This is a lot of computer for the money. I bought several HPs before for business and they never disappointed. My only gripe is the Intel Graphics Reader, which isn't working flawlessly 'In Private' mode.

I love my new laptop... My old laptop only has 6GB of memory and this one has 16GB memory and is super fast.....

So several reviews mention the mouse pad. VERY TEMPERAENTAL! Tried to play scrabble and almost demands that you use the touch screen or the tiles end up "stuck" in the air. Also Windows 10 yes.. "Hated it!" Takes too many liberties updating and discovering other devices without permission or prompting. I want to take it back and I still might. (Only had it 5 days). Also received some kind of security breach I guess. Screen went crazy and was flashing the message "unwanted antivirus software". I don't know what that was. I'm just afraid something else might happen.

OK. I have had this laptop for 1 week so far. As others have said, there are a few minor issues on start up with this laptop. Please do your research and simply update the drivers immediately upon starting your new laptop. Once you have done this, you should be good to go. If updating drivers and software is to much for you with the purchase of a new computer, maybe you need to stick with a laptop that has less features and is more "Plug and play". This is a very nice laptop with amazing features for the price. I look forward to trying to test the limits of this PC. I am no Gamer, but I do manage to use my computers for picture and video editing. I will come back after a while and do an update.

This is my first Laptop and I must admit I'm impressed so for all of the negative reviews here's a positive one. I love this Laptop and I hope I have some good years with my new toy...;-)

I usually buy a cheap computer for school and spend about 300 and $400. Now that I'm going for my masters I decided to get a better quality computer, one that can keep up with the needs of the online program. This computer seems to do that, and it's easy to use. The speed is fantastic. I'm sure some Fanatics will say that this computer is substandard but for me using it for everyday work and school I couldn't ask for anything better.

Awesome computer! Love the touchscreen, backlit keyboard and the numeric keypad. The screen is perfect size & the computer doesn't weigh like a solid brick. This one we purchased for the business and now need another laptop. We're thinking of purchasing this same exact computer cause we haven't had a single issue yet! *knock on wood*.

I really like it because it feel like so professional and strong! I love it!

For high school kids and movie downloaders, this laptop is great for all purposes. It's considered a gaming laptop, so it has great picture quality too. I wanted a PC initially so that the whole family could share and have it stay in 1 place, but with the amount of storage and memory, I went for it...I guess that's why I don't mind how heavy it is.

The first one I bought had two problems: 1) When a disk was inside, the DVD/CD tray would not open without a little pull on the bottom 2) The speakers emitted a buzz/rattle/clipping sound for certain types of music: the higher female voices, the upper registers of a piano, big band swing or jazz. Took this one back and got another. This next one appeared to have a very loose power connecter. So I took it back and got a third one. The third one had the same speaker problem. But even worst then the first. Also it had the loose power connecter. Since it appears the power connecter in general does not fit very snug, I went back the Best Buy and got back the second one since it didn't have any other problems. My message is: When you get it home, try out everything, especially the sound. If there is any problem, take it back and keep doing that until you get a good one. Once I got a good one, I'm satisfied with everything.

Bought for my daughter for school. So far so good. Seems to be decent value.

The laptop is great, good performance and like the illuminated keyboard feature. Only negative is that HP telephone support is awful. U.S. closes at 8pm PDT and thereafter tech support is frustrating/not helpful.

The price is right for the included features, but we're very disappointed in HP's QA measures. This unit should never have made it out of the factory. Right out of the box, the display suffers from such serious backlight bleeding in both lower corners of the display that it's plain for anyone to see. Screen resolution may be Full HD, but HD videos are not as sharp or as bright as HD videos at the same resolution on my 3 year-old 15.4" MacBook Pro Retina Display. Backlit keyboard is either off or on, and on is far too bright. This purchase represents a perfect example of why one shouldn't make a purchase of this type from an exclusively online seller. At least, with Best Buy we have a big box store where we can return it. Returning to Best Buy for a Dell.

I was in need of a new laptop, and read the reviews on this one. Got it at a discount, and am loving it. I didn't need the touch screen, but I am liking it so far. Very happy with my purchase!

I purchased 2 of these laptops so my children can have them for school projects, surfing web and sending emails. Very reliable, super fast...excellent purchase...I am pleased with the quality and performance.

Two days into ownership, the "display driver error" message started popping up. Spent most of the two days of ownership watching HP Tech Support take control and try to fix the issue. Every tech person said it was resolved but it's not because it keeps happening. It is running slower now actually, after tech support did all their steps to try to resolve the problem. It is a shame that this problem can't be resolved as it is a well-known problem. I thought by increasing my budget, I would get one that doesn't have that issue, but nope, the amount you spend on them makes zero difference. I'm sticking with my windows 7 desktop until if and when these issues are resolved. It is disappointing to spend $900 and get a headache in return. :(

Beware this model has a problem with the graphics card and will Cause"The Black Screen of Death" I would research the "The Black Screen of Death" before buying this computer. Besides that windows 10 is a terrible product. I have been with windows for over 20 years and this is not what windows should be. Beware of window 10 updates they change all of your file types with every update. I would have never thought I would return a computer and buy a MAC but I have no choice, even with a so called 16 gig of ram this computer does not run as it has that installed. Very glitchy computer and very slow for having 16 gigs of ram. Sad day Microsoft! ******* Find another model this is not a good one.*************

Big screen, good sound and fast. I use this unit at home and when I'm on the road for work. Unit is a real work horse. Just wish it had a solid state hard drive.

Man, this is big and heavy. No hinge problem yet like 3 other smaller units.

I've had it about a month so far and no complaints. love the large screen!
