The one and only problem I have with it is out of the box, the subwoofer pops a lot at high volume which is unacceptable. I bought this to replace a many years old RCA home theater system. The HDMI-out port failed on it but the speakers all still worked perfectly fine. I used that old subwoofer in place of this new one and the popping issue is long gone. The whole system works perfect now. The only reason I don't recommend it is because it needs to work properly out of the box. If I didn't have that spare subwoofer, I would've returned it.

Easy to set up, super sound. Doesn’t work with high capacity USB drives and an on-screen display of the volume would be nice.

Looked at sound bars but wanted to the surround sound. Easy to hook up was exactly as expected.

Lightening took out my Sony and needed a quick replacement, this system is awesome! Setup was easy and the 4K through put works great! I would buy this again!

Great surround sound for price perfect for somebody who doesn't want to spend the whole lot of money

When I got this system, I expected it to be just a bit more flexible in terms of upgrading individual components. Don't get me wrong - you can still upgrade your speakers and what not with much of a struggle, but the subwoofer is a wired sub with thin gauge wire. The wiring itself is also some pretty thin wire with the actual openings on the speakers/systems being pretty small.

Easy to set up, quality is awesome! Gives you the theater experience! Awesome for half the cost of Samsung or other big brands!

Sounds awesome but going to upgrade to a powered subwoofer

I bought this to help the sound while watching a movie on my insignia TV which has lousy speakers and turn up dialog when people are talking while turning down the other sounds, after some research to find out how to connect to my smart TV, I got it connected, the sound is pretty good and serves its purpose so I am pleased with it

the Onkyo system was very easy to assemble and has great surround sound. After about 6 weeks the system started to turn it's self off. I would be listening to music or watching a movie and suddenly the system would shut off. I would turn it back on and again it would shut off, this repeated over and over. I found out through research and calling Onkyo support, this problem is common with the receiver. now I have to send the receiver in for FREE repairs, but the cost of shipping and loss of a sound system for a few weeks and only after purchasing the system 6 weeks ago sucks!! I would NOT recommend this system to anyone.

Wonderful, reasonably priced surround sound system. Easy to set up, the speakers are loud and clear

Great product. Contains everything you need completely out of the box. Sound quality is great as well. A little hard trying to program the remote to turn all components off and on and the remote is a bit generic compared to my other Onkyo model but seems to be a great product so far, especially for the small price tag.
