I like the size of the monitor and the keyboard. Touch mouse and the operating system cause me some frustration, but the program options and visuals meet my needs. I expect I will become more efficient with the operating system, but I expect to add a wireless mouse for simplicity.

Love it! Can play world of warcraft on high settings and have no lag, fps is superb! Handles skyrim with ease. No touch screen, but has a DVDRW. Was informed that many laptops will not have a DVDRW to make room for something else or to make them lighter. I don't like that, but this one can handle just about everything I throw at it.

Great computer for home, surfing and general use. Great graphics on 17" screen, computer is light in weight and not to bulky. Intel I-5 processor is fast and the 6 G memory works just fine. Best deal I could find on line for the quality of computer. Online order was fast with shipping, had the computer within a week of ordering.

Bought this computer for friends who are an elderly couple. They use it mostly for skyping, web browsing, and emailing, and it works for them pretty well despite the hateful user interface of Windows 8.1 (my rating estimate would be higher if the computer had Windows 7).

This 17" HP has worked from day 1 without any issues. I got a great price and got an I 5 chip for an A8 outlay. Speakers are far better than the Toshiba I compared it to, HP updates are easy- even BIOS, fast, plenty of RAM and storage, 30 second boot. I don't game, but for everything else this HP performing flawlessly.

Set up and registration was easy to do. User friendly. I like the weight and simple design of this computer. I like the screen and the pictures are perfect. Speakers are not bad for a laptop computer. This computer runs great and the speed is moderate.

The HP Pavilion Laptop is incredibly easy to use and the screen is bright and clear! It is great for watching movies and live entertainment. The cost was low, and I have been extremely pleased in every way with this purchase.

I never had a laptop computer before. It's easy to use once I got use to windows 8. I have always used desk top computers. I like being able to take it with me any where I need to.

I got this computer for my mother, and she absolutely loves it. For the price I paid, I can say that I got her a decent laptop. She was used to her old, slow computer. To get her something with these great specs made me really happy for her. She hasn't had a problem with it at all!

pros: big screen, sleek look, storage space is decent, runs alot of the programs i use for gaming, fast processing con: it came as a 8.1 window (that upgraded to windows 10 recently happy about that) no backlight on the keyboards

The laptop was nicer than the five yr old one; however, the keys already stick, the mouse pad is way too sensitive, and I detest Windows 8 being the only choice for software options.

I gave the lap top a 4 star because I have only began to use it. I like the big screen, the key board w/number pad to the side . It is quite different from my other lap top but when I learn the new stuff I would be giving it 5 star.

Great laptop for the price. Unfortunately less than a month in the power cord stopped working. And it is something HP recalled. Waiting on our new power cord from HP a few weeks now.

If you want an easy to use affordable large screen laptop this is it. The only fault is the short battery life, everything else is great!

I have tried it myself and i am very impressed with the speed and space that it has. I can put all my recipes on file and still have room to download music and movies. Plenty of storage space for other things. Very good to start out with if this is your first laptop.

I love the size It has that 8.1 windows, it's taking a little to get use to it but, loving the apps. It's super fast, great memory for me and the sound it's awesome. Great thing is that speakers are on top, so if you have it on your lap, you can hear everything great. The only con (for me) it's that you have to sing in with Microsoft when everything I have is Google, it's cloud base so it takes many steps to save stuff in your documents if you don't want them in the cloud. I am plannig on going to the Microsoft store to join a workshop. Maybe it's because I am not so computer savvy. I love the look, it's very slick. And the weight is very manageable ( it's bigger than my old one and weights less) as a machine it's awesome!

This is my first laptop and I just love it. I was always worried about going from my 22 inch monitor to a small 15 or 16 inch laptop screen. Well this laptop with the 17 in monitor is just perfect my vision. I would not trade it for a desk top ever.

We researched many laptops before deciding on this one. It meets our needs perfectly. We are impressed with the quality and that it is not bulky and difficult to transport. The keyboard is easy to use and so far we have not encountered any issues.
