I shopped around and around before purchasing this lap top not wanting to part with a grand but wanting all the bells and whistles this one has and I wanted the 17.3 Touch-Screen Laptop - 6th generation Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory with 1TB Hard Drive. This is more computer then I need and after using it for a couple of months I am glad I waited to get this, absolutely no regrets. This thing feels like it is built like a tank very sturdy and it is not a "rugged computer" like in the military but also it is not some light weight flimsy plastic thing. This might be a little heavy for some people but I like the way it is made. I have owned and used several lap tops before and they always seemed to get hot, I have not noticed this with this lap top, after being on for several hours I do not feel any heat on the bottom of the computer at all. I really believe HP got it right with this one. There are a couple of things that I am not happy with but it is not about the computer it is trying to adjust to windows 10, I was very happy with XP and windows 7. This lap top is replacing my Sony VAIO 11inch with XP that I purchased for $2200 in 2004 and it still works just a little slow and outdated. I hope this lasts as long.

I did a lot of research before making this purchase. One thing that I learned is that not all HP Envy's are the same. Other stores may have a better price, but when you read the small print, you find that the lower price comes at a sacrifice of lower speed, less, memory, etc... The one from Best Buy was the best price for the top of the line features that I was seeking.

The computer is nice and fast. Taking some getting used to with Windows 10. Seems to be an issue with the computer always wanting to restart, updating all the time. Even after I set it for once a week. Starting to get annoying. appears to be a Windows 10 issue.

Great screen, speed and everything I was looking for in a new laptop. I was not looking for a laptop to carry around everyday so for me the size did not matter but if you want to carry it everywhere this might not be the laptop for you

Disappointed in this laptop. The video card was defective.However it was fast with exception of the errors of that card. I have another one that has lasted seven years my husband uses it for internet.

This computer is mainly a great computer, I have had other computers in the envy line but this one so far is my favorite. Was sad to see it did not have a blue ray combo like my old computer did but over all I am pleased with it. Performance works great though I had to get used to the keys. They are not quite as solid as I would have through so sometimes I hit a key but it does not register but that is sparingly. Te other thing i am surprised about is the click pad does no seem to sit flush which I had come to look at so I am not fully knocking it for that because I am sure there is good reason. Odd that there is no on off like my old pad had but easy enough to get around in the system.

I have owned this laptop for three months and so far I have enjoyed this product very much. The only complaint I have is the rare times the display driver stops working but it is only for a second. Despite that I would recommend this laptop. I have not had any trouble with Windows 10.

It's fast, nice looking, and has some cool features I didn't expect

For a loaded laptop, I have had some bad startup issues. The Battery did not charge out out of the box. Had to research online and was lucky to find a Youtube video that helped fix that problem. The Touch Pad was jumpy at startup and required updates to get it all well again. When connected via HDMI to an external ASUS MX279 monitor, the system sometimes drops the connection to the monitor speakers. HP support was not helpful in resolving the issue. The HDMI port stopped functioning within 45 days of use after applying software updates via the HP Assistant application. I will have to take my new laptop into the Geek Squad to fix the port (I was told by HP it will more than likely require replacement of one of the graphics cards since the HDMI Port is integrated) . I am not happy with my experience thus far. I am Glad I purchased the Geek Squad Plan!

I love the larger screen size. Perfect for what I need.

Enjoy the screen color, great sound and keyboard touch. The USB (and other) plugs are located in the ideal position... at the rear of both sides (out of the way). Bravo for a well-designed laptop!

So far is what I was expecting, machine is fast, run games smooth

It is a great computer and very fast. I wished it had a SSD in it.

I bought this laptop mainly for the screen size and the fact that it is also a touch screen. I've been very pleased with the speed of this computer. It doesn't take long to boot up and accessing the programs is quick and easy.
