Looked at a lot of laptops before I settled on this. I needed to replace my 8 year old Dell and this has been really good. I did need to get used to the touchpad and Windows 8, but the speed and battery life has been nothing short of great. Thia was more than I was hoping to spend, but was willing to pay due to the performance.

One Of The Best Ultrabooks You Can Buy

How can I begin my review of this sexy Ultrabook? This is simply an amazing piece of machine. Let me start by saying literally have been researching for the whole month of February, on finding the perfect Ultrabook. I read some of the reviews on the others like the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, and Dell XPS. Before this HP came across my radar, I was about to make a purchase of the Dell XPS 13, but then it was love at first site when this little sexy Ultrabook came on my radar. The HP Spectre X360 has a great build quality. You notice that off the bat, its sleek thin aluminum body is a site to see. It has a sturdy build, and the hinges are pure quality. I opted to get the ICore7, 256 SSID, and 8 gigs of RAM. This Ultrabook is superfast, a joy to use, the screen is HD quality, and the backlit keys are a gem. Not to mention how long the battery lasts. Lenovo’s Yoga build quality is made of plastic. However, the HP is made of “precision-machined aluminum frame and jewel-cut edges” I would recommend anyone to pick this up instead of the Dell XPS13 or any MacBook. It simply outshines the competition. Go get it, you won’t be disappointed.

I recently left a long term job and was dreading the process of getting and setting up a personal laptop (without the benefit of an IT department) for home use. I got the Spectre based on a family member's recommendation, and I've been very happy with it. It was SUPER simple to set up, in probably less than an hour's worth of effort I had Microsoft Office, Windows email app, and my printer software up and running. I find the keyboard comfortable to type on, and it is very light and easy to carry around. I have seen comments that the Spectre runs hot, but I think HP may have addressed this already as mine does not. The display on this laptop is really crisp and beautiful. Love this machine!

It really is a great product. Fantastic battery life, great resolution, quite, very light and pretty good performance for how thin it is. You cant quite do 3D gaming or high-res photo editing but i7 does a good job.

I used to love HP laptops but lately haven't been impressed with the plastic housing which often breaks due to stress from metal hinges. I had a pavilion and after the hinges broke, I researched a lot of brands looking for a new one. I work remotely so I am always on the go. Battery life is something I have come to never trust - but this one holds up. I have forgotten for hours that I am on battery, its that good! This laptop is sleek, folds flat and can actually be used easily in every position. It has incredible power, switches easily from laptop to tablet and is the perfect size for both. I was surprised to find one I can actually use both ways. The power cord is nice, its a small swivel - the lenovo has a huge usb shaped cord that does not turn and I would have a hard time with that when on the go or when kids trip over my cord. The only thing I would improve is to use a magnetic power cord like the Mac. We have a Mac book and I will say this is the first PC laptop I have used that compares. I use it daily for work and have been throwing a lot at it like multiple office programs open, databases, web browsers and Adobe products like photoshop, illustrator etc and have no delays in response time. The keyboard is responsive, the screen is incredible for a touch screen, and the mouse pad is large, useful and never interferes when typing which is usually my biggest complaint. You honestly cannot find a sleeker, more powerful or flexible laptop out there. I tried them all and this one is true to its advertising. The aluminum case and solid state hard drive make a big difference as well. Test it out and I bet you wont want to put it down.

Love my specter 360. The large trackpad and touchscreen eliminate the need for a mouse. It is light and easy to carry, and the battery life is insane. I haven't used my desktop since I got it.

Nice quality 2 in 1 laptop. Boot time is 3 or 4 secs. Screen resolution is nice and rich. Touch screen works well and is responsive. Keyboard is nice and reminds me of the old Macbook Pro keyboards. There are only a few minor things that I do not like. First, the RAM is soldered to the motherboard. It would have been nice if the RAM could have been expanded to 16gb. As many reviews have pointed out, the laptop is a little on the heavy side given the category it is in. I haven't had problems with the fan like other users, but when I does come on, it is a bit on the noisy side. For the money, this laptop is a real value. Highly recommended.

I purchased this laptop little less than a week ago for school and I charged it only once on Tuesday and the battery lasted until Saturday of the same week. Good battery life and am able to use a stylus on the touch screen also.

After a few weeks with the HP Spectre x360, I must say this is the best laptop I have ever owned. The design is beautiful and always has people looking when in class. Build quality is excellent. I Use the laptop to run multiple programs like Photoshop, AutoCAD, Inventor etc. The Spectre x360 never seems to slow down. Anyone looking to get an ultra thin Windows laptop for school or work, I would highly recommend this one. No disappointment here.

After playing with my Spectre for a few days, I really like it, but have noticed a few flaws. The boasted about and advertised video player would not run Netflix or YouTube, so the HP phone support downgraded me to the standard video player to get these to run. I am not tech savy enough to notice a difference but was annoyed at having to go through that process. The touch screen itself and the track pad are also not quite as responsive as other brands I have used, but I am a mouse person anyway. The keyboard is fantastic for lengthy typing and the processing speed has been superb. The case feels very substantial and not like it will break if looked at the wrong way. Plus it is simply gorgeous to look at. I am very pleased.

The touch screen is amazing to work and play games with and it was pretty easy to download the free Windows 10.
Now on to he negatives, (drive?) incompatibility issues with windows 10 and applications like Hulu and Netflix and the speakers are pretty horrible. They make music sound like you're hearing it in a tunnel and my left speaker keeps on...clicking. I've done multiple drive and windows updates and these are still an issue. I will be sending the laptop in shortly to see if we can fix the speakers.
To end on a good note, the speed is pretty amazing.

Well crafted product, not heavy, plenty of memory, fast, solid, good battery life. If it came with office 365 for below $1000 it would be a super deal, but it does not...but its still a good deal.

Very good 2-in-1 HP laptop with x64 bit architecture, 8 GB RAM, very fast bootup time (approx. 5 secs) due to the solid state HD, very crisp HD screen. i7 Intel processor is very fast. Being an engineer, the hardware helps make my work/life easier. I also ordered a USB DVD drive, USB ethernet adapter, and a USB-USB transfer cable. Was surprised the unit did not come with built-in ethernet...that's about the machine's only downfall. Due to its thin size, a CD/DVD drive wouldn't fit, so that is why I got a USB drive. The USB-USB transfer cable let me transfer files from my old machine in no time.
It will take some time to continue to get used to the keyboard.. my old machine's keys were a little quicker so that fast typing didn't miss a letter here and there. This machine's keys have a slightly delayed response to pop back up, so times I'll miss a double letter. It will take a little training on my part to get used to the new keyboard. This is fairly standard when moving to a new laptop/keyboard.
Battery time is very good.. I use the machine in the field outside all day and can easily get 8+ hrs with WiFi turned off and the screen just below top brightness.
I purchased the DELL active pen (stylus) due to issues reported with the HP pen (stylus). I've used pen tablets with pen/stylus since 2002 but this machine/pen work will take a little time to get used to. Same for the hand-writer in WIN10.
Got the machine with WIN8.1 installed and upgraded to WIN10 a few weeks later when the machine was 'ready' per MS. WIN10 is very nice and I have customized most settings for privacy reasons and to make the OS appear as much like WIN7 as possible.
Overall a very good machine with top end processor, RAM, and screen resolution.

This computer is great. Has a nice premium look that gets mistaken as an apple product when I'm out in public. Nice and convenient that you can flip the screen around to use as a touchscreen and the battery life is phenomenal compared to my last laptop I owned. Also it wasn't stated on the specs of this computer, but the screen has a digitizer that works with a dell touch pen to make note-taking or drawing an ease.
Would highly recommend.

This is an excellent laptop computer for a college student. i used it for my first semester, and it still works great! It runs Microsoft Office very well, browses the Internet quickly, and connects to WiFi and printers with no problems. The battery lasts long, and the computer is very portable.
This laptop has a very bright (adjustable) display, as well as a back lit keyboard that the light can be turned on and off. The touch screen works great.
I would recommend this laptop to a college student.

I wanted something with a small form factor and was future proof. This laptop meets both those requirements. It's slim and easy to carry, being a college student that's a must. I like that it's touchscreen cause it lets me play certain software like Bluestacks using the touchscreen instead of the keyboard. It boots up fast and loads software quickly. That being said, it gets hot on your lap. The more you task it, the hotter it gets. To summorize, hands down the best performing laptop I have ever owned.
