    HTC Nails It

I was looking for a replacement for my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active whose screen shattered after a fall. So much for "active" right? Anyway, I couldn't decide. There were many on my list and within my budget but most didn't live up to the price considering they weren't 4G, plus the internal memory -- I'm a heavy app user -- was minimal in that price range. I guess I had to shell out a little more for what I needed. That's when I came across the HTC one M7. Even then, I was hesitant about its uniform design (read: no battery replacement or swapping) and it packing "only" 32GB of internal memory but I chose to make the leap and buy it. If I didn't like it, I could always return it within 14 days. I had no real prior knowledge or experience with HTC phones before my purchase but once I started using it, it was clear to see that HTC knows how to make a solid phone. First, it flat-out looks nice. It's got a very minimalist design that I really, really like. Phones don't need to look fancy and this one feels solid in your hand. Second, it's an amazingly quick phone even with over 300 apps (a majority being ones I installed) plus around 10GB of music. At this point I still have nearly 12GB of internal space left for whatever I need. That's nice to have. Third, it's not packed with as much bloatware as much as features: Beats audio and an FM radio are a huge plus for audiophiles. But there are a few things I don't care for. The phone is only 4MP so image quality isn't going to be the best you've ever seen (see samples). Acceptable, but nowhere near the 8MP of the Galaxy Active. Also, the FM radio will only function when a set of headphones is plugged in. You can't use it via Bluetooth. And finally, Android users might not be too happy with the HTC Sense, the phone's native "launcher" and feature-packed app. Having used Android phones for years, HTC Sense was sort of lost on me and I didn't like it. This was easily remedied, however, by installing Nova Launcher which is very similar to native Android launchers and offers complete customization. Despite those few dings, the phone was definitely worth the current unlocked price of $299 I spent for it. I'm completely happy with it and looking forward to getting another HTC when the time comes. You won't be disappointed with this one.

While this model is running a little long in the tooth, it still packs lots of performance in a nice package. Great response, good coverage, awesome sounds & beautiful screen make me a proud owener of the HTC brand. Recently upgraded to M8, even better!

Best phone out there for the money paid!

I will start off with the price... I paid $150 and that was for a brand new unit with NO contract so that is why I say that it is the "Best phone out there for the money"! If I would have paid anything over $200 than I could not have said that. They went on clearance so I decided to snag one up even though I have already had one and currently have an M8 and many other phones. (I am a cell phone junky!) If you get this with the proper software you can unlock the bootloader and flash this to make it an official Developer edition M7 or even a Google Play edition M7 whatever you want to do. You have to know what you're doing so I suggest you go to XDA developers to get some notes on the tutorial. Anyways, this is STILL a great phone for the money and is still a very fast phone but make sure you also check the camera for a purpleish tint cause some of these had problems with the cameras as well. Good luck!

Already have a refurbished Sprint version of this and bought this to have a spare when it was on sale. Kind of sorry I bought the AT&T one since I don't use it as a phone, only as a mini boombox but my Win Phone is on AT&T so I figured I might use this one instead in a pinch. Turns out that was a good choice since you can only get OS to update if there's a SIM card in it so I had to put the SIM from my Win phone in to update it, kind of a PITA. A lot more pre-loaded crapware on this version than my Sprint one, too - wish I had the courage to unlock it and load a custom ROM but too afraid I'd brick it. Still that has naught to do with the device itself, which is a thing of sheer beauty. Very slippery, though, so make sure you get a nice, sturdy case for it.

This is my 4th HTC phone. I've had previously the INSPIRE, ONE X, and the ONE X+. When I first saw the HTC ONE, I knew I wanted it, and would own one whenever the price was right. A co-worker asked me to help her purchase a smart phone. She owned an older Verizon phone with a 2 in screen. She always admired my One X+, but didn't know if she should get an Iphone, since it was what everyone else had. I told her to compare the 2, read a lot of reviews and then make up her mind. The next day, she said she was ready to buy the HTC ONE, and if I would go with her to Best Buy where they had it on sale for $49 with upgrade with Verizon. I agreed, but was a little disappointed because my upgrade with At&t was still $149. Anyhow, off we went to Best Buy Mobile. We had a couple of great guys that waited on us, and I was able to get my upgrade for $49 also! My newbie Android friend loves her Verizon Blue HTC ONE! She has had very little problems learning how to set up her phone, send pics with texts, and she even helped me with the Zoe feature on the camera. My review-Great camera, couldn't turn off Zoe, but I figured it out. Very crisp clear images, even in the sunlight. I like that Beats by Dre works without headphones now. Non removable battery doesn't bother me, but I would like to have a micro SD card, just to have 64g that my HTC One X+ had. (I still have over 2000 songs on this phone.) Blink Feed is annoying so I moved it to a side home screen. Shows great videos. Overall this is the best Smartphone that I have ever owned. I also purchased a TRIDENT AEGIS cover to protect my new BESTBUY EXCLUSIVE BLUE HCT ONE! It is still slim and Pretty!

This device was an innovation in design (for smart phones) when it made its debut. The sleek metal design was phenomenal and the front facing speakers made it one of the most sought after devices then. The only flaw... the limited amount of MegaPixels on the camera, relying only on software to make it better. Overall, I love this device.

I like the intelligent design. It is functional and robust with features. It is a little large to hold in one hand if you have small hands, but I have larger hands. I haven't found a flaw in it yet that annoys me. I would buy another if given the choice. I've previously owned Iphone 3s, 4, 4s.

Phone is good and screen is easy to read. Volume buttons are touchy especially when trying to mute the sound or unmute it - it will adjust the volume up or down (which is not what I'm trying to do) and it is annoying. Also can't figure out how to have sound and vibrate at the same time.

I have been using the Samsung line of smartphones for the last few years. However, this phone has changed my way of thinking. The battery life is great and the Beats sound system is awsome. I am a little worried about the non replaceable battery though. Over all, this is a great phone.

I'd been trying to get a new phone since September thinking that by then the HTC One M8 would be available in Blue. When I found out that it wasn't going to be available in the Us i decided to get the HTC One M7 in Blue. As an added bonus I got 2 Best Buy gift cards, one for $100 & the other for $50. So far the phone's been working amazing & I didn't have to break my Piggy Bank in order to buy it.

Although the newer version of this is out (M8), for the price, this phone has everything that most people will want or need. It's fast and has all of the bells and whistles. With the aluminum shell, it feels super durable. The speakers are awesome.

I have this phone and Nexus 5 (which is far more expensive). This phone is almost as good as the Nexus 5. The only disadvantages are: (1) Sense - Native Android is a better user experience. (2) Processor speed. The Nexus 5 is a little speedier -- particularly in maps. Other than that, this phone is a great value.

I preorded the HTC one M7 unlocked developers edition before it's original release 2 years ago. and it's still better than 95% of the mobile devices on the market. I am not a fan of carrier branded versions because of bloatware and waiting longer for updates. I got this for $150 closeout for my niece at that price it was a steal even for a carrier branded device.

My daughter likes it. Only the time for recharging is very long , it takes one night, but I think for an android phone is normal. I am used to an iPhone which recharges batteries very quickly. I am thinking of buying for next phone a HTC, because the interface is really nice and easy to handle !

had it about a month, so far so good! Even dropped it a few times on carpet from a couple feet. It just got dinged but works fine. I don't put huge demands on my phone; mostly texts, calls, check email, take photos and i'm not a big app user. its great for my purposes. battery life is acceptable too but again i don't use much data. great price too $150!

Overall, one of the better phones that I have had so far. Battery lasts longer than any other phone that I have owned (2ish days.) Larger but quality images and camera. Good idea to have a case, has possibility for damage(as with any smartphone) Only concern is no task manager to end running apps.

Have had this for 1.5 yrs now. Works well still. Often updated by HTC so software works well. No defects. The power and volume buttons however are pretty flat and can be hard to press if a case covers them. Thru updates the battery lasts over 1.5 days in standby. With frequent use however will only last about 7-8 hours.

While it's not the flagship HTC smartphone anymore, and soon to be even more so when the M9 is released, it's still a very solid phone. Nice long battery life and Sense isn't too bad.. Plus HTC is updating it to Lollipop so what else can you ask for?

Although this phone is great, it's not quite excellent because it has limited memory with no external sd card slot. The camera is not as good as an iphone either.

Given the price ($149.99), I have nothing to complain about this fabulous cell phone. True, it is an old model, coming out in 2013. But still it has many superb features, together with very solid quality. If you know how to unlock it, then it is a big plus!
