Other than the display not being HD; this is just the right size, weight and speed. This is not a "laptop" in the full sense (no ethernet but you can get a USB adapter). I did disable the S mode once I decided I was going to keep it. If you want something bigger than a tablet with a full keyboard with good speeds and easy to travel with; this is a very good option.

Once the ridiculous 'S mode' is removed (a fairly easy process), the laptop becomes fully usable. Granted, the digital disk drive is small, but one can always attach an external drive. Do not expect to edit high-definition videos with ease, but for a basic computer, this laptop will do everything.

I've been using this laptop for almost three weeks now and I think it's great! I like how it's very lightweight and thin, so it's easy to carry around with me, and it turns on/boots up very quickly. I flip the laptop open and I'm logged on in like two seconds (no lag-time). I purchased this particular laptop for those reasons, and so far I am very pleased with my purchase. I also bought this particular laptop because it comes with a free one-year subscription for Microsoft Office Word, etc. I mostly use this laptop to surf the Internet, check e-mail, and use Microsoft Word, etc. I would recommend this laptop to anyone looking for the same reasons.

If you adjust your expectations and realize the bang for the buck you are getting out of this purchase you would be as pleased as I am. Best Buy reps as well-meaning as they are will do their best to steer you clear of this type of laptop, however, if you take a closer look and examine what you intend to use the machine for it might be a great fit. Note this laptop will not run modern PC games period. However, it will run handheld game emulators really well and browser-based games also run great. So there is certainly fun to be hand on your spare time. Here are some pros and cons of the laptop. Pros: Amazing battery life. Surprisingly speedy performance. (The processor has 4 mg of cache and the ram is DDR4 so the internal components are very modern.) Cons: There is limited storage only 49 gigabytes are available for use. Keyboard and trackpad are not great but they are certainly usable. The webcam is extremely bad. The plastic exterior of the laptop doesn't have any screws so it is probably really difficult to open the laptop up, so that means repairs are going to be costly and difficult. Pro Tip: This is a Windows 10s machine. When you boot up the machine you will be unable to download .exe files like other browsers, but that can be fixed by attempting to download something and following a few prompts.

This computer has been a great purchase for a college student. It is quick, light weight, and an overall great computer. Not a lot of space to store high quality pics, but a great computer for my needs.
