Too difficult to upgrade. Simply adding another HDD entails taking apart darn near the entire case. Loads of bloatware and unnecessary utilities. It has been returned within 24 hours of purchase.

This computer was great for the first day. After, start up was slow and the computer was acting up. I returned it a month later because I was not able to handle the slowness.

So awesome, I absolutely love this rig.

This rig not only looks amazing but, it is pretty powerful as well. I love gaming and I love Star Wars and, this rig embodies the best of both worlds. The graphics printed on the laptop itself look absolutely amazing the Death Star to the left of the track pad, the Stormtrooper to the right, Darth Vader whom can be seen when the screen is closed, and the graphic on the track pad itself (which is from Luke Skywalker's targeting computer when he is flying through the trenches of the first Death Star in the original trilogy) just look so beautiful. The only negative things I can personally find about this laptop are the shortish battery life which is anywhere from 2.5 hrs-5 hrs, the track pad is just a little to far to the left and I sometimes accidentally brush it when i'm gaming, the up & down arrow keys (but not the left & right keys) seem a little too small and squished together and are hard to hit if you're like me and have larger hands, and I also would prefer if it had an SSD rather than the SATA that it comes with but, those are only minor cons which are far outweighed by the pros. The 15.6 inch screen displays at a full 1080p HD which looks extremely crystal clear. The fans keep the hardware pretty cool. The 6th Generation i7 Intel quad-core processor along with the Nvidia GeForce 940m Dedicated Graphics card runs games like Fallout 4 pretty well. Plus the recycle bin looks like the Death Star in the process of being rebuilt when it is empty and, the original Death Star when it isn't. It also comes with a pretty cool special edition Star Wars comic that was made by Marvel, Concept Art from the new movies, and Behind the Scenes pictures from the new movie's sets.

Great for Star Wars lovers

I pre-ordered this from HPs website vs buying at Best Buy. For those that are just looking for a laptop, there are probably better values but if you love Star Wars, it is worth the buy.
I will say that I was disappointed that even with a custom build, you could not upgrade to SSD. The first thing I did when I got this computer was create the recovery disks. Although I used DVD-Rs, I'd recommend buying a USB (23GB minimum) for the recovery. I then swapped it out with a 500GB SSD drive. I don't need 1TB although it is possible to turn the drive into a backup drive if you really wanted, as long as you bought a case for it.
Anyway, the machine was sluggish with the provided HDD but was plenty fast with a SSD. Trust me, do this. I will say it is a pain because unlike many other computers, there is no way to just take out the HDD. You have to take the entire back off.
I'm also a Mac user but how could I resist? Plus I do use Windows through bootcamp for some things. This will be a secondary laptop for me. One thing I wasn't impressed with was the cheap plastic feel of the laptop. I had to consider if it was reason enough to return it. One thing I realized was that the plastic was probably necessary for the design, plus it means the laptop won't get as hot and will be lighter. I got over the cheap plastic feel within a day.
So anyway, I'm loving my laptop and although I haven't had good history with some previous HP laptops, I was willing to give it a shot. We shall see how well it holds up in a year or two. For now though, it is a great item for a Star Wars lover who may need a laptop.

There must be some big Star Wars fans at HP because they really put a lot of detail into the design of this machine. I immediately replaced the hard drive with an SSD and the machine is very fast. It has 8GB of memory in a single DIMM so you can easily add another 8GB to bring the laptop to 16GB. I'm impressed that HP did not install a ton of bloatware on the machine. The install is clean and runs efficiently. The only complaint I could come up with so far, is that the mouse buttons are built into the touchpad versus discrete buttons. I plan on using a mouse anyway to avoid wearing off the artwork, but could be something that would bother others.

Main reason for me to get this laptop was the Star Wars theme... I replace my HP X360 with similar Specs (i7 5500u, 8gb ddr3, GeForce 930m and I added a SSHD) but this one has an i7 6500u and a GeForce 940m. On the Speed Side I run a benchmark test on the X360 and was 1474 vs 1851 on this one and today after an upgrade to a solid drive (Sand Disk 480) the number increase to 2402. So yes I'm a Happy Camper.
Pros: Latest intel i7 processor, upgradable to 16gb, NVidia GPU, light weight for a 15" laptop, Led Keyboard, CD Rom drive on a premium laptop 15" no easy to find, B&O sound system, IPS antiglare screen and Star Wars theme in & out.
Cons: Non Touch, not 2 in 1, Plastic Not aluminum like the Envy series, not glass screen (if this is important to you) , and low energy memory ram (not a deal breaker but best buy don't sell them and I will have to do a second trip to geek squad)
-1 Star for the plastic material instead of aluminum and no glass screen. I work with pics so I prefer the bright colors (just preference)

I was in the market to go and get me a gaming laptop and I have been looking at all the laptop's that best buy had. And something that I could afford and then when I seen this gem I was like AMAZED I love star wars and a big fan of it. And what all it came with and what all it does. I was so happy. I have had it for a short time right now and its rocking amazing. Have been playing World Of Warcraft on it and everything else and it has been so great to have something like this.

This is a pluss for Star Wars Fan....It's a must Have...!!! Love all what it includes...It Would Have Been great ..if It Was Blue Ray Player Instead Of Dvd player... but it's well worth having a limited edition Star wars laptop as to be my first and one only.... besides my tablet...kudos to HP for creating one for the FANS...Enjoying every detail they put into this laptop....

If you are a Star Wars fan this is a great laptop. I played a few games with it and it works fine. It is not a speed demon but it works. Played Battlefield 4 no problems. The Star Wars stuff is pretty cool. Great collectors item.

This amazing. I love it so much. It runs great and looks even better. The star wars everything is just so amazing. I got this for Christmas and it was worth the money in my opinion. I got the wireless mouse and the case for it. I feel they are both must haves if you get the laptop. The only thing i don't really like is the trackpad but since i have the mouse its all good. Long story short BUY THIS LAPTOP!!!! (p.s. I am writing this review on the laptop and i love the glowing keys.)

Had lots of fun with laptop during winter break.
With school back in session, laptop is being used for homework, research, etc.
Buyer/user agreement: if I get it for you, it is a "gaming" laptop, but not a toy, will be used for academics not just for fun/play. Agreed. We are very happy with our new HP Star Wars Special Edition 15.6 laptop.
