Great lightweight Windows 10 TouchScreen2x1 Laptop

I was looking for an ultralight portable HD touchscreen 2-in-1 Windows10 computer with an SSD drive (instant on) with a backlit keyboard that would be great for working on the road (has 10+ hours of battery life). I tried the 13" and 15" versions of the Spectre model and found the 13" to be more functional for working on the road (works better on a plane, etc). I went with the 13" model with 8GB of RAM and a 500GB SSD to insure I had enough room for data (would have preferred 16GB RAM and a 1TB SSD). In short, this is the perfect mobile versatile computer (as nice physically as the MacBook but is a 2-in-1 so like having a MacBook and iPad in one device). I paid $900 as I found one that was returned and in mint condition. As a demanding tech geek who is often on the road traveling for work and wants the best (price and functionality), I found the perfect device (thank you HP) at a great price (thank you Best Buy).

I am an IT professional...and hobbyist come to think of it, lol. I tend to max my machines out. I run complex spreadsheets, databases, render/edit photographs, multitask like crazy, stream music, video and games...so I work it hard!
I'm pretty happy with this laptop. The screen clarity and resolution are my favorite part. I can't do without the backlit keyboard or the ease in which you can connect wireless to your other devices. The machine is very lightweight and versatile. I'm slight of frame and I can walk around with it like a tablet or dock it like a desktop. Or just hold it on my lap while hiding from the kids in the loo....sorry. The processor is swift. The fan is quiet, when it comes on, which is infrequent. I love the touch screen!
My only complaint is that I really, really wanted this machine with a USB - C connection type. Was quite disappointed to learn that HP posted a type and the machine doesn't not have USB-C
Over-all, I am very happy with my purchase. It covers all my needs as a heavy computer user with kids. And if you have kids, DON'T forget GEEK SQUAD! They have saved me numerous times!

I wanted a Windows tablet but the Surface screen is a bit too small, and the price was a bit too high. This 2-in1 laptop is a good middle ground. I still have the power of a laptop and I can flip back the screen when I want a tablet. I like the Windows 10 interface, but then I didn't have a problem with 8.1 on my old laptop. The only downside is that it does get kind of hot at times.

I'm glad I bought this to replace my Dell Inspiron laptop. The SSD makes this HP laptop much faster than my old one and with 512 GB it has enough memory for my needs. Great HD resolution. Very small and light, so easy to carry. Ability to use as a touch screen tablet makes it very convenient and versatile.

I purchased this HP Spectre to take on photo workshops with me. It is very fast to open up and light weight. The touch screen is added plus. I upgraded to the 512 GB and purchased an external drive for my photos due to no internal CD player. I was told it wouldn't get a hot as my previous laptop but the bottom still gets warm. Over all it's a great travel laptop and easy to work with.

For my own experience, I wanted a fast and reliable computer that Would treat me for a day to day basis, I'm not an expert but the build quality is amazing, computer runs really fast and I couldn't be happier from the touch screen, it's super accurate.

I have used this laptop for about a month. It's my second home laptop as I have a MacBookPro as well. The Spectre360 does everything you need, it's fast, it's 2 in one, the solid state hard drive makes it boot up in seconds. The keyboard is back lit if you choose so. The battery life is about 10 hours. The touch screen comes in handy when you need that. I can only recommend this laptop. It's way cheaper than Microsoft surface with the same spec. Last it is only 3 pounds. It comes with windows 10, which is great. I have had no problems with it.

I needed a thin and light Windows 10 laptop with at least 512gb of SSD storage, and this is it! It's about as close to MacBook Air as one can come for a Windows machine. Though I love the thin form factor of a MacBook Air, I'm not quite ready to jump over into the Mac camp. Anyway, this computer boots in seconds and has an amazing screen resolution. My only complaints are the price (a little high) and the fact that much software out there doesn't know how to handle the super high resolution of the Spectre's display. I know that will change as more machines adopt higher resolutions (some windows and text are too tiny). But this is an awesome computer and I'm glad I bought it!

The Spectre is best as a very convenient laptop- easy to carry and use and phenomenal resolution. I wanted to use it for work projects using heavy footprint software such as Revit, 3DS Max and Inventor (2016 version) and it has done well for those programs although I had to reduce the resolution to get the graphics to work correctly.
Typing is very easy and it seems to work well with the MS Office Pro software. Having 3 USB ports is great and makes life simpler when connecting portable hard drives and a wireless mouse. Battery life is great- I have used it all day for taking notes in meetings and still had 30% charge at the end of the day.
There seems to be some problem in tablet mode of having the screen reorient itself when turned but has not been a major issue.
The Spectre was a good selection for my needs.

Laptop is fast, stable, does not run hot when on battery working on airline. Battery life is better than anticipated. Hate the 1990s era charger with stiff wires and hard to manage - HP needs to get the power engineers into the 21st century with the laptop engineers.

I bought this computer as I was tired of lugging my 7+ lb laptop to the office every day. I still have the big laptop but that stays at home, this will be for business trips and to the office. This unit is very light, but has a solid feel. The build quality is excellent, boots fast, and the screen is gorgeous. I actually had to set the screen resolution at 125%, with the resolution at 100% it's just too small. That being said, the screen is really brilliant and crisp and wonderful to work with. Battery life for me is about 7 hours of constant use. Easy to bring to meetings and have mostly used this in laptop mode.

The nearly instant on feature of the Spectre is most helpful on the go. The touchscreen is clear, sharp and responsive. Battery life is good. Lighted keyboard is great when taking notes in dim light. Love it!

Replaced an old outdated laptop and love it so far. Very light and perfect size for taking with me anywhere. Mouse pad is huge and very functional, but I'll probably attach a wireless mouse eventually. Had to purchase an external DVD drive to transfer previously purchased software but won't miss the internal drive from this point on as I mostly use flash drives for data storage and transfer. I haven't had a lot of time to truly test my new laptop yet, but so far I've not been disappointed.

This is a very nice looking and fast computer. The screen resolution is very very good. There are however a few things that may cause you to dislike it. Once you find the solution to them, it works great. First, the screen resolution is so high that many older applications have a problem with it and the icons are too small. This is an application problem and not a computer problem. Eventually the application will be fixed so don’t blame the computer or Windows. You can change the resolution of the display if you want until the applications get fixed. The second issue is the touch pad. It needs to be turned off when you type so you don’t accidently touch it. It can be turned off but the feature is off by default. Once you find out how to activate the feature and can turn it on and off it works great. Some found the touch pad button activation a little dicey but if you use the lower corners, it works well.
I really can’t find any huge negatives to this computer.

This was bought for my husband who decided that he liked how the laptop folded over. The laptop is fast and works fine, the problem is the Windows 10. For some people who have used the Apple system for years, Windows 10 is difficult. I use Windows 7 on my desktop and like how easy it works. I tried to use Windows 10 on the laptop and found it difficult to move around in and hard to remove items that I did not want on the screen.
