Great product. I'd been looking for a while for just the right laptop with a)power, b)speed c)style etc. I'll be doing business presentations, coding, travelling etc. While its a little heavy for travel, its a pretty powerful box. My only caveat is VISTA. God, how I loathe it. Vista caused untold headaches in a)connecting to my wifi home network (updating the wifi drivers fixed that) and b) connecting to my wireless print server (using LPR worked). Its 64-bit Vista, so apparently a lot of manufacturers don't have drivers for it. So, now that those 2 issues are solved, I'm really really happy. A few more tiny things though 1)shiny case picks up fingerprints, keep the included buffing cloth handy if you have an issue with that 2) glossy screen glares in some environments 3) I couldn't find the 3rd USB port until I looked on their website and it said it was inside the eSATA port, and lo there it is.

I bought this computer about 5-6 days ago. I had never owned a laptop nor used Vista before. However, this computer has been a very surprising and pleasant experience. I download movies over the internet in very very short time, listen to music with the decent quality built in speakers, and play a few games with the graphics card installed. All work wonders. =] I love how I can multi-task with ease on this laptop. I can have aol, msn, yahoo, and skype all running along with few tabs of firefox downloading a movie and playing a video game. (was testing the multi-tasking ability) all ran exceptionally well. All n all, this is a very good computer. I had my doubts on it while comparing it to other computers at Bestbuy.com but in the end I went with this one and couldn't be happier (that i know of) I'd recommend it any day of the week. =]

When I first bought this laptop I loved it. Recently though it has been freezing up for no reason in the middle of doing something and I've had to power it down without shutting it down the right way at least once a day. I do not know why it keeps doing this. But I do enjoy the laptop and it has a lot of great features and programs on it. The battery life on it is great too.

This laptop is amazing. First off the price is fantastic for what you get. Im in the military and college i use this as my work,school,and play laptop and its overperformed everytime. Its so easy to use that even "rookies" would find it easy and stimulating. I am also constantly downloading movies and music and the 4gigs of RAM make it super fast and the display is fantastic. The HDMI port is great i hook it up to my HDTV and watch movies all the time and its also like i have a 60' monitor! The casing is sleek and durable and even the mouse pad is super responsive. I had an HP laptop as well as gateways and dells, i liked HP so i decided to go with this computer and I am sooooo glad i did. Get this one YOU WONT REGRET IT!

my 5th hp dv4 series and love them all! i have this in gold with a 320g hard drive. this one is 250 but great. great battery life excellent sound. only 2 problems is the norton installed, its the new 2009 edition and completly is not compatable with the hp. i uninstalled it and installed 360. and the keyboard down on the bottom (zxcvbn and the space bar) was broken as the buttons were sunk in the laptop other than that it is great!

I just love everything about this laptop. I really like the black design, because I am not a big fan of the gold color of the latest HP's. The keyboard is just the right size for easy typing. The processor is super fast, and there is more then enough memory to store your pictures and music. I have had no issues with either the mousepad or the volume control being touchy, which I have heard before. This computer is also very user friendly. It took my eight year old daughter about 5 minutes to figure it out! I would recommend this laptop to anyone who wants a quality HP product. You won't be disappointed.

I got this laptop for school, as I am starting college in the fall. All I can say is that this is the perfect laptop for that purpose. The 4GB of memory allow me to multitask and work on many things at once, and it really helps that it came with Microsoft Office pre-installed. Not only that, but it comes with HP MediaSmart and a great webcam and microphone that can provide for hours of fun and entertainment when you're bored. Overall, this laptop was the perfect buy for me, and it's probably one of the best laptops you can get for less than 1K.

Really good specs, although screen could be bigger. If this comp goes down by 40-50 dollars definite buy. Still a bit pricey but good for the price.

Not only is this a good computer but its appealing to the eye. It has a very unique design and is a very good choice for a teens first computer. My friend bought this and fell in love.

Laptop was very stylish and compact, so I thought it would be ideal for school. However, it started to overheat and would shut down by itself if I left it running for awhile. It would also make a loud whirring noise, as if something was affecting the fan. I was quite concerned since the laptop was brand-new (usually, older laptops have these types of problems). Instead of spending money on trying to figure out what was wrong with the laptop, I ended up returning it to the store and investing in another brand.

Good laptop computer, with a reasonable cost. The only bad thing I found in it untill now is its excessive heat, scpeccially where you leave your left hand when typing.

this laptop is awesome! i need my computer to be quick, and this gets the job done. this laptop has form and function (the majority of the other laptops on the market are bronze or fingerprinty black or just eyesores). speakers are great, love the touch sensitive media controls, high res screen, basically this hp has everything i need out of a laptop. i had a dell laptop prior and exchanged it twice before getting this one, best decision lately haha

I bought this computer for school and for artwork and it works great for both. The handwriting feature is a lifesaver. The only downside is that the screen is not pressure sensitive when it comes to programs like Photoshop, but it is in the handwriting portion (weird). I do love it though.

This laptop has great performance for its price, I was going to grab a laptop for school but as a guy who plays games constantly wanted something that could play some of the games I do, not as great visuals as my desktop obviously but this laptop was able to run all the games I play at a steady 30fps+ I was astounded by this I was expecting it to be at least 24 frames. This is defiantly a bang for your buck.

By far, this is the one of the best laptop I have ever used in my whole entire life. So, far I like this laptop because it is so fast compare to other laptops. What I enjoy about this laptop is it make good sound effects. It also has more games and etc. I'm glad that a store manager at Brentwood walk me thorough the process of recommend this laptop for my needs.

This product is great! I haven't had a single problem with it and I'm still getting used to all the features. Its picture is great, it works nice and fast. iTunes even seems to work quicker on this laptop than others I've used. This laptop was bought specifically for personal use and school work, its a great buy for its price. I'm really happy with it.

This laptop is really great. I could barely stop using it. its nice and fast. has a good display a batttery life of 4 hours which is decent. the best buy person although tried so hard to convince me not to get this laptop for some reason. I still got it and its been really nice. had it for like a week now and its doing me good. Webcam works great too.

well the product i bought is really great because i use it all day which i do for emailing family thats far away and alot of video games and i also can watch alot of movies on this laptop. i recommened it to everyone. :-)

I love that it came with a remote. The picture is so clear. The keys on the keyboard are in prefect reach, so you do not strain your wrists or fingers.
