Purchased this to use in our home office. I like the large screen with vivid color - helpful when viewing Excel spreadsheets. Also, like quality sound from the speakers. The battery cord is on the opposite side than other laptop producers, but I guess it is located in the same area as other HP products.

This is my first laptop and I'm new to Windows 10 so it's been a bit of a struggle figuring things out and getting my files moved from my OLD computer. The CD drive stopped working after about a week. The picture and sound quality are great.

I had a 2002 model and it lasted ten years. So I bought another hp 17 inch

This is a great laptop for working at home or on the go. I have one and have purchased them for my team members.

Not what I was expecting. The WiFi disconnects every time the system wakes from hibernation. Other than that mild annoyance it is a great laptop. I use it mainly for school and it has been able to withstand all the stress and strain placed on it by multiple tabs and windows open at once with no delay.

I bought this for my wife and she just loves it. She use it everyday for work or play. Great Product!!!!!

Awesome laptop.very easy to navigate and setup. Good sounding speakers.would definetly purchase again .

I wanted a Dell but you were out. I settled for an HP but I don't like the keyboard. It doesn't type as nice as the DELL. And the fact that the computers are no longer 'plug-n-play'. What a hassle. I was not happy with my purchase!

Haven't mastered the windows 10 yet. Other than that all is well.

Love it thus far. It does everything I need it to and then some.

Very difficult to find Windows features with which I am familiar in the new Windows 10 format. Very difficult to find and access help. There are probably many fine features hidden away somewhere but I am finding it very frustrating to locate them. Not particularly user friendly- I find trial and error to be the only way to figure out how to proceed in many areas I want to work. Although that is often valuable and necessary it is also frustrating and tedious. In these days of design excellence this laptop is remarkably awkward to open. Raising the cover causes the entire body to also rise up and then to have to hold on to the frame while you continue to open the cover. Becoming acquainted with my new laptop is turning out to be a fairly disappointing experience.

Great laptop! Highly recommended! I’m hunting for a 17’’ laptop on the market. I’m a business man mainly checking email, web surf, using some business software like office, adobe, QuickBooks, sometimes play some small video game, watch movies. This laptop is the perfect one! I don’t like 15’’, which is so small for business use. We want to protect our eyes, reduce the radiation and keep a distance from the laptop. So 17’’ is my target at first. BTW: the big cost of laptop in the market is the screen. So big screen more value!  I’m an IT professional, so I know how to get a good configuration. For laptop, I highly recommend INTEL CPU instead of AMD due to the radiating problem of all laptops. For desktop, AMD is OK. For INTEL, i5 is really a middle choice. I have a i3 desktop, which is a little slow for some web page and videos. i7 CPU is a little over my need. I think most people that needs i7 laptop either plays some fancy video game, or does design work by professional software, but the price surely show the difference. For RAM memory, 4GB to run windows 8 is a little slow, 6GB is perfectly cover the speed and not overwhelmed. For Hard Drive, I really like a SSD drive, but this kind of laptop with a SSD drive is always over $700. 1TB is enough for me for storage. Also, I want to talk about 2 in 1 laptop and touchscreen. Based on my feeling, only 2 in 1 laptop need touchscreen, which means, you can use it as a tablet. A regular laptop with touch screen is almost useless. You will see that you don’t use the touch when you buy the laptop, probably once a month? No. For brand, HP is also the No.1 brand that has the biggest laptop market in the world. Anyway, I really like this laptop and it covers all my work. I will purchase another one for my mother. She also wants a laptop. Surely, 17’’ screen is a must for her! Highly recommend this laptop.
