The computer adequately serves as a gaming pc. We were able to increase display and rendering settings without having performance difficulties during play. Very nice quality for the price..
I would recommend this to a friend

Just got this computer today. I chose it because I wanted a cheap computer with the best graphics abilities for the price. I haven't been able to test the graphics yet. Hopefully the results will outweigh my disappointments. Today I have been setting up the computer. Below is my experience so far.
After updating all the software, BIOS, and drivers using HP's update app, the computer would not restart. It was frozen at the HP logo screen. Heeding the warning not to shut it off during update, I wanted about 30 minutes with nothing happening. Finally I shut it off and restarted it. It started up fine.
Note: Mine does NOT have a backlit keyboard as advertised!
Note: The sharp front edge cuts into your wrists when you are typing with the device on your lap.
Note: If you are expecting the speakers to sound great because of the Beats logo, it don't. It sounds like a laptop.
I connected to an external Bluetooth speaker, but the sound kept stuttering. I haven't tested it again since updating the firmware from HP.
