Print quality is superb for a low cost printer. Its still working. No mechanical or electronic issues. Moreover, the instant ink plan saves on printing cost. The cartridges have a long life in terms of durability while protecting the printhead.

Good printer, however the ink goes fast, maybe its because of the high quality when you print pictures, overall it is a good product.

Requires subscription to print. A good & bad thing

This printer was purchased as part of the Black Friday promotion for 30 bucks. Included with that is the printer/scanner combo, 2 ink cartridges (one color, one black and white) and 15 bucks in printer credits. The printer itself is pretty big.. but not abnormally big. It's heavy, bulky and takes up a good amount of space but it looks nice. It has a touchscreen but most people will never need to use that (hopefully) Setup is done through a computer or phone through the apps (no cd is included and no USB cable is included - you need to set it up wirelessly unless you buy a USB cable) This is fine for me, as I wanted it wireless. Printing is fine. It's slow, but if that's not an issue (for me it was more about the price), you'll be fine. Scanning is "OK" - not a great scanner by any means, but it works. For the price, I would have given it 5 stars if it ended there. But then they turned PRINTING into a monthly subscription. Upon setup, you need to enter a credit card and sign up for their monthly subscription program. This is where I had an issue. The printer is constantly connecting to the internet to check if your subscription is valid. If you reach your monthly limit (15 pages, 50 pages, or a couple hundred pages depending how much you pay per month) The nice thing is that they send you free ink cartridges.. but only when you need them. On signup, you're required to enter a credit card and select a paid plan (starting at 3 bucks a month to print 50 pages). There is supposedly a free plan (15 pages per month) but there seems to be no way to select it other than maybe signing up over the phone. I was not able to get it. Once you print your allotted pages, ie: 15 per month, you're charged for printing additional pages (or just unable to print). This doesn't matter if you print full-page color photos or you print a small black text file or even a test page. Need to print a return label to send a product back? thats 2 pages right there. Printing a copy of your resume, a shipping label, an email or anything else.. that all goes towards your quota. If you cancel the subscription, like 6 months down the road, your printer becomes totally useless and will not print. The only benefit here is if you're printing photos. You can print 50 sheets of full-color photos for the 3-dollar plan, and they'll keep sending you new ink as you run out (takes about 10 days).

As the title says you cant beat the price and setup was a breeze. I have only been using the printer for a few hours tonight but I have had no issues. If you are looking for a decent printer at a good price don't pass this one up.

Not bad as an entry level all in one , eats up ink, and if you dont use it often the cartridges will go bad in it you have to change, however its very good for the price prints well and scanner is good

As everyone said the setup was a breeze, quality of the prints I are very good. What is concerning is the ink usage, after 3 5-7 photos ink is at 30%. Just replaced my old HP 3830 printing the similar photos with much less ink consumption. Good printer but if your planing to print photos any savings will be sucked up on ink purchases.

The biggest problem is having to use WIFI to connect with it. That's find when I am at home but on the road WIFI isn't always available. I haven't tried but maybe Bluetooth can be used.

    Disappointed big Time

I went to Black Friday sales and for $30, I thought why not. I did speak to an associate that did recommend to me, for my line of work, real estate, to go with the one step higher model that can print more pages, for $85. They didn't mention the qualify, just recommended it. I am not holding anything against the Best Buy employees, I'm only holding accountable the HP Manufacturer and this printers qualify. Talk about elementary prints. The print in color comes out wet, paper wrinkled as if you dropped water from a cup on it, and it is very transparent on the paper. The first print of color took a solid 4-5 minutes to print. Yes it did have a heavy black coating. There is not way I can present this to any person looking for a good flyer, paper with data graphs or any heavy color prints. I also don't see how anyone would like the prints to keep for a report with this kind of qualify. I don't recommend this unless you are absolutely going to print essays, poems or dialogues of only sentenced words. Do not purchase if you are looking to print color, big photos, any photos back round, any designs of graphs nor for any school work. It wont do the job. I am going to return it and pick up the other one that is a model higher at $85.

I have always had awful luck with HP Products. So I may be bias but this printer was awful. I barely used it but it never worked when I needed it. It wouldn’t respond when I tried to print which ended up being a issue with it not responding to the WiFi. Once I got it fixed it started printing out lines. I bought new cartridges, aligned it etc. I did everything for this printer. Bought it at full price and didn’t use it much yet it did that. Only two days after the warranty so I wasted money. Threw it right in the trash. I now have a $30 Canon printer I love. I’ve always had issues with HP laptops as well. Just proceed with caution if you buy one of these.
