Bought this to replace an aging hp pc and am very pleased with my purchase, it has the speed I need along with many extra bells and whistles. The sound is great, the light up keyboard could be a little brighter, however I touch type so I don't need to worry too much about that. The 3D camera is really cool and will be a great asset in my business. Haven't had any issues with the on board mouse like other reviewers have stated. Still getting used to it, but it suits my needs perfectly.

Great screen and has cd drive that most laptops don't.

If you are looking for a fast laptop with lots of features this is a good one. I have brought 2 in the last several week. With the 16 gig memory, touch screen, 3D camera, and the i7 its just a sweet machine.

Besides the hard drive crashing after less than a month and a half, this is a stellar laptop - large touch screen, fast processor, perfect for those who work with graphics, images or photo editing - I absolutely LOVED it! (Key word being LOVED (past tense) as I no longer own one) If you are planning to purchase one see if they make one with a SSD/solid state (as opposed to HDD/physical) hard drive - not sure if this will make a difference. I did learn something...your computer is only as good as your hard drive.

Got this for my wife in replacement of the HP split 2 ( do not ever get the split 2, horrible machine) This one is a great machine, for daily use. It's used for web surfing, streaming movies, and office documents. No heavy uses as photoshop or Video editing, though i believe it can handle light work in programs like that.

My laptop went out at home and since it was old (still had windows 7) I decided to get a new one. This laptop looks very cool, has great speakers and works really well. I have only had it about a month but it is easy navigate and was easy to set up.

I was looking for a new laptop so I would have access to a computer without having to go to my office upstairs. I wanted something that had a larger screen than most laptops without spending a lot of money. I found this one for under 1000 dollars. It has great graphics a good processor and it is also a touch screen. The sound quality from the speakers is amazing. HP really did a good job with this one. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a laptop with a larger screen. The people at Best Buy were also very helpful in assisting me with this selection.

Pros: 1080P IPS touch screen, 16GB Memory,Latest Mid-end core i-7,led lighted keyboard (great for night time surfing) Cons: No SSD, for the price should be included. Overall:Great video editing, & some gaming.

I bought this computer for use in my office. It works great on my desk, but would be pretty heavy to take when I travel. I am satisfied with the performance. I does seem a little slow to boot up initially, but if you put it to sleep or hibernate it, that's not an issue. I to, noticed some light bleeding in around the edges, but that was with a black screen, in a dark room. As a practical matter it does not detract from everyday use - never see it. Overall I'm satisfied.

Love this laptop - it is just as the description described it. The display screen of 17" is large enough and the memory of one terabyte is great. I would highly recommend the HP Envy to family and friends! Have always stuck with HP computers and printers. Best Buy has good prices and is easy to work with.

I almost rated this laptop as Excellent, however I think the Bang & Olufsen speakers are overrated. A laptop is never going to sound better than traditional add-on speakers, or a good set of headphones. So don't buy this laptop for its sound. DO buy this laptop for snappy performance and a beautiful, sharp and color rich screen. With over a month of daily use on this laptop, I am very satisfied.

This laptop is great. It has everything you can ask for. Great processor and video card. Only down side is its BIG. If you don't mind the size or need a big monitor then it's a great choice. I have it connected (rigged) with two monitors but it's working great.

Our problem with this computer is the software. We were not able to use it for a week before we had to return to the geek guys to have viruses removed. Microsoft needs to fix this or we will move to Apple.

Great laptop, powerful. However, the mouse is awkward. Hate Windows 10. Be nice if we could easily choose between OS without much effort, or time spent.

I have had this computer about a month and the computer itself is good. I do not like Windows 10. Nowhere as easy to use as Windows 7. The touchpad is not as responsive as my old HP. I hope to learn to like Windows 10. I'll review again in several months.
