I loved this laptop for the first few months I used it.....then it started giving me problems. The wifi keeps disconnecting on me. I've tried everything to fix that and I've seen that multiple other people have this problem. Also, I encounter a problem restarting every now and again. I love HP, but this laptop has given me so many problems. I do wish my old laptop wasn't so slow or I'd go back to using that. The pros of this laptop though is that it does have a nice screen, sound is good, three places where you can connect your USB, and a good amount of storage.

    Typical Laptop

Pros: 17.3" screen is big, bright, clear, but you must view it close to center or quality diminishes quickly. 5th-gen i5 and 6GB RAM is fast enough for everyday tasks and some light gaming. 1TB drive is big but slow. Battery life is decent. There's not that much bloatware installed by HP and Windows 10 runs smoothly. Cons: Audio sounds like a tin cup, even after playing with settings. This is typical for most non-gaming laptops. The keyboard feels cheap with so-so tactililty. You cannot upgrade RAM or disk w/o completely opening laptop. The arrow keys are packed tight together. Overall feel of laptop is cheap, and I'm not equating weight to build quality. This is another typical laptop that should last the average user a year without needing repair, probably to keyboard first. For the price I would only recommend this if you need an all-around decent laptop and you're careful with taking care of it. You won't be playing the latest games with all the razzle dazzle turned on though.

I'm a photographer, and if you know anything about Photoshop,Lightroom,or any other popular photo editing programs then you know that it takes a pretty powerful computer to run these programs smoothly, I have tons of RAW image files on my HP and I must say that this thing is a Beast, never had any problems installing multiple programs or editing hundreds of photos all the while listening to music on the laptop while i'm working, I prefer this laptop over my desktop,I can see me using this laptop for many years to come.

I am replacing my old HP Pavilion G7-1075dx that finally bit the dust. Excellent appearance and performance. Windows 10 is great. My only caveat is that a backlit keyboard on this model would be nice,

Good for surfing the web, and writing Word documents. Slower than my Toshiba in copying CDs.

I bought the 750GB version of this laptop just over a year ago, and I've been very happy with it. I use it for web surfing, for general home use, and for some gaming. I have a much more powerful desktop PC that I have in my office that I use for more serious gaming, but for things like Civilization IV and V, Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, and everything else, this does very well. Haven't had a single problem with it.

After over 5 years of usage and changing out the battery twice during that time, the laptop is still doing good. It's hard to find the specs. at the price that I paid years ago without breaking your pockets. (so no upgrade for me anytime soon)

I would give it 5 stars but I need to be impressed for that to happen closer to a 4.5 stars. The looks are great, feels like it is quality materials and craftsmanship, sound is above my expectations. Keyboard a bit noisy as I type this, but no big deal. The only downfall so far is Windows 10, but that is not HP's fault in my opinion. Also happy with speed of delivery!

Computer works great. I love that it has the number pad, the only thing I would ask for is that there was a little space between the letters and the number pad just to differentiate it.

This processor is on the low end of performance. It is Mid-ranged performance at best with a PassMark score of 3550. Only consider this unit if your budget demands it.

    So disappointed

I spent hours researching laptops so I could get the best value on all the features I wanted. This laptop has connectivity issues. I've reset to factory settings twice since I got it 24 hours ago. It works fine for a couple hours and then suddenly stops loading web pages or email content. HP tech "support" is WORTHLESS. I spent two hours on the phone with them and got nowhere. Tried every troubleshooting trick to no avail. I have no choice but to return this piece of junk.

Do yourself a favor, don't ever buy HP notebooks.. I bought one of their laptops, the ac adaptor didn't last the whole year ... when I called customer service, They started to give me BS and one guy told me that the laptop was bought in August, that I was out of warranty; but it was purchased in October . I even send them a pdf copy of my receipt .. I think they sold me a used junk..

Honestly received it in the mail 2 days ago. Turned it on and took forever to start up. Kept telling me to wait and kill pages and was working really slow. So I took it to best buy Geek squad. 1st computer I buy in years and it didn't even work
