Flawless!! I play Diablo & WOW. This machine runs the games with graphics all the way up flawless. Has a power supply that will support upgrades such as Processer & Graphics card if wanting to upgrade later. Also can upgrade to more ram as well. So worth the money. A must buy!! Also the way it has color changing lights is so much fun. lol

Played games on this computer on maxed settings and runs smoothly, and it is so quiet! You hear it thinking but it’s like it’s not even on it’s so quiet. I love that! This is deffinantly a great computer for gaming or just for whatever it can handle it.

The HP Omen 870-224 desktop celebrates my return to the world of PC gaming. For many years, I've stuck to consoles and used my Mac desktop for other pursuits. I got a taste for Windows 10 using my work laptop and really liked the capabilities, so when I was looking for a powerhouse desktop, I looked at the HP Omen 870-224 model. For starters, this thing is a beast when it comes to specs at the price point it's at. For $800 you get the following specs: * Intel Core i5 3 GHz Kaby Lake Quad Core * 8GB DDR4 RAM * 1TB 7200 RPM hard drive * 3GB GeForce GTX 1060 The motherboard and case also come with a variety of ports to connect all your devices. The case itself is an attractive brushed aluminum and the built-in HP Omen app lets you customize the lighting on the front of the case. Right now, I've got it set based on CPU temp to keep an eye on how it responds to gaming and video encoding. That brings me to the other reason why I wanted a powerful desktop. I also create videos for communication, training and web delivery for my work and need something a bit stronger than the basic laptop they gave me. I've used Premier Pro CC and Handbrake on this thing and it encodes movies at least 2-3x faster. As you can see from the screenshot, the first game I put on here to test it out was Doom 4. I got Doom 4 when it came out on the PS4 and it always made my PS4 sound like it was about to lift off from all the fan noise. I started playing Doom 4 on this - and even maxed out the video specs to "High" or "Ultimate" and all the while, this thing stayed super quiet and the light on the front stayed a solid green, which meant the air flow cooling was keeping the system working fine. No stuttering or lag to worry about here! I've also kinked it up to my Microsoft account to get the developer previews to test those out - even running a beta version of Windows, this thing still hums along rock-solid. My only real gripe with the desktop was actually the keyboard and mouse it came with. This machine is touted as a gaming PC, yet HP chose to package it with a basic USB mouse and keyboard. So if you're really serious about gaming, get yourself a good keyboard with backlights and a better mouse. If you want convenience over functionality, then go with any of the MS wireless keyboard and mouse combos. The basic set this desktop comes with is the same as you'd see at an entry level price point. All-in-all, this desktop is a solid performer that gives my iMac a run for it's money in terms of form, function and experience. If you're a solid Windows fan that wants to game and be able to do other more intensive projects, this is the desktop for you!

I've mostly been a console gamer for the past several years and this was my first chance to try out a higher end desktop PC that is designed with gaming in mind. I was pleasantly surprised with its performance. This system is good for the PC gamer that doesn't like to build their own towers. The cost is reasonable considering the specs, as you can run any game out there and not have issues with frame rate. I won't get into the specs, as you can see them in the item description. I loved the adjustable lighting feature on the tower. I set the lighting to mirror the temperature of the CPU so I could tell if the system was running too hot. This helped me ensure I had decent ventilation around the tower and wasn't overworking the processor. The lights never went red, even when running some of the more graphic intensive games out there. This unit comes with a basic optical mouse and keyboard. I was not a fan of the keyboard. While it was sleek and stylish, the keys are far too short and small (like a Mac keyboard) and I would make many typos with it. Fortunately, most PC users have a USB keyboard that we like already so this was not an issue for me. If you need a gaming PC and don't know how or don't care to Frankenstein your own together, I highly recommend the HP Omen. HP does a great job of combining enough RAM, processing power, and graphical power at a price that is easy on the wallet.

This gaming desktop from HP (Omen 870-224) is awesome all over. Lets talk aesthetics first: -The case is elegant, with very nice ambient lights, and above all, its not your average bulky gaming case, but it gives you all the options of expansions you expect from a high end expandable gaming case. -It is also super silent although it has giant fans. Expansion and ports available: -The mother board is the Odense 2-K with the H170 chipset which is UATX form factor. -It has 2 DDR4 slots for Ram, this desktop comes with one slot used by an 8 GB DDR4 Ram, so you can add more. -The CPU is the latest Core I5-7400, also expandable to the newest I7 -It has a 1 TB SATA HDD with 7200RPM installed (you can add more as you wish. (I will be swapping the hard drive with 2 SSD drives with 480 GB capacity each) - The board is also packed with a very advanced BT/ Wireless/ Gigabit network card. - The case has 7 USB ports, 4 of them are USB3 - 3 HDMI ports- 2 on the MB and 1 on the VGA card (this one comes with a true 4K resolution output) - 7 in 1 memory card reader - The display card is the mighty NVIDIA GeForce GTX1060 (3GB DDR5) that comes with a dual link DVI port and 3 display ports & 1 4K HDMI output port. - Your everyday DVD writer (vertical position) Performance: This is where things gets AMAZING! I hooked the case to my 65 inch 4K TV via HDMI cable plugged into the VGA card, using a wireless keyboard and touchpad from Logitech to turn this gaming pc into a Gaming/ Media center at home. The most noticeable thing beside the amazing performance of this piece of beauty is how silent it is. The case is well built and ventilation is very well designed. The case has a huge 500 WATT power supply, and a fan mounted on the back of the case, in addition to the fan and heat sink installed on the VGA card itself. With all that, when playing really demanding games with all display features turned on to the max, this PC remained silent. I have been using the PC for a couple of days now and It is easily offering a matching performance to my PS4 and beating my PS3 with ZERO lag or any other issues. The 4K experience is also mind blowing when using the PC instead of my smart Tv’s own engine. I have not yet tested the GTX 1060 3D video performance, but I am sure it will be great. This PC is customizable, and can last at least another 3 years of gaming as is, and when needed you can upgrade the VGA, CPU, Ram, and HDD. This will give you another 3 years of high performance at least. I am very happy with this PC and I totally recommend it to anyone who is into gaming and have a relatively small space for a case. The Omen comes with a wired keyboard and mouse.

This is a good gaming computer. Games Played: PUBG: Max settings Assasin's Creed Origins: Ultra Settings Farcry 5: Ultra Settings Fortnite: Ultra Settings VRChat: High Settings Dreams of Dali (VR game): High Settings I'm a bit older so HD is HD. I used to game on a crappy computer around the COD 2 days in the 2000's. I converted to console throughout high school and college.. and noticed one thing,Things have drastically changed. First, The games look amazing. I got this because I really wanted to play and stream PUBG. PUBG is a very demanding game for computers. Bugs constantly plague players, I've heard that there are optimization issues with GTX 1080i. I have played on a system using GTX 1080 and felt the bugs. but with This HP Omen and the GTX 1060, the game runs on highest settings with absolutely no issues. I did experience frame drops while recording on OBS which caused me to scale down graphics to Medium settings. again, still looks great, still able to stream at higher resolutions. I have also used this computer to create a small VR video game on Unreal Engine. Unreal Engine would not work on my Apple computer but it worked great on this PC.. and even better after upgrading RAM. I did add minor upgrades to the build with stuff i got off Amazon. As stated in other comments, this is a good starting point for upgrades. I upgraded with a D.M.S. 8GB RAM and attached an internal Kingston SSD. All very cheap components/easy DIY projects. I noticed a huge difference with the upgrade in RAM. Its now at 16GB RAM, and 480 SSD and 1TB HDD. It runs very smooth. and the case provides plenty of room for extra HDD and installation was really simple, mostly just watched youtube videos. there was one empty SATA imput that i saw. and one extra slot for a 4GB or 8GB RAM. Dual Monitors: I am fortunate enough to have an extra DVI cable from my 2011 Apple computer. I was able to connect Dual monitors with one HDMI and one Dual-link DVI cable. If the Video card is plugged in, the multiple HDMI ports on the motherboard will not work. There might be a way around this, but i haven't looked to deeply into it. I think its in the NVIDIA Control Panel. This might be a deal breaker for many VR/dual monitor people. USB Ports: I am able to connect my USB Yeti Mic, M.S. HD webcam, PS4 controller. Keaboard and Mouse: They function as an essential tool to start with, but I recommend ditching them and getting something custom. Overall, this has been a good buy. I've always dreamed of playing on PC and this computer really opened up many possibilities without breaking the bank. A great transition from Console to PC. I can finally play with my PC friends and have made some new ones along the way. this is a good buy because most of the upgrade costs were on the cheaper side. looking forward, i may upgrade to the i7 processor (as stated on the HP website) just for the experience, but no rush. I'm pretty satisfied with everything. I mostly went with this model because it came with an Intel Processor and GTX 1060 3GB. After doing tons of research, i found Its Very hard to find both at a lower price range. This PC provides both Intel/GTX 1060 at the cost of low RAM/Memory (which I upgraded). This computer is Over-kill for casual use and should be used for gaming or even editing.

Coming from someone without much of a technical background, it's easy to say that if you're in the market for a new gaming rig (that you can use for work or school too), and this is around your price point, this is a no hesitation buy. The graphics card is great enough to play most games, the Core i5-7400 7th gen processor is more than sufficient, and with Windows 10 already installed, I can see this being a perfect high school graduation gift right before college.

This computer is super fast and meets all my needs. It is known to be a gamers computer but I used it for mixing sound tracks via Pro Tools. I need a lot of RAM and disk space and I have had absolutely no problems with it slowing down. Lastly, it is very quite which is nice.

I love my new HP Envy. It's superfast, the graphics, the sound are excellent. Although I researched and reviewed before I made the purchase, a BB staff member gave me even better advice. He asked pertinent questions and gave honest answers. For my needs and wallet, I'm satisfied. I'm a multi-tasker and a gamer. I upgraded to 16 gigs, so the Omen really flies. Installing the additional memory took less than 15 minutes. I like to open 5+ programs to test the Omen. Wow! It's superfast with no lags, delays or glitches in the matrix. Gaming has taken on a new level. Another solid BB purchase.

The Intel Core i5-7400 processor quad core processor provides excellent gaming speeds, up to 3.0 Ghz. It also features 7 USB ports to support all of your gaming peripherals. Paired with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card with 3 GB of GDDR5 RAM, you're looking at an impressive gaming rig.

Good system, but has only 1 HDMI port active. So, if you plan to use it for VR / Mixed reality, connect monitor / display with the help of display port and use HDMI port to connect your VR headset. But remember, there is absolutely no upgrade option apart from provision to add RAM and HDD. Only one PCIe 1X port available and no PCIe SSD can be added to motherboard. Also note the BIOS setup is very simple does not give you many option to play around. So for simple users, its a very good machine, but for advanced user wanting to modify anything, it does not give much options.

I purchased this gaming PC, not for gaming, but for better performance with my design projects. This is a very built computer and was at a very good price. Very easy to setup and get off and working. This PC also runs my streaming media. It has great expandable RAM capabilities, a very good NVADIA GTX 1070 grapics card and hard drive space, even if I put my documents on an exteral hard drive. HP did a great job here and haven't regretting the purchase once. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Until this computer I’d been wringing every last bit of performance out of my previous computer. This isn’t the most insane turn key rig you can get by any stretch but for me it was a really welcome upgrade for not a lot of $$. The GTX 1060 isn’t going to be impressing any of your rig building friends but it’s plenty for most games to run reliably and still look really good. Obviously, you could build a better rig and honestly you could get more performance, storage, features and more if you built your own but, realistically, I don’t have time to do that so this setup is perfect. Plus, I can upgrade as I feel like it for several more years to come. On top of all of that, HP (in my opinion) is doing a fantastic job with their customer service lately. Their quality seems to be at the best it’s ever been. My other simple Pavilion desktop has been flawless so far with light work and some light gaming as well. Any time I’ve had an issue, HP has been able to help me resolve my issues quickly. Great rig, great price for the convenience, and great company with awesome customer support. Hard to beat that.

I just had to recycle a CyberPowerPC because it broke down on me. Saw this one in the store. It's fast, has more than enough video card power to play my games at high/max settings. (Could use another 8GB of RAM) Runs whisper quiet too. At 800 bucks not a bad price if your looking for a pre built machine.

The new computer has performed flawlessly. While I'm not a gamer, I do need a specialized graphics card and GPU for photo editing. The performance of Lightroom and Photoshop has improved noticeably. If you do photo/video editing, this the computer you want. With a 1 TB hard drive, you have plenty of space to store your photos and videos.

I love the specs this Omen comes with. I play alot of Battlefield 1, PUBG, and Overwatch and can easily play them all at High - Ultra settings. The 16 gb of RAM gives you enough memory to play anything you can throw at it. I have mine hooked up to my 65” 4K HDR Samsung TV and it is awesome to be able to just game while I’m sitting back on the couch in comfort. This is my first gaming computer I’ve ever owned and the only thing I wish it would do better is the downloading speed. It doesn’t have an SSD, only an HHD which makes downloading and starting up games take forever, but that is something that can easily be added so no deal breaker in my opinion. If you’re too scared to build your own gaming computer like I was, then this one will get you where you need to be. Just plan on buying an upgraded keyboard and mouse right away because the ones that come with this computer are an absolute joke for gaming.
