Product was good initially but it is very slow now and the leather corners and sealing started to tear off even with extreme care

I travel for work and I need a computer that can login to RightNetworks and other online networks in order to complete my daily tasks. This is perfect, the leather is awesome, a have a coworker that just bought one since they fell in love with mine. The speed seems to be great compared to my Lenovo Yoga3 core m, and the battery lasts easily a full 8-10hr work day. I run a dual monitor with this at times and it's great as well. I find myself using this for casual internet browsing way more than my previous Lenovo, partially because it's not an eye sore sitting on the end table so I keep it there instead of my office bag when I'm not working.

I feel in love with the design as soon as I saw this and with the sale discount it was a no brainer for me, but looks can be deceiving. Overall I really like this laptop but there is some issue detailed below: Processor Slower than I expected especialy when compared to my Surface Pro (latest gen). I can get bogged down with too many browser windows open (30+) but I am a power user Ram Only 8GB and I suspect this is part of the reason for the browser issue Screen Beautiful touch screen responsive, bright, good refresh rate and pen input is fast (I saw no delay in inking and changing aspect ratio) Keyboard The keyboard is great, nice travel backlit Mouse The mouse is just OK, too small for my liking and not very smooth or responsive Speakers Speakers are simply poor, tinny-sounding, no warmth Design The speaker's grills are a dust and crumb magnet, they look great but are not effective. The pen holder is poorly designed as it has expanded (due to being leather) and now the pen falls out. Battery The charger is slow and heavy and takes an age to charge from empty ( I read that this was a fast charger). Weight Due to the leather and screen flipping mechanism, this 2 in 1 is heavy when compared to others

This is a really unique laptop. It is super thin but packs a pretty powerful CPU and enough memory to do your day to day work with ease. The aesthetics on this laptop is not to shabby either. The leather makes it look really sophisticated. Touch Screen and the included pen works great on One Note. Better than any Mac I ever owned.

Excellent computer to do a things you need to do on a laptop. Sleek, portfolio like and tablet form is not bad though portfolio is permanently attached. Really good battery life for conference video communication on the constant which brings us to the downside. The camera. It not quite as a Surface Pro 3. It is passable for College or younger school classes but not for business use. The keyboard does light up and you will have to consider getting a USC type C adapter to connect normal HDMI and even normal USB which could work setting up as an external web cam but that is stupid considering that laptop should have a great web cam already. Coolest and most practical, you can charge from both sides which makes it very mobile.

I have now had this for nearly a year and I'm still thrilled with it's performance and versatility. I came to this from a 7 year old MacBook Pro that finally had a video card failure. I have used HP laptops at work for many years so it was an easy switch. The keyboard is perfect for such a small PC. The speed is great for the usual surfing and Office files (including some complex Excel files). The silence while using it might be my favorite feature. The versatility of the touchscreen is great. Not related to this HP, but I was surprised by the lack of touch optimized apps in the MS store. One thing that initially drove me to look at this type of PC was that I not only wanted to replace my MacBook but I was also hoping it could replace my old iPad. It has accomplished both those goals for the most part but it seems MS has not put any effort in developing for the tablet market. With all the tablets and touchscreens out there now, you would think they would have addressed it by now. Anyway, I highly recommend it!

This is a 2-in-1 13 inch computer, and in that sense is functionally similar to a host of others, such as the Spectra X-360 or the Dell XPS. What is distinctive about the computer is that it is covered in high-grade leather. Yet, it is as thin and light a similarly sized computers. It is highly portable. The screen allows for much wider viewing angles than the standard XPS or X-360. It has 3 USB-C ports, but otherwise has no other connecting ports such as flash-card reader or HDMI that may be found on other computers. Personally, I find the three ports more than sufficient to meet my needs. One can always buy a USB docking port. Although it comes bundled with a McAfee antivirus program and a HP Support software, the computer fortunately comes with fewer pre-installed nuisances than is customary for HP computers. The fan is also more silent than is customary for HP laptops. On the whole, I think this is a very good computer.

let me start out by saying that the i7 processor is the only misleading feature of this laptop because a little research reveals that it is not the typical i7 processor in most PCs. It is only dual core and they selected that chip for several reasons. ULTRA low power consumption which means no heat and no need for fans and therefore no need for a big battery. That said, don’t expect a powerhouse laptop for playing ULTRA 4k HDR games on max settings. This laptop will suit the needs of 99% of the market that wants an actual laptop for portability. It’s worthy of noting that this laptop is a masterpiece of the finest craftsmanship. Nothing feels cheap. Premium materials were used everywhere. You really need to see this demo and hold it in your hands to appreciate it. By the way, this thing is loaded with features. If you are asking if it has “this”, it does.

Second to none in design and functionality. Performance is up there too. Not for gaming, but its dual-core i7 (Y series) performs extremely well. Excellent device for productivity. ...and great looks... Expensive, yes. But you do get what you pay for.

The thing that hit me first about the Folio is the battery life! I own a Spectre X2 and a Spectre X360. Both have practical battery lives of about 5 hours (being careful to not run the battery charge below 20%). The Folio will easily run all day - 8 hours and more. As far as performance goes, the Folio is on a par with the other Spectre offerings, in other words, it's fine. I bought the Folio because the battery in the X2 had swollen to the point that the screen was forced from its frame and I needed a replacement machine. Surprisingly, I returned the 3 year old X2 to HP and they repair it and returned it to me in about 4 days - at no charge! I was impressed!

This is a wonderful computer. The leather is ultra-high quality and it is just gorgeous. The only complaint I have about tit is that it uses a dual-core i7 processor as opposed to the quad-core. For such a high priced item, I really feel that it should have the BEST processor, not the cheaper version of the best processor. But in reality, the PC is pretty fast for business and pleasure (although not gaming) needs. And the quality is absolutely top-notch. You mostly get what you pay for.

I love this computer. I've been wanting to get more mobile and spend less time working at my desk. This device has been a big help. Super light weight and portable but still with a decent screen size. My old laptop feels like a bag of bricks compared to this. Working in Acrobat DC with this touchscreen and stylus is really cool. Lots of functions for marking up screenshots and pdfs that I did not have before. These two work well together. I think I'm just scratching the surface of all the new things I can do with this. Besides that, it's just a really cool and unique looking computer. The leather feels nice and is grippable when carrying. Really happy with this purchase so far.

This laptop is amazing. It’s not the smallest you can get but it’s extremely thin. What pushed me towards it was the beautiful leather binder it’s attached to. I’m in my 40’s so I wanted something that looked professional and attractive as well as dependable. When it comes to system software I will always go with windows or IOS. ALSO it’s got a very responsive touch screen. And it can easily be flipped to use as a pad, or just use as a laptop.

The Spectre Folio is a wonderful device with a near perfect form factor to be productive and also consume entertainment. The innovative 2 n 1 design combined with the upscale leather skin is stylish and unique which separates it from the competition. Plenty of power to accomplish most of my tasks and convenient enough to take with me almost anywhere. Battery life is excellent so far. Kudos to HP for designing and executing a truly exceptional product.

Let me say this is a very nice looking and feeling laptop that is highly versatile with its hinging panel. The keyboard is pretty decent as well and its two-stage backlighting is bright and helps a ton in a dark setting. However, the panel does not get that bright and I constantly had to leave it at 75% or higher to be able to read anything. Sitting outside or near a window...good luck. The leather finish...feels amazing however I can see the sides unraveling over time. I take care of my electronics but I felt like I had to be extra careful touching the sides and moving it. I had no issues in the month I had it but I was very suspect about how it will hold up long term for my use. The i7 chip in it is dual-core and you notice it when you attempt to push it even mildly. Lastly...the trackpad is awful. HP went with a different driver and it doesn't support Windows gestures. It registered a few false touches...I just wasn't a huge fan. Overall. I really liked what HP was going for with this but it isn't the perfect fit for me at this time. I will be on the lookout for an updated version of this and I cannot undersell the hinging panel enough. I miss it already and I want other manufacturers to follow suit.

This is the perfect computer for a student. When shut it looks like an ordinary leather notebook (btw 100% genuine leather! take a sniff of it!) super light weight but don't let that fool you. This baby is the speed of light. The pen is just above and beyond. I've given up paper. I now solely write on my hp! definitely glad I went for this baby and not a macbook air like I originally intended.

Upon purchasing the HP - Spectre Folio Leather 2-in-1 I was using a 2005 Hp laptop, which still got the job done, but it was slow as a turtle. The touch screen is easy to use, and it comes with a drawing pen for added convenience and it works perfectly for taking notes. It may be a little pricey but I promise you will not be disappointed.

I’ve had the spectre for two weeks now and I love it. The built in leather case is great. It protects the computer, looks sharp, and feels great. The convertible design is pretty cool. I’ve never really cared for the flip around 2-in-1’s. It always seemed awkward to have the keyboard being used as the base and felt like the hinges would get worn out. With the spectre you can feel it lock into positions with magnets making it feel sturdy. You can tell it’s not a full powered I7 chip, but it’s still plenty fast for casual use. I haven’t tried to put it through intricate spreadsheets, and I don’t game, but that’s not what I got it for. I think my only complaint is the responsiveness of the touchpad for the mouse. Sometimes I have to click a few times before it goes through. I get better response with just lightly tapping instead of a full push down, just a matter of remembering. Overall a great sexy looking 2-in-1!
