Better notebook replacement than tablet

I tend to use a tablet more often for use outside of work and I’ve been in the market for a new tablet and my notebook was giving me problems. The HP Spectre 2X seemed to be a way to kill 2 birds with one stone.
Looking at 2in1’s I couldn’t imagine using them as a tablet for more than a few minutes based on the size and weight. I really liked the ability to detach the screen for tablet use but it’s a little awkward with the size of the screen and bezel as well as button placement. That being said it still works as a tablet but I feel as though it’s a better notebook replacement.
The keyboard rivals some of the best notebook keyboards I’ve ever used. I’m not sure if it has a battery inside or just draws power from the unit but it just works, well.
I was a little hesitant as I worry about retailer “exclusive” devices but I can say this is a well built and beautiful machine. I’m not sure if this is exclusive to this machine but I was pleasantly surprised with how few bloatware programs were pre-installed.
Some have said the battery life isn’t great but I’ve gotten 6+ hours consistently without any power saving features.
The biggest weakness for this notebook/tablet is storage, while it comes with a 256GB ssd that is lighting fast I was hoping the microUSB would be more usable for app storage like Dropbox or OneDrive storage.
I haven’t had a chance to test out the cellular data as I’m not a Verizon customer but I need to see if it’s locked or unlocked for another carrier. Since I paid full retail it should be unlocked.
It would have been nice if HP had a spot in connect the pen since it plays a key role into some of the cool features of Windows 10 and the touch screen.
I would recommend this to a friend

The pen sold by Bestbuy(and shown in HP's web page) didn't work(it should be a Wacom based pen not sold as a stand alone item by HP!). Could not get Verizon account setup, even after numerous calls and visits. One RealSense app showed up, but didn't work the next day. Utter chaos and HP could not solve.
