The unit appears to be useful enough for my purposes and once I get used to what all the icons, symbols and linked info does Then I will open the computer and test ou how your WiFi instant printer works. Very much ops school.

Computer is very well equipped for college students

I went to load a program I have to use for work once in a while at home and the computer will not allow me to download any programs that are not approved apps. I am now waiting for Microsoft to call me back to try and fix, however after 3 hours on the phone last night with them I am not sure if they will be able to fix it. They could not even remote into the computer because their own program was not an approved app.

This laptop lasted eight months, and then would no longer turn on. This is apparently a common problem. The laptop is junk!

I purchased this laptop thinking that it would serve my needs but as soon as I had all of my emails updated it took over 90% of the space.

I needed a laptop for some online classes I’m taking that requires Firefox and so after some research I ended up buying this one. I previously bought a Chromebook 17 days ago but unfortunately I did not know that you couldn’t download Firefox on it so I had to buy another laptop which was this HP Stream. I love it so far. It fires up quickly and does everything I need it to do. It connected to my wireless printer in less than 5 seconds, comes with a year of Microsoft Office, allows me to do all my online courses without a hitch. There’s expandable memory if you so choose to buy an SD card for more space. It’s lightweight, portable, looks good. I’m definitely very happy with my purchase. Just wish Best Buy would at least let me return the Acer Chromebook I purchased even for store credit!

No where in the product description does it mention that this laptop comes with Windows 10S installed. In fact, in the product description it clearly says Windows 10. Among other severe limitations, Windows 10S restricts ALL purchases and App downloads to the Microsoft store. That means no Chrome, no Google, or any other non-Microsoft product. Pretty BIG secret to keep from buyers BB. Had I known about 10S I would never have bought it.

I have been very loyal to HP products for the last 12 years. But this last purchase was a real disappointment. I bought the HP - 15.6" Laptop - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 2TB Hard Drive - Textured linear gradient grooves in black, and ever since the beginning it had problems. It would freeze up and take up to 30 - 45 min. to work. SO DISAPPOINTING! I called HP customer service and learned that warranty for software only lasts the first 6 months, not the whole first year. I didn't call on time, and had to pay HP $70 dollars for an agent to help me get it to work. It works better now, but it's definitely NOT A RELIABLE machine. I'm NEVER buying another HP product again.
