    The perfect laptop

The Hp Spectre just might be the perfect 2-in-1. It combines all the best aspects of a laptop with the convenience of a tablet whenever you want. It has an absolutely gorgeous look to it, but remains well built with excellent hinges that I know won't break no matter how much flipping between laptop and tablet I do. The backlit keyboard is also an amazing feature. You cannot go wrong with this computer and I highly recommend it to anyone.

Great 2 in 1 for someone on the go

While no device is without its flaws, I am left very impressed by what HP made. While this 2 in 1 isn't a detachable version like others, it does have some very good features. First of all, the trackpad is dead center where it should be, not off to one side. With the dual band AC connectivity, I can work upstairs and still get a very good signal from the router downstairs. However, I had to enable the Intel Wireless settings and adjust those to make that work. With the minimal amount of applications I have on it, this thing still floats like a butterfly for its weight and sometimes the corners sting like a bee when taking it out of its sleeve which is included. The touchscreen is gorgeous, but the glare can be a bit bothersome. The bezels are a bit wide and the screen doesn't rest flush over the keyboard when it's in tablet mode. Aside from that, my only other gripe is that the USB ports on the right are a bit close together when plugging in flash drives since they tend to be wide. This thing will run virtual machines very well even though it doesn't have a dedicated GPU. If you do get it, go for the newer model with the 6th gen CPU. One more thing to note: there is a recovery partition on the SSD but you have to make recovery media yourself.

This laptop works great, is light, and the battery lasts a long time. Windows 10 is very stable on this machine. It gave me trouble on an older machine I upgraded. The mouse and trackpad are very sensitive even with multi-touch points. Boots up from full off in about 4 seconds. I am try to get my work to buy me one for at work.

I wanted something thin to travel with and had no moving parts (HHD). I really tried to like the MS Surface Pro but it lacked USB ports and a full size SD card reader. Also wanted something to use as a tablet on the couch. Enter the HP Spectre. Decided to buy the 512GB Solid State Drive. Good news: this puppy boots in less than one minute. Overall performance is fast and it is built like the proverbial brick outhouse. Display is excellent. Can plug in my wireless mouse USB plug, my thumb drive and a USB printer into the three available USB-3 ports. Battery life is also very good. Overall quite pleased. Bad news (as warned): this is not a light weight product (which has some advantages in rough environments). Its suitability as a tablet is lacking since it's so bulky and the poor keyboard is on your knees. Touch screen is good. Hey, you can't have it all and hence my 4 star rating. I seriously considered a Mac Air for similar dollars (both are pricey) but I've got some legacy specialized software not compatible with Mac OS.

Mcafree is very annoying. Have not figured out how to stop the pop ups. Microsoft defender is very difficult to turn on. It says it is on and a reminder says it is not on. Type in turn Microsoft defender on and Return massage says no information available. It is light, thin and the first mouse pad I am willing to use. I like the keys. Some people did not.

A GREAT 2-in-1. Selling my 2010 MacBook Pro (i7) and iPad (2), this covers both. A little large for a tablet, but includes the touch-screen! Had to remove the included anti-virus (not the Webroot, something else, don't recall) as it kept locking up. Added Webroot anti-virus and now all is well.

Great Best Buy service in Issaquah. Wanted a really good, too-of-the-line PC. They confirmed the HP would be a good choice. Windows 10 is quite a larger learning curve than we anticipated, coming from the older Windows7, but (probably) worth the wait.

This the best laptop I have ever had. The configuration is powerful, it has all the things which a powerful laptop should have. The main thing is the very light weight,, apart from that is the speed of booting due to the SSD, 360 degree rotation screen in tablet mode and many other features. Great laptop, very happy.

I agonized over my next laptop. I had an HP Envy that served its purpose well for 5 years but I wanted a lighter, powerful laptop that would be trustworthy for the 3-year project I was embarking on. I narrowed down my choices to the HP Spectre and the Dell XPS 13, but the touch screen and the lower price for the Spectre won me over. The device has an i7 processor, 8 gig of ram, and 2560x1440 screen resolution. I saved a bit of money by going for the 5th-gen processor instead of Skylake. I was thoroughly tempted by the black and gold design but couldn't justify the additional expense. I have had a few minor issues with this laptop that otherwise has been perfect for my needs. Two or three times the screen has malfunctioned; the issue was not resolved by upgrading the BIOS. I've also had isolated incidents with the sound. But these small issues are not constant. I have been thrilled by the speed (between the processor, RAM, and solid state drive) of the computer, and while I didn't think I needed the high screen resolution, I absolutely love it. The battery never lasts as long as advertisements say but I can still use the machine for several hours without worrying about battery life. I would strongly consider buying the latest iteration of this machine again when I am looking for a new replacement, which I don't belive will be needed for several years.

I really love this laptop. I give it a 4 star because the volume isn't high, I have to use an external speaker when listening to music. Also it doesn't have a place to play dvd's so I had to purchase and external dvd player. Still all ok for me because this is nice and light and fun to change into tablet form. Also love that it's touch screen and is up to date with windows 10.

There isn't much i can say that is wrong with this laptop/tablet.It is sleek, easy to use and quick. it doesn't have much of a hard drive but we keep most of our stored programs and files on the cloud or something like that. with the type of hard drive on this machine the battery life is great. We cheaped out on another 2 in 1 and regretted it from day one.

I didn't want a tablet and a laptop so I waited until I saw a hybrid that was powerful enough and not too small to operate as both a laptop and a tablet. I also waited for Windows 10. I did not care for having a removable keyboard as I was concerned that I might lose it. The HP Spectre X360 has the same processor, memory and disk space that my previous laptop had and so functions very well for me as a laptop. The hybrid mode is also good for when I wish to use it that way. For serious excel work, I do believe I will need a mouse, but so far that is the only application that I feel needs one.

An outstanding PC: fast!; flexible; outstanding for small business. I had originally purchased a Lenovo attempting to save a couple bucks. I should have made a small incremental investment in the HP. Well worth the money. I would absolutely do it again and would highly recommend. Great PC and great value.

This laptop is amazing. I generally like bigger screens, but this one works well, and with the 4K resolution, everything is very clear. Battery life is amazing. I could not be happier with this.
