Before i got this phone, i checked alot of websites reviews and they are correct!! HTC one has "Beats" dual speakers in front. It also has paramanic for pictures.
THe screen is bigger than iphone 5 series, but smaller than galaxy 4. Battery life is good.
Design is similiar to iphone, and back of phone is solid hard - unlike galaxy's rubbery back cover.
My son has a galaxy 4 and my wife has a iphone 5s; i think this phone is the best of all.
Good job HTC one.

My HTC One is an amazing device. It's not only a phone but an all in one device that keeps me organized but I can have fun using it. When my upgrade came up I was going to get the SG4 but my brother told me about the HTC One so I went online to check out the reviews. To my surprise every single review had great things to say about the phone so I went into a best buy to check out the feel of the phone. After holding the phone in my hands I ordered it online and got it a few days later. The phone is great, its easy to use, battery life is excellent, the screen quality is sharp and pictures are beautiful, the feel of the phone make you want to keep it in your hands and not use a phone case. HTC has blink feed which I love since you can customize it to what you like from media outlets like movies, sports, news or social networking. The articles are straight to the point but you can click on the link to the original site. Overall the phone is great for calls and your media needs. It's the best phone I have owned.

The phone is attractive and made perfectly. Comparable or tops the Iphone 5. The 2 speakers facing forward are very nice, although I tend to listen to music through Bluetooth head phones, which of course sound much better. Processor performance is excellent. So far the battery has been impressive, I'm able to go for an entire day without needing to recharge. But I'm concerned that the battery can't be replaced by the user. The software doesn't seem as easy to use as on my previous smartphone. Like it needs another button, with more or better menus.

HTC Nails It

I was looking for a replacement for my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active whose screen shattered after a fall. So much for "active" right?
Anyway, I couldn't decide. There were many on my list and within my budget but most didn't live up to the price considering they weren't 4G, plus the internal memory -- I'm a heavy app user -- was minimal in that price range. I guess I had to shell out a little more for what I needed.
That's when I came across the HTC one M7. Even then, I was hesitant about its uniform design (read: no battery replacement or swapping) and it packing "only" 32GB of internal memory but I chose to make the leap and buy it. If I didn't like it, I could always return it within 14 days.
I had no real prior knowledge or experience with HTC phones before my purchase but once I started using it, it was clear to see that HTC knows how to make a solid phone. First, it flat-out looks nice. It's got a very minimalist design that I really, really like. Phones don't need to look fancy and this one feels solid in your hand. Second, it's an amazingly quick phone even with over 300 apps (a majority being ones I installed) plus around 10GB of music. At this point I still have nearly 12GB of internal space left for whatever I need. That's nice to have. Third, it's not packed with as much bloatware as much as features: Beats audio and an FM radio are a huge plus for audiophiles.
But there are a few things I don't care for. The phone is only 4MP so image quality isn't going to be the best you've ever seen (see samples). Acceptable, but nowhere near the 8MP of the Galaxy Active. Also, the FM radio will only function when a set of headphones is plugged in. You can't use it via Bluetooth. And finally, Android users might not be too happy with the HTC Sense, the phone's native "launcher" and feature-packed app. Having used Android phones for years, HTC Sense was sort of lost on me and I didn't like it. This was easily remedied, however, by installing Nova Launcher which is very similar to native Android launchers and offers complete customization.
Despite those few dings, the phone was definitely worth the current unlocked price of $299 I spent for it. I'm completely happy with it and looking forward to getting another HTC when the time comes. You won't be disappointed with this one.

Even though I came from a HTC smartphone it took a little time to learn the new things on this HTC but nothing difficult. Truly love the camera features and the music is Awesome, love-love the sound quality. I've had no issues with the battery life and I've went 3 days before having to charge it. Things process so fast I don't feel like I need to grab my laptop to do things. I've had it for 2 months and still discovering cool things. Wish it had a owners manual on a disk instead of having to go online to the HTC website to learn more. I wasn't in need of an upgraded phone, even after 2 years but so glad I listened to my husband. Very Happy with the new HTC One. No regrets! !

Best Phone I've Ever Had

So I am coming from a Google Nexus S 4G from Sprint to clarify that. The HTC One is a great phone. I watch a lot of videos on my phone so having front facing speakers was a major plus in my pros and con list. It was tough choosing to go with either a S4 or the One, but in the end I chose the One for simply reasons. The S4 features to me are gimmicky. They are nice yes but in practice everyday use I can hardly see myself using them. The One feels so much more like a high quality flag ship phone is suppose to feel. The cool metal touch from a night rest and feeling its not going to snap in my pocket if I bend a wrong way. The S4 may have the HTC beat in the processors department by .2 or .3 but in normal day use you wont be able to tell the difference. The HTC is just as fast as the S4. They are not kidding about the speakers on this thing though. Some of the most crisp sounding cell phone speakers I've heard in my life. Do not fret about the lacking megapixels. The 4 SUPER Pixels as they are called I keep hearing people say "oh it only has 4 megapixels?" No SUPER Pixels ha, I digress, this phone takes pictures just as good if not better than my Google's 8 megapixel camera. Call quality is great as I did move from Sprint to AT&T. I do find myself repeating myself sometimes and the mic sometimes doesn't pick up my voice so clearly but a simply move of the phone fixes that. I tell everyone to get a HTC ONE. It truly is quietly brilliant as the loading screen says. Keep your eye scrolling and waving at your phone looking like a fool, I'll keep my high quality just as fast processors and quadcores in a nicer package.

If you want to listen to music or watch videos on your phone, there is simply no other phone to get. The built in stereo speakers provide such good sound you won't really need to invest in bluetooth speakers for personal listening. If you want room-filling sound, that's a different story. Do yourself a favor and download an equalizer app. to get the most out of the hardware.
The aluminum unibody gives the phone a nice, solid feel (and presumably durability). The only trade-off there is no microSD card slot or user replaceable battery, which have always been selling points for the Android platform. But with 32GB of internal storage and USB OTG support you probably don't need a card slot, and hopefully the battery will hold up well.

This phone was compared to iPhone 5, Samsung S4 and HTC mini. The mini offered an improved rocker arm sound button and hope they add to future HTC one. Picture quality in low light good, but zoom not as good as others. The Zoe feature for visual people is great and pulls together transition music and allows several setting to change slide show to blk-wht or include zoe caption as 20 photos taken as video that also allows capturing best photo so you don't miss it. Speed start up and web loading fantastic unless one bar for connectivity (poor-none). Overall very pleased with ease of use and different feel than past Samsung smart phone.

I've been an iPhone user since the first iPhone arrived. Making the transition to an android phone has really not been all that easy. The phone works great but the OS is so very different from Apple's that you may want to think twice before making the switch. I am sure in time I will be just as comfortable with this phone as I have been with all my iPhones, but for now (I've owned it about a month), I am still trying to figure things out - it is not as user friendly as I would have expected and I have even thought about returning it on several occasions. That said, I love the large screen, great camera and the ability to "swipe" type. Contacts are set up oddly in my opinion but the search feature makes up for it. If you are already and android person you will LOVE this phone.

The Best Android Phone By Far

This is the best Android phone by far. With the dual front facing speakers I listen to music a lot more than before and call quality is great. Has a great feel in the hand and moves from app to app with minimum lag.
Only negative that I can think of is that it does not have expandable memory.

The speaker set up is the best thing about it. I didn't like the way the texting worked, the weight, or the way it fit in my hand. Good phone overall it just wasn't for me, so I took it back to Best Buy and paid the extra for the Galaxy S4 which has been a lot better phone for me.

My contract was up with Verizon, needed to replace my HTC Incredible 1, went to Best Buy where they had a trade-in deal. Signed up with AT&T for a cheaper plan, better signal, and total out-of-pocket (with InvisibleShield screen protector and Platinum Series phone case) was about $125. I am psyched.
It takes great photos, I love the burst photo feature (takes photos for as long as you hold the shutter, then you can pick the best shot and it deletes the rest), and it is blazing fast on LTE. Linked seamlessly with my multiple Google accounts (work and personal).
It might be a little on the larger side for a phone, but I have big hands and sausage fingers so it's the perfect size for me.
My only complaint is that the I can't set the default phone screen to "call history", which would be much more useful for me than the actual last caller. And I can't do voice-to-text input when it's linked to my car's bluetooth (although maybe I just don't know how yet) But that's it. I love it.
It was between this and an iPhone, and I haven't regretted my decision for a second.

Bought the phone for my wife. She really likes the phone, but there are some pop ups on the home screen that are difficult to remove.
The screen is great, the camera is great, and the speakers pack a lot of punch for being so small.

Best phone out there for the money paid!

I will start off with the price... I paid $150 and that was for a brand new unit with NO contract so that is why I say that it is the "Best phone out there for the money"! If I would have paid anything over $200 than I could not have said that. They went on clearance so I decided to snag one up even though I have already had one and currently have an M8 and many other phones. (I am a cell phone junky!) If you get this with the proper software you can unlock the bootloader and flash this to make it an official Developer edition M7 or even a Google Play edition M7 whatever you want to do. You have to know what you're doing so I suggest you go to XDA developers to get some notes on the tutorial. Anyways, this is STILL a great phone for the money and is still a very fast phone but make sure you also check the camera for a purpleish tint cause some of these had problems with the cameras as well. Good luck!

NOTE: This review is after 1 month of ownership.
My Background:
I've been an iPhone user since they came out; best thing since sliced bread. After jailbreaking my last 2 iPhones (3s then 4s) and enjoying all the features made available to me, I began to become fed up with the closed nature of Apple's software. I was unimpressed with iOS 7 and it was becoming time to move on... I've come to find this phone to be everything I've been looking for and very much hope that the HTC One sets the standard for the premium android experience.
Positives:
Even if I didn't want the extra features, using this phone has been a joy. Online support forums are plentiful and despite my initial trepidation to move from iOS to Android, there has never been a better time software wise, and now certainly, hardware wise. The software is buttery smooth, fast, responsive, and snappy. The hardware is beautiful, the camera is fantastic. I can root MY device and customize to my hearts content without technically breaking the law that Apple has forcefully put in place to prevent you from full access to your legally purchased device.
Negatives:
There are a few things I miss about my iPhone, but they were all features I jailbroke for to get anyways. Some other negatives include the limited 1 hand experience, although I've adjusted quite well (I do have larger hands though), the lack of true support for the screen to light up upon notifications (there are apps that allow this and a built in led notification button), and it can sometimes be difficult to grab small items at the very edge of the screen, mainly while copying and pasting. Every problem listed here is a mere minor grievance, of course still worth considering.
I'm so happy with this phone that I actually am taking the time to write a review and this is the first review I've ever written for anything.
I can feel the jealousy from all my iPhone carrying friends. Stop deliberating, just do it and buy it now.

Already have a refurbished Sprint version of this and bought this to have a spare when it was on sale. Kind of sorry I bought the AT&T one since I don't use it as a phone, only as a mini boombox but my Win Phone is on AT&T so I figured I might use this one instead in a pinch. Turns out that was a good choice since you can only get OS to update if there's a SIM card in it so I had to put the SIM from my Win phone in to update it, kind of a PITA. A lot more pre-loaded crapware on this version than my Sprint one, too - wish I had the courage to unlock it and load a custom ROM but too afraid I'd brick it.
Still that has naught to do with the device itself, which is a thing of sheer beauty. Very slippery, though, so make sure you get a nice, sturdy case for it.

I upgraded from a Galaxy s3 to this handset and it's one of the better decisions that I've made in my smart phone career. Gone are the cheap plastics and rear facing speakers. Hello to aluminum and loud front facing speakers.
The HTC sense UI is pretty sleek and matches the overall aesthetic of the phone. The sleep/lock button that rests on the top of the phone can be a little hard to adjust to at first, but it works.
The phone is responsive and snappy. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade right now.

I was waiting for this phone to go on sale and as soon as it did I jumped on the sale and so glad I did. My last phone was an HTC and I love this HTC even more than what I previously did. Some things I did have to go to my provider for to fix bc I wasn't sure about, but all in all this is a great phone.
