I read the reviews for this printer, and most of them were good, but one review about the Instant Ink membership almost prevented me from buying the printer. I did not like the idea of being forced to get a membership to use the printer, even though it was only a few dollars a month. Turns out, the membership is optional. The printer does work without the membership. For $30 dollars, this is a great buy. The printer is not that slow, and is not very loud. One review said it was big and bulky, it fit on my work space great, It has a sleek design.

Now I think I got to go buy a new one.

The cost for this printer was amazingly low. The offer to sign up for the ink was very helpful. Printing pictures uses the ink up quickly.

I purchased it as a replacement for a Kodak all in one printer. It’s smaller, light weight and the photos are gorgeous.

Just look at it!!! Thank god I was still able Geek Squad Protection, when I found out about this I quickly purchased the insurance!!! Make sure you get the insurance for whatever electronic and appliance you purchase online!!!

- A:Answer You don't have to enroll in the automatic ink plan to use the printer. You can just purchase ink cartridges seperately. However, the cartridges that come with the printer (starter cartridges) don't seem to last long, so I would recommend buying a set of cartridges when you purchase the printer.

- A:Answer I believe this printer is NOT eligible for the free Instant-Ink plan (15 pages per month). I called HP to check myself, and they said that HP printers with a list price of less than $100 are eligible, and this printer has a list price of $119.
