Great Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent laptop and easy to set up. I love the screen size and dont find it too heavy - in fact its lighter than my old Dell XPS that died. So far everything about this laptop has exceeded my expectations and I cannot wait to find out what it can do with some video editing. the sound quality is outstanding

Loved it....until now
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a college student who wanted a great heavy duty wide screen laptop for school. I chose this, and purchased the laptop on Cyber Monday. The laptop was great for school, however the product is very heavy and I can not take it to class. I love it though because I have the finger print scanner, and backlit keyboard. After only 1 year, the hard drive failed and my computer screen is completely black. I never let the laptop over heat ( I treat this like my baby due to price, and I depend on it for school) It was just under warranty, so hp sent a box to my house and repaired it for free.

Nice Machine!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first time purchasing a HP product. I have used Dell, Toshiba and ASUS all of which were high end machines and ran quite well. But like all things they get old and out dated. So I bought this HP Envy 17.3 screen and I am very impressed with it. Runs fantastic, I do a lot of 3D rendering with AutoCAD and the HP handles it well. Simply put this HP Envy M7 is a solid Machine!

Great functionality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our old HP laptop started to go out so we needed to replace it. I didn't real want a touch screen laptop but surprisingly I've used it more than I thought I would of. I love the big screen, easy to work on things with a split screen that is 17"

Good laptop with a couple minor flaws
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop runs most of my games at highest settings, other, newer games at medium settings. Programs open fast. Boot up speed is like lightning. I would change the hard drive to a SSD but I don't know how and I my parents wouldn't trust me enough to try, and don't trust Geek Squad (for some reason, I really don't know why), but whatever, if you get it change to a SSD if possible. It's fast with it's normal hard drive but SSDs are always almost better. The trackpad on mine is horrid, pretty much a workout just to click, but who uses the trackpad anymore? Anyways, that might just be my computer. Sorry I don't have the "verified purchaser" or whatever that tag is called, I didn't buy it through the site.

Powerful laptop for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Envy m7-109dx is a great laptop that gives you alot of performance at its price point. The only downsides to it are that it's a bit heavy at 6.9 lbs. and the battrey life is a poor 3 hours. However, this laptop is mainly meant to be a desktop replacement. I'm a college student but I can look past these flaws as the performance to prce ratio makes it worth it.

Excellent for editing photos
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been on the search for a great laptop to take with me to venues to edit my concert photos. Saw this on the best buy site, read the reviews, looked up even top 10 laptops for photographers and this was one of them. I decided to purchase it and I've been pleased ever since. Just bought this in April. The memory, the touch screen, everything is just what I needed.

2nd HP Envy Laptop in 2 years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good computer, fast, love the color, more memory than the last one I had that I had to do a warranty exchange. I go online read all the reviews, and decide to buy this one, well here is it a week later, and *drum rolls* the c is stuck I have to slam my finger on the c to get it to press, and I keep getting display driver stop responding, but has successfully recovered like 8-10 a day wtf?? Will be taking it to store so they can look into it, or get me a new laptop...

Acceptable, nothing more
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Well built, study machine. Excellent screen, very good performance (although I had an SSD drive installed to replace the HD that was installed), Windows 10 is much easier to use than Windows 8.1. Salesman and Geek Squad were very knowledgeable and helpful. Cons: Flakey touchpad and keyboard, Video driver constantly crashes, only one USB 3.0 port, outdated video memory.

Great screen, good computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this computer April 2016. The screen 17.3" is terrific and really a desktop replacement for me. My main complaint with the computer buying experience is that I had to download so many system updates that for the first 10 days I thought I had bought a lemon. The store should really take care of this updating for the customer. so that you can have a better "out of the box" experience. Battery life is poor, sometimes only 3 hours, but I'm told with a 17.3' screen this is to be expected.. Still have one issue that I'm working through which I'll need geek squad help for. It could be a windows issue or a hardware issue, can't tell right now. Converting to windows 10 anniversary edition hasn't fixed it.. In summary, I think it's a good computer but the journey hasn't been smooth.

Old Real Hard Drive and New Intel Hello Camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went looking for a great machine that still had a real hard drive. When your tech suddenly dies and will no longer power on, a hard drive is easy to extract and spin to get the data off. SSDs are often tightly coupled or sealed into devices. Told the blue shirt I needed a big touch screen, full HD resolution, HDMI port for dual monitors, i7, more than 8 GB ram, full numeric keypad and a real Hard Drive. Amazed he could find this very machine. I have come to really like the Hello intel camera to log me in, but the reason it does not have the 5 stars is that the Hard Drive was set to 100% spin nearly continuously. I7 with loads of ram would sit and spin... Reset machine and shut off Cortana and other unnecessary items. Got a blue screen after an update. Stopped using the Edge browser except to open PDFs and it is now a great machine. The workaround might have been a bit much for a non pro. Only thing I will probably do is update to PRO from Home.

Decent computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this laptop, it fills all of my needs and then some. The touch screen just makes it that much better. The only thing I don't like is the weight. It is VERY heavy. It starts to hurt my legs after only a few minutes of sitting on my lap.

High Quality Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great laptop with DVD drive, touch screen, fast. Only problem I've had was the first 3 times I turned it on it malfunctioned, but found out my brand new computer needed 2 Windows 10 updates. Seems to be just fine now. I really like it.

Awesome Computer!!!

I found this HP computer and had all the things I was looking for in a computer. Great graphics, speed is excellent, great internet connection. Battery lasts longer than other laptops, and sound is great. Best computer I have found in a while. Would recommend this one to anyone!!!! Price is great for all you get with it...

Very nice Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice Laptop, which I purchased to replace a older Icore7 Desktop. Very quick, and very good picture and sound quality for a laptop. My only complaint is that it should have had SSD drive instead of green hard drive, which would have made my review 5 stars.

Great

Exceeded my expectations
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lap top has it all, from gaming to memory , it's fast and the 3d camera will definitely have you entertained for hours. If you are in the market for a new laptop, this one is a beast, and if you are a gamer ,you will be impressed on how this runs. The sound is great also, the 17.3 screen is very easy on the eyes as well.

Glitchy graphics.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this unit based upon features, reviews and overall rating. Had it only a week and a half before the display started acting up. Would display ghost images of my browser even tho the browser was closed and would also glitch just like you see in movies/on TV, among the usual video crash warnings and reports.. Had HP try and remotely fix it and they couldn't do anything. Sent it in per their instructions and still haven't gotten it back. Here's the time line: purchased 1/2/16, started acting up @1/10/16, HP chat support contacted 1/15/16 (I tried other things to fix it first), HP received unit 1/27/16 (took @10 days to get shipping items from HP, sent it right back the same or next day after I finally got them), estimated repair date was originally 2/8/16 but soon after was extended to 3/2016. Told replacement part (on a newer unit?) not in stock was reason for delay. Was offered an extension to my warranty at first then the option of another unit but HP would only give me what I paid for this one (got it on sale) and there was no way I could get the same features at that price. Was told they usually pro rate cost and I was lucky to get the full price. Bottom line: unit may be good (never had it long enough to tell) but beware hardware issues and dealing with an support system that is less than ideal and not geared towards satisfying their customers.

Great computer if it didnt have issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the computer with all the features, but unfortunately the graphics card has issues. The first computer, would send a bunch of graphics error messages just on casual internet browsing . Watching movies I would have to get up and rewind to catch the lag up with the audio. I took it back and got a new one, this one doesn't lag, but freezes with graphics card errors.
