The setup was easy and every thing works as advertised. Windows 10 setup is time consuming if you want to opt out of all of their data collection "features" Found this on sale for $730.00 For that price, to get all this in Aug 2019 seemed to me to be a real good deal for a new, not refurbished PC. I already had a decent monitor and was able to use it with this. I am glad I was able to get this. Intel I7-8700 8th Gen CPU, 16 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD with a 7200 RPM 1 TB WD disk drive, DVD/CD RW, Plenty of USB ports and 1 HDMI, WIFI and NIC, wireless keyboard and mouse Graphics Card - UHD Graphics 630 (Desktop Coffee Lake i5 i7) - Work great for what I am using it for. However, it is not the greatest based on this https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/SpeedTest/356797/IntelR-UHD-Graphics-630 if you are a gamer or need great graphics performance you should add the cost of getting a better one installed tp the base price of this system.

After reviewing several makes/models looking for a replacement for my crashed desktop, I decided to purchase the HP Pavilion. This computer offered outstanding features: 1 TB Hard Drive, 120GB SSD, 16GB of Memory and an Intel Core i7. This desktop offers speed, DVD drive, multiple USB ports, plenty of storage and enough memory - 16GB to satisfy my computing needs. Great price, great features and plenty of bells and whistles to make this a great purchase for me.

Just what I needed for work. I needed a device with a powerful i7 and 16GB of RAM to run Virtual Machines. Unfortunately most of the devices in this class included a dedicated Graphics Card that I will never use. I saved about 300 Dollars by buying this rather than the one with a graphics card. My only regret is the one with the Graphics card had a bigger Solid State Drive. The 128GB that is in this one was not enough, I ended up buying a SSD and installing it into this laptop.

Replacing my Gateway FX gaming computer

I purchased this computer to replace my old Gateway computer. This computer is compact in comparison to my Gateway. It is very sleek and very plan looking. I had to buy a new VGA connector and hook it up to my old monitor that works great with this computer. I have an old Acer monitor 24 inch. This computer comes with an integrated video card. It has several slots to add in hard drives. It comes with a 128 sd drive. That to me is a very small drive and with that said I did the updates for windows 10 and the sd drive is filling up fast. I have ordered a new sd drive 1 terabit pny. The computer comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Small and delicate. I think this was a good bang for the book. I am not planning on gaming anymore hence not spending the big bucks on a top of the line gaming computer. However I do think you can still play games on this computer. The one thing I am not crazy about is the dvd player it is in an awkward position. I really do not like placing a dvd in on its side. With that said the DVD drive is delicate and basic. I plugged The computer in after purchasing the vga connector and set it up in no time. My monitor has a DVI connection. I could not use it to hook up to this computer. There isn't a DVI Connection on this computer. Do not forget to get a new VGA connection when purchasing this computer if you plan on using you old monitor. I am in the process of making a recovery flash drive and a recovery disk. With the solid state drive the computer comes on very fast and shuts down very fast. I also like the 1 terabit Hdd drive. I have been using that with transferring files from my old Gateway to the new HP Pavilion. Like with Gateway I think this HP Pavilion will give years of use. I think HP is a reputable company and makes great products. They have been around for many many years.

Replaced an old desktop that was really getting slow. Tech Support looked at it and said the hard drive was failing. Bought this one and couldn't be happier. It's fast and quiet (the previous one had a very noisy fan). Has plenty of ports and setup was a breeze

It works... but pain to upgrade video

With otherwise decent specs, I bought two of these with the intention of upgrading the video. I did a bit of research ahead of time and knew that I would need to purchase new power supplies through HP, which while wasn't ideal, was something I could work with. HP doesn't make it easy to upgrade and it took a while to track down the correct part numbers. At time of purchase, the best power supply we could get through HP was a 400w, which was disappointing, but would meet the power supply needs of the budget friendly video cards we were planning on adding. I believe there was also a 310w power supply also available. You can upgrade the SSD drive (I did on one machine) and the memory, which was a must. With the SSD drive, fast, and the machine in general is quiet. Aside from the power supply issue, my only real complaint is the case. It is so tiny (maybe a plus for some), which makes me worry about overheating and made the upgrades a pain, it has a vertical disc drive and it is SO ugly ;-) The fake brushed metal plastic is just hideous. But, the compact size may perfect for some and I haven't actually had any issues with overheating or the vertical drive (which I use on a regular basis).

Now that Microsoft is discontinuing support of Windows 7 I needed a new computer. Even though I have a laptop I prefer to use a desktop at home. My last two desktops were HP so I went with another HP. The reviews were good and because it was my birthday month I received 10% off the sale price. I was glad that a reviewer indicated that the drive was divided into two drives. So when I installed data I installed it on the D drive to keep the C drive for software. It was easy to set up and easy to install. I really have no complaints at this time. I received the computer timely in the beginning of September and have spent about 10 days using it.

i7 processor delivers speed and performance, 16gb of RAM means I do not max out resource when editing videos or high-res photos. The 128GB solid state drive for the primary partition is good, would have liked larger to handle the drive-hog Windows, but routine maintenance means I do not run out of space while delivering 12-second boot-time. The 1TB drive is good, have boosted with additional 4TB with no issue. 2+ years of use already and still extremely happy with my purchase.

So far I love this PC. Boots and shuts down really fast. I have run some memory intensive programs with no issues. So far I have been very pleased. The only thing I don’t like is the way the hard drive is partitioned. The C Drive is really small, so be careful when installing programs and storing documents and music. Use the D Drive to keep the C Drive free. Other than that no complaints.

This was a great upgrade from my old HP desktop PC. Super fast with a ton of storage on the extra built-in storage drive. Runs multiple design programs, apps and web browser at the same time with ease and without bogging down at all. There was a slight learning curve for me going from Windows 7 to Windows 10, but didn't take long to get the hang of it and really like how 10 is set up. Couldn't be happier with this PC especially with the great sale price Best Buy had on it when I got it.

I have had multiple desktops, and then went the laptop route and now I have decided on a desktop again. It is fast, but they usually are when they’re new. I am not fond of 2 drives. Sometimes on a download it doesn’t prompt me to choose where the download goes. Although I have not had any problems with the wireless keyboard or mouse, I have used them before where they can lose connection and at the most inopportune time. I will have to spend additional money to get the wired keyboard. I do not like that you have to download just about everything. I would love the option of having a disc to add wanted apps/games/programs. I know that’s how they prefer to do things now, but some things I prefer to have a hard copy of. Overall it’s a good computer. It wasn’t on the high end as far as pricing, so it works well for someone who needs a decent computer for home use and at a fair price.

Replaced an older HP desktop with the Pavilion noted! Setup was a breeze and customization was painless with simple tools to enhance the process. Unit comes with Windows 10 which provides almost instant startup. The 16GB of RAM is a real plus and combined with the i7 processor really helps APPS fly. The wireless connectability to an HP Officejet worked first time and the entire process of setup probably required 30 - 45 min. This is my second HP desktop and have nothing but praise! The only slight blemish is the cheap keyboard and wired mouse that came with the package! Used another keyboard and mouse setup and everything works beautifully!

I always do lots of research before buying anything and this computer had great reviews. I really wanted a solid-state drive to eliminate that start up drag time and this one delivers. I work from home and have put this through the paces and it does what it promises. It is quick and quiet. I think this one will serve me well for years to come! And to top it off, it looks really nice!

I had issues with my old PC in the office. Slow, things were freezing on me. Had 4GB of ram. It was a dell. Which is crap. I decided to go HP and get this model, which is very powerful, has plenty of RAM, and has excellent quality and reviews. Came with a wireless keyboard and mouse combo. I wanted something powerful, but not as fancy as a gaming PC. This was my best choice. I couldn’t be happier. I bought one in March. Was so pleased, that I decided to buy 5 more for other employees is my office. Such a popular model that it was recently sold out by all major retailers including directly from HP, which is where I got 4 of them from. Only Best Buy has them in stock and gave the added benefit of anti virus protection. Computer has not let me down. It puts all other laptops and PCs out there to shame. Nothing has crashed on me so far, and and it installs windows updates at 1 thousand times the speed that my old PC had. The 16 GB of ram might seem a bit much, but it’s definitely worth it. Anything less than 16 GB of ram is definitely not worth the money.

Great computer, the specs cant be beat and everything is up to date. Only took a few minutes to set up. Big thing to remember about this, is once you have all your dedicated programs installed on the SSD, remember to go in and change where future data will be saved and select the HD or you will use up the SSD in no time.

Hardly any day to day chores slows this one down. In an office environment it preforms it's duty without delay. My main concern is the power supply looks to be weak. Upgrading the video card could shorten it's life significantly. Only time will tell. I did purchase the extended warranty.
