I’ve been using the HP Omnibook 5 for a little while now, and here’s my honest review. First off, for the price, I think it’s a solid device. It’s lightweight, which I really appreciate because I move around a lot, and I don’t want to carry something bulky. The design is simple, clean, and feels pretty modern. It doesn’t look cheap even though it’s not super high-end either. Performance-wise, it does the job for everyday tasks. I use it mostly for things like emails, documents, browsing, maybe a little streaming, and it handles all of that just fine. Battery life is actually better than I expected. I’ve gone several hours without needing to charge it, which is super helpful when I’m out or don’t want to be tied to a wall plug. Overall, I’d say the HP Omnibook 5 is a good choice if you’re on a budget and need something reliable for basic work, school, or personal use.

The laptops quality is excellent and extremely good. It functions extremely well and provides a lot of space for downloading. I love that the laptop folds creating a tablet feel. It is fast, it provides a beautiful display and it is touchscreen.

I have purchased several laptop computers from Best Buy over the last 20+ years. In December, 2025 I went into the Best Buy Store in South St. Louis County where I have purchase all my previous computers. The customer representative for Best Buy was very patient with me. He listen to my needs and uses for a laptop. The representative realize that I did not need a more expensive computer I was considering purchasing. He directed me to select the HP - OmniBook 5 Flip 2-in1 14" 2K Touch-Screen Laptop, etc. which was priced about $300 + less than the computer I was considering. He said the more expensive computer was more than I needed. The representative said he was there to help customers select what they needed not sell the most expensive computer. My new HP - OmniBook 5... has exceeded all my expectations and more. I personally recommend anyone looking for a new laptop for basic business needs consider purchasing the HP- OmniBook 5 Flip 2-in-1. The personal objective assistance with Best Buy is why I have purchased many computers from them. There customer service is fantastic. Also, be sure to sign up for the Geek Squad services. I did. It save my marriage.

The flip design is versatile for work and media use, and overall build quality feels premium. Battery life and speakers are average, but it’s a great choice for daily productivity and light development work.

love the size - easy to handle - fast speed and storage

The small laptop works very well for my needs. It is small enough to fit into a backpack and has all of the features that I need. The 2 in 1 flip feature is great for playing games when keypad is not needed. It comes with the latest technology which is nice to try out as well.

HP - OmniBook 5 Flip 2-in-1 14" 2K Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core 7 is a pretty good laptop. It doesn’t take too long to stat up and it has a good processing speed. The battery power holds well for many hours. So far I am very satisfied with this laptop.

I’ve been using the OmniBook 5 Flip 2-in-1 14” 2K Touch-Screen Laptop (Core 7 150U, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD) for a little while now and honestly it has exceeded my expectations, especially for everyday work and school use. The first thing I noticed was the screen. The 14” 2K touchscreen is sharp, bright, and very responsive. Colors look great whether I’m watching videos, working in spreadsheets, or reading documents for long periods. The 2-in-1 hinge is solid and doesn’t feel flimsy — flipping it into tablet or tent mode is smooth and actually useful. I use tablet mode more than I expected, especially for note-taking and reviewing PDFs. Performance has been excellent. The Intel Core 7 150U paired with 16GB of RAM handles multitasking easily. I typically run multiple browser tabs, Microsoft Office apps, email, and video meetings at the same time and it never feels sluggish. Boot time is very fast thanks to the 512GB SSD, and apps open almost instantly. The keyboard is comfortable with good key travel, and the trackpad is precise. It’s also very portable — thin, lightweight, and easy to carry around without feeling delicate. Battery life has been a big plus; I can get through most of a full workday without needing to plug in, which is huge for travel or working away from a desk. I also appreciate how quiet it runs. The fans rarely spin up during normal use, and it stays cool even during longer sessions. The Glacier Silver finish looks clean and professional without attracting fingerprints. Overall, this is a well-balanced laptop: fast, portable, versatile, and reliable. It’s a great choice for students, professionals, or anyone who wants one device that can function as both a laptop and a tablet without paying premium ultrabook prices. I’d definitely recommend it.

My old laptop went on a blink so I got the latest version of the same model. Faster, more features and lighter. It's a smaller screen, but it makes it more compact for my business.

Battery life is very good and computer works as expected. Perfect for student and professional alike.

Overall I'm happy with my purchase. The pc seems to be working well, and was easy to set up. I like the smaller size which does not take up much room on my desk. I do use a secondary monitor for larger screen. The only negative is the limited number of USB ports; I had to use an extension device.

fast smooth process good battery life easy to operate

This laptop is a good all-around device for middle school students. It’s fast enough for schoolwork, easy to use, and the 2-in-1 touchscreen makes it versatile for both typing and drawing/notetaking. Battery life is average and typically runs out within an hour or so of use.

The computer works really well and is fast. I mainly use this for work and can get things done a lot faster than my old computer. I would highly recommend this laptop.

Switched to the HP Omnibook 5 from a Surface and really like the HP so far. Faster processor, sharper screen, more RAM, and Tablet mode works great.

Overall satisfied with this laptop. The battery is fantastic, and speakers are decent for a budget laptop. I am using it as mostly a .pdf and multi-tab web browser. Occasionally I will hook it up to my TV for a website based viewing experience. Which is why i give this a 4 star, if it hasn't had the hdmi engaged in a while, nothing short of physically removing it from the laptop and reinserting it will get it to send signal again.
