Other than the corners being a little more fragile than what I'd like (easily dented if dropped), this is an awesome laptop. Fast, light, and a long-lasting battery!

Overall this is a good product!
I wanted to get a 2-in-1 laptop and i decided to go with this one. I think this laptop is one of the best from 2-in-1 laptops. The design is good, touch screen is feedback is quick and accurate, keys feel good, and overall design is great.
I have a few complains though. Touchpad makes knocking sound even though I am gently tapping it (Not pressing), it feels like the parts are not completely fitting together. I am not sure that my product is defect or this is normal. The charger makes some noise. light-up key bottom's light is always on which is a little annoying.

Due to a hard drive failure in my previous Samsung laptop, I recently purchased the HP Spectre. I was very hesitant to go with a touch screen so the "hybrid" appealed to me. I use this laptop mainly for paying bills, photos and internet browsing. So far I have been very pleased. It has a good battery life. I like the back lit keyboard. It is very lightweight. The only drawback I have experienced so far is switching from touchscreen to mouse and vice versa- if you do this too quickly sometimes it seems to freeze up for a second or so.--It could be that you're not supposed to do that though.

It’s a laptop and a tablet. The booting time is only in seconds with fast computing power. The battery can last over six hours if watch online with varies monitor angles. The touch screen is great, sensitive and responsive. There is a complete backup system for operating system built into the reserved drive. There are too many great features working flawlessly. The price is the best among the competition.

I really like this laptop. its very lightweight. its the I7 model, 8 gig of ram, 240 gig SSD, touch screen.
it boots to windows in less than 20 seconds.
its the best laptop i have ever had so far. it runs windows 8.1. im not planning on upgrading to win 10 for some time if ever.
I installed a program called Start8 (from StarDock.com, only $5 ) to get the start button functions back like in win7.
Start 8 works great.
My primary use is software programing. I write code, watch videos, surf the net, use libre office instead fo MS office.
I have to travel for my job and this ultra book laptop will travel well. the lighted keyboard is great at night. it has three USB 3 charging ports. I purchased a blue tooth mouth so it would not tie up a usb port with a mouse dongle. this lead me to the only bug i have found for this laptop. its listed at the bottom of this review.
I wish it had 16 gig of ram instead of 8, but so far 8 has been fine. the hard drive is only 240 gig. you can upgrade the hard drive but it takes the M.2 version SSD, not a standard size SSD. Im going to upgrade the SSD to a 500 gig SSD.
bugs:
the only thing i have found and i think it is actually a win 8.1 thing when the laptop comes back from a suspend, the blue tooth doesnt work. you have to turn blue tooth off and back on to get it to work. I have a win8 tablet and it does the same thing.
everything else seems to work without any problems.

Although I have only used this Spectre for a most of the day, I have fallen in love with it! It is amazingly fast and so portable as well. I believe that this is a well-made 2-in-1 laptop. I read the reviews here and elsewhere before buying this today. You won't be disappointed! Its weight is slightly higher than I would hope but it is tolerable given all of the positive things associated with this laptop. The display is very good . I love the HP Spectre x360 and look forward to using it for many years to come.

This was my first new laptop in awhile; so I had plenty of questions - and lots of advice from family and friends. I like the Spectre's compact size and low weight - makes it easy to travel with, and good battery life keeps me working all day without worrying about finding a plug. Plenty of power, memory and capacity for the applications that I use; good screen clarity and the keyboard is great for a "ham-handed" typist like myself.

This laptop is light, versatile, and quite easy to use. Battery life is good. The touch screen is really useful for those times when you can't get the mouse to move where you want it. The only drawback is sometimes the screen gets big without me knowing why or how. I think it's too big to really use as a tablet. I wouldn't buy it if using as a tablet is the primary purpose, but as a laptop it is awesome.

This laptop is amazing. It looks great, it feels very well built, and everything works like a charm. It's fast and quiet. The keyboard feels great and is a pleasure to use. Huge touchpad. The hinge feels very sturdy and I'm never worried about breaking it. It works very well in tablet mode and I find myself using the touchscreen often because it just works so well. It didn't come loaded down with random software which is nice for a change. It had a Macafee 30 day trial which I deleted but that was about it. It boots up very quickly and the Wifi is very good. I can't wait to see Windows 10 on this thing. Only two complaints, battery life is good but no where near Macbook level & the touchpad doesn't notice my clicks sometimes (I think it has to do with the Synaptics driver, hopefully it gets updated soon). I would recommend this laptop to anyone, I love it.

Pretty Much Everything I Wanted +

I went looking for a light laptop. I looked at the YOGAs, the ASUS, and was recommended the HP Spectre. The YOGAs have a problem with screen resolution and not all programs will work with them. The ASUS 305 was not available. The Spectre really meets all my requirements: it is solid state, has a fast processor, and extra long battery life. The bonuses were touch screen and full 360 degree access.

Fast, light and beautiful. All I can ask for in a small package. Solves my need for a laptop and a tablet. HP and Microsoft collaborated on a winner. I hope upping to windows 10 will be an easy process when it is out at the end of the month. Not missing the lack of a disk drive yet. LOVE the SSD!! Boot time is very quick.

Was all set to buy an Apple MacBook Air because I was sick of how slow Windows was and how heavy my old laptop was. I saw a news item about a HP laptop developed with Microsoft's help. I read the description and bought the HP Spectre x360 without hesitation. It looks like a MacBook Air (all metal, thin and light). It runs Windows 8.1 very fast. It boots up in about 5 seconds and logs on in less than that! I dumped the McAfee Internet Security in favor of ESET Internet Security and wow! I am an IT Pro and love this computer.

Best Ultrabook So Far

I've tried several Ultrabooks in the last year. This one is better than the Sony Vaio, the Lenovo Yoga 2 and the Lenovo Yoga 3. It is just a bit heavier than those three, but for the weight, you get a sturdier build, a longer battery life, more USB ports, a better CPU, and dual monitor ports. I also like the power adapter best of the four (I just wish it had a lighter cord instead of the heavy-gauge grounded 6' cord. Surely there's a lighter one available.

I bought this 2-in-1 for my daughter to use in college. She had a choice of several other 2-in-1s and both of us are glad we chose the HP Spectre x360. Beautiful and powerful machine. She said she liked carrying it around due to its light weight compared to other portables. She also liked the long battery life and the tactile response using the keyboard. At the moment she is still trying to get used to using the touch screen and the large touchpad.

I've had my x360 for nearly a month now and I'm happy say I've been loving it since day one. It's simply such a polished, powerful machine well worth the money. Battery life, touchscreen and the response is everything I've read on it. I can't wait until I upgrade to Windows 10 to see how smoothly it runs on that platform, but until then, I'm going to continue to have fun with this.

This laptop exceeded my expectations!
As a Realtor, it's awesome because it allows me to swivel my screen in presentation mode for my clients. It also allows for signing docs on my laptop with the separate digital pen I bought.
As a student, it's perfect for taking notes, recording lectures with my Samson Go Mic, using my digital pen to draw diagrams/pictures as the teacher draws them and then copy and paste it into my actual word notes, and allows me to quickly toggle between various software programs or internet tabs.
This laptop is fast! it powers up in a matter of seconds, unlike my old laptop, so when u need to use your laptop you can and fast!
I also use this laptop to record my myself singing, with the free software Audacity, and is so efficient!
The fact that u can use this laptop for play too is awesome. I can use it as a touchscreen and swipe to look at Facebook or check the internet like it's a tablet. The screen is huge compared to a tablet so I'm well pleased, especially when I turn it to the side - I feel like I'm on my iPhone but magnified.
Because the screen can fold 360 degrees, it's a space saver when I want to work and listen to music with my earphones. I can just leave my laptop in that postition in my laptop bag, allowing me to use all the table space for work.
This truly is the best laptop I have ever had.
