Absolutely ASTOUNDING laptop! The previous 'gamer-friendly' HP unit I purchased was NOT IN THE LEAST what I needed. Thank goodness for Shi-Loh, the non-commissioned salesperson who advised me on this OmniBook X gem. Totally a winner.

I am pleased with the clarity of colors on the screen. I am still adjusting to the updated things this computer can do but each day I'm on it, I'm learning more. It turns on and goes into each area I click on much quicker than my old computer.

I bought this Omnibook X model to replace an older 27" All-in-One desktop I had for years, until my MS Windows 10 expired and I needed to upgrade. This is just to right size for me between the comfort of a desktop and the mobility of a laptop - the screen has excellent clarity, the KB has great touch & has a full number pad, and I am still discovering all the features like Copilot. Accessing my files from our newest HP27 All-in-One was a breeze with the new MS OneLaunch.

Very nice. Had to buy a replacement for my 12-yr old HP Pavilion [R-I-P]. Was attracted by the clock speed [4.8 gHtz--faster than my work desktop!], the LARGE 17.3" screen, the "NUM" pad [must have in my work], adequate RAM and the 1TB SSD--for the price, thought it was a great package. Also, seem to recall that the graphics specs for this model with 16GB RAM were better than the graphics specs for comp models with higher in stalled RAM [e.g., 32 GB]--curious, but impressed with the "view" even though I'm no "gamer". Don't have much use for the "touch screen" nor the Copilot [AI]--was interested in the Copilot because was advertised to increase run-time up to 25 hours--but that's not my experience--at most, I get the standard 7.5-8.0 hrs I got with my old Pavilion. Also, very much dislike the extremely small font on tabs and "context menus"--can't be changed [as "confirmed" by AI], but w/i minutes, found some free programs on-line that provide that capability--that works smooth--no problems noted. Also, with the keyboard, there's a delay when you hold down a key before it repeats, but then it flies--none of my old computers ever had that delay. Similarly, it takes 3 clicks to edit a URL in the address bar--on all old computers, that could be done with a single click. Those last 3 issues are probably "Windows" issues though, but who knows.... Finally, I recall ads say [paraphrasing] this computer was built to meet military performance standards--that was an attractive point [don't recall seeing that for any other laptop], but I haven't had this one to the "front lines" yet. To reiterate, a great package for the price.

The OmniBook appears to have enough by way of MegaHertz & speed to sufficiently interface with my Comcast modem/router so as to make possible the internet speed I was promised, whereas my last 2 computers did not have that capability (at least not RE: movie streaming sites). The OmniBook is very sleek & has the largest screen of any computer I have had. This is important as it has enabled me to curate my photos in a way where, the larger the screen, the better I can vet them for low or high resolution. It is also very user-friendly to set up & provides you with a more seamless experience with regard to all the different directions you can go with it set up wise & thereafter.

OmniBook X 17.3 - Its lightning fast compared to my 13 year old computer. Adjusting to windows 11 from windows 10. Like that after a shutdown when the lid is opened it automatically turns on. So far so good. I have had it about 2 weeks.

Sleek and Responsive, But Battery Could Be Better

I’ve only had my HP OmniBook X CoPilot+ PC 17.3” for a couple of weeks, and so far, I really love it. The design is sleek, the touch screen is clear and responsive, and it feels like a well-built machine. I haven’t done any heavy work on it yet — just basic web browsing — so I haven’t opened any programs, played games, or downloaded any pictures.
The only thing I’ve noticed so far is that the battery seems to drain faster than I expected, even with light use. It’s not a deal-breaker, but something I’ll be keeping an eye on as I use it more.
Overall, very happy with the purchase at this point — looking forward to exploring more of what it can do.

While saying goodbye to our old computer and large tower, it is a much cleaner way to go with less wires and worries with a simple lap top.
Adding a wireless keyboard and mouse helps with mobility with the flatter keyboard in a lap top, but everyone has their own preferences. So far we are pleased with the fit, the clean look and usage.

I replaced a 17" HP Envy I adored for eight years. This 17" model is smaller, lighter, more powerful, faster, with a better screen and packed with more features. Windows Defender is more robust. The price on sale was less than my old laptop. A very worthy replacement. The only negative is the keyboard is more cramped. I will accommodate to this. Very pleased with this purchase.

Justed Purchased it. But I like everything about it. theres nothing I'd say bad about the product. Now, the first day I was there is when it was on sale. But, The salesman was't treating nice to I left. Came back the next day and a very nice woman helped me out. And even though the computer cost twice as much and the day before, I still purchased it. and from that day on, I shall never regret going to BestBuy because I had such a nice saleswoman helping me out.

The HP OmniBook laptop AI is not only offers a bright, clear and vibrant screen. It's a good value too. Recently purchased our HP OmniBook laptop from our local Best Buy store. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Cannot say enough good things about the Geek Squad staff who transferred files from our old laptop, they also helped me through using and navigating our new laptop. Assisted me with connection issues with our printer via remote service. They all deserve a 5 star rating.

Bought this to replace a really basic ASUS laptop and you can definitely tell the difference, but there is something about these Windows 11 laptops where the cursor skips around, backtracking in documents and you wind up constantly deleting sentences and having to retype them...what a waste of time! The screen is really large and crisp; great color. The touchscreen does not fully function with all programs so that's a little disappointing but I do think the speakers on this unit offer impressive sound. Overall I think this is a great choice for a laptop under $1,000 but I'd get rid of the MS Co-Pilot. Totally unnecessary for those of us that still use our brains!
