First of all, HP got the good design, edge to edge screen, great speaker on the top, solid mental body. I like it very much. This laptop runs very quietly and barely can hear the fun. However,the fun will run constantly, that's HP's old problem. Overall, with this price and student discount, this is best Choice for college students.

I purchased this computer for my daughter who is in college. She had a Macbook and wanted something lighter. The new Macbooks were lighter but much more expensive. She was a little skeptical about going to a PC based computer after having an Apple brand for so long but is adjusting well and is finding new things to love about her laptop daily. This was a good choice. We're very satisfied.

I could not do my graduate school homework on my previous laptop because it was 7 or 8 years old! It still works fine for surfing the internet and paying bills, but not for statistics! I love my new laptop! It' has more features than I know how to use, but look forward to becoming a little more tech savvy. I love that I can turn it over and use it like a notebook, write on it with a smart pen, touch the screen to do whatever I want like my iphone. It's been great! Only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because it's a little big to cart around (but not too bad) and has more features than I really needed, but I had to buy at this level for it to do certain things.
