical noise through the speakers, but the high frequency ‘ticking’ sound is definitely from the hard drive. I must admit my ears are very sensitive to higher frequencies and this laptop is essentially silent when I compare it to the horrendously loud fan noise from my old desktop. Overall I am quite happy with my HP Envy laptop and, if given a choice, I would pick this model again.

Very powerful machine, but the hard drive is pretty loud like most people have said. Apps load fast, love the touchscreen very convenient.

Got this for my bday ... Awesome laptop love the size touch screen is cool but don't ever use it. Decent gaming laptop has almost the same video ram is in a ASus gamers laptop.

I replaced a desk top computer with the HP Envy and have been very pleased. Very powerful and the screen resolution is fantastic! The only downside is the weight of the machine, but with a 17.2 inch screen, that is to be expected.

This laptop is really huge and heavy, but it is a real workhorse. The resolution is outstanding, the speed is phenomenal. I took it to a conference and hooked it up to a standard projector and they said it was "too powerful" and overwhelmed their equipment. Only downside is the size and weight, but once you haul it where it needs to be you can't beat it. As close to a desktop as you want to be.

This laptop is definitely one of the top HP laptops I've ever purchased. It's got plenty of disk space and memory. The processor is phenomenal.

This computer has some things that the entire family can take advantage of. Also good for a small business. Fast and reliable computer.

It took me a minute to figure out how to use the computer, but once I got the new programs figured out it has been great. Very user-friendly, durable, looks great, and has a big screen which is nice for all the things that I do.

still learning to use it. Not overly happy w/ in store Geek Squad the 1st day I brought my old computer out. The said data from external could not be retrieved but I was able to do it when I got home. I do like Windows 10.

The machine is very fast. It does everything I want it to do. Video is clear, no stutters. Audio brings out high and low frequencies. Very satisfied with the purchase.

I Love my lap top just hard for me to get use to the Windows 10. I also have windows 8 and windows 7. Keeps me on my toes going from one to the other. Good price on it when I bought it. Got it on sale. That was a plus.

Excellent so far. It is really fast with no problems. The graphics are rich and the sound system is much improved with greater volume and harmonic balance than other laptops. I plan to use it for QuickBooks and Finale.

So far I am still learning to use this computer. Tutorials help a lot.. Much better operating system than Vista. This is my first time to use Windows 10. I LIKE IT!
