Setup was very easy. Color coded speaker wires, well labeled inputs, and a simple, on-screen menu made setting this system up very easy. This is a great system for anyone not wanting to assemble a system from individual components.

I bought this for the receiver and use Klipsch speakers. Onkyo is an awesome brand and really makes my speakers sound great. The Onkyo spears also sounded pretty good for their size but definitely upgraded them to my own preference.

I bought this to replace an old school stereo system I was using. I'm moving the old stereo system (which still sounds great) to another room. This one is much easier to operate with today's technology.

A lot more bulky than my old unit, and doesn’t have the built in Blueray player like my old one. You do get decent sound from the factory speakers, but the wires they come with are too short.

Pretty nice home theatre, easy to set up sounds pretty good. Only negative is that the individual speakers can only be set to two levels of volume, no individual settings to balance your room.

The sound is amazing, and creates a whole new experience for watching TV! The Bluetooth is easy to pair, and can stream music from Spotify with great sound from my phone!

the system sounds really great, once you figure out and tweak some settings.. the instructions aren't very clear, but once you figure it all out, it sounds really great for the price!

While the Onkyo HTS may not have high end appeal, it gets the job done. I was looking for something simple enough that my younger kids would be able to use and good enough to not be a waste of money. The video switching is great for those with lots of extra game consoles, DVDs and streaming boxes. The Subwoofer is a passive unit and bottoms when turned up, but it's not bad. Speakers are better than I expected for the price. It's a definite step up from the cheap RCA and Magnavox systems.

Nice looking, plenty of hook ups. But lack's in the volume department. Which is what you need in a great home theater system

Picked this up wanting to upgrade my sound system. Been great so far. Only quibble is the center speaker is a bit quiet and you have to turn it up a bit.

Bought this for my husbands birthday for our home theater room. They always try to convince you to go bigger, spend more etc when you go in the store. Great quality. Sounds good to my ears. Happy with my purchase and so was my husband.

This is by far the BEST surround system I've brought, took my Samsung surround bar and gave it to my brother in ln law as this Onkyo system really provides better sound and I'm a disabled veteran with ear issues , truly a GREAT buy !!!

System is of great quality. Receiver is top notch and the customization options are quite extensive for altering speaker arrangements and varying setups. Only caveat is the wiring supplied is very short, even for a smaller room setup.

Good home theatre sound for the money. Easy to use remote. The Blue Tooth is nice feature for both phone and computer to play Spotify or Pandora playlists. Surround speakers needed extra wire added to match the living room spacing.

This had no issues what so ever, I hung them from the ceiling and they are great with movies, games and music. The device even has bluetooth capability. It is really a great product for the price. I recommend 100 percent.

this thing caught on fire - sparks, smoke, the whole thing. sadly, Best Buy absolutely didn't care at all. store manager actually accused me of pouring liquid in it and then told me they never sold this model. did not help at all. contacted onkyo and after some conversation they had me send it in and found it was manufacturing defect. and repaired it under warranty. repaired unit seems to be working properly thus far. I will happily say that the repair service center was great, fast and courteous.
