I have it on Blu-ray 3D. I loved it. Quite an adventure.

I've just bought my 1st 3d TV a couple months ago. I've been slowly adding to my collection. This was my 1st non-animated purchase and the 3d is wonderful IMO, 5 stars. The depth and pop-outs are throughout the entire movie. I had no idea what the movie was suppose to be about until I watched it, and to be honest, it was not all that wonderful of a plot and I understand why it was a box office flop. 3/4 of the movie your sitting there wondering where things are suppose to be leading to and when things do start coming together, it is still a little dissapointing. The acting, directing and cast are 1st rate, it was just the script, again IMO. If you want to show off your 3d, this is one for your collection. If you want your kids to sit through it, I doubt it.

Great movie, the plot is interesting, the acting is impeccable, and best of all the sets were fantastical (borderline steampunk) but made more interesting because they're based in reality. I really enjoyed the cinematography which is really something because that's an aspect that I rarely notice. On top of everything it left me with that kind of warm fuzzy feeling that you get after reading the first Harry Potter novel, my family loved it.

The last time a movie drew me in like this, it was E.T. There was a plot, a good storyline, etc.. They dont make movies like this anymore. Nobody got shot, nobody got naked, and there was no cursing. Most of the scenes were either in the train station or in the clock tower, and yet this doesnt take away from the movie. Also the 3d in this movie has some pretty good scenes. Just get it. Even if you get the regular dvd version, the movie itself is just really good. Do yourself a favor and believe every single positive review about this movie.

First of all, I like the plot twist in the second half of the movie. It almost made me burst into tears when the film shift to focus on the life story of Georges Melies. Love the gimmicks introduced in the movie, and the conspicuous coloring of the footage. Remind me of the French director Jean-Pierre Jeunet's feature films. This feature is very suitable for a family movie night. And the 3D effects is definitely one of the best among all the 3D movies released so far. Plus, the price of the "bluray+3D bluray" bundle is very agreeable.

very good acting and direction from Martin Scorcese. I missed this movie when it was playing in the theaters, but I took a chance and brought the blue ray dvd. I still can't over the cinematography and the scenery in this movie, gosh it just blows your mind! I would recommend everyone to buy this movie!

this move is soooo well acted and has one of the best scripts i have ever seen. The 3D is magical and the best 3D Iv'e seen in 2011. I highly recomend if you want to buy this movie and have a 3D tv GET IT IN 3D!!!!!

The audio/video presentation is beyond belief, and it sits firmly at #1 (tied with Avatar) for the best Blu-ray image that I've ever seen. With an aspect ratio of 1.78:1, the picture fills the entire 16:9 HDTV screen with eye-popping visuals. And it's an amazing movie, to boot. If you're a Blu-ray aficionado, this needs to be in your collection!!!

I was looking forward to something extraordinary, after all the buzz from the Oscars. But the movie was just above average, with good acting and great story telling. Being in the movie industry, it was refreshing to see the story of someone I greatly admire. However, the 3D was nothing exceptional and at the end of the movie, I felt left down a little and that was largely again, due to the big hype at the Oscars

I have had to watch this movie about 3 times already. Still haven't been able to catch the full story line. I am more interested in seeing all the 3D detail. Look at the lights that seem to be hanging in mid air. Or even the ceiling speaker horns seems like you can reach up and grab them. Steam and smoke looks to be in the room with you.

The film was wonderful in the theater, and at home with a 3D HDTV and blueray home theater system, it's amazing. A rare 'family' film that adults will love even more than the kids.

I saw Hugo first on a cable, I liked it & watched it many times. After I got a 3D video projector I wanted a few 3D movies to watch on it. Read several reviews that called Hugo a must own 3D title. The reviews are right, it is should be watched in 3D.

I was amazed at how nicely this film was shot. All of the Steampunk elements make it fun for children and adults. I especially liked the historical twist the film takes toward the end.

Great Plot , There is a moral to the story, which is rare thing to see , at this day and time to see. Very Touching !

Directed by Martin scorsese in 3d, showing great use of what 3D is capable of without all the gimmick factors, this was made to be watched in 3D, a must own in any 3D collection.

After reading the previous two reviews, Hugo is a MUST get for your collection! The use of 3D in this movie captivates the viewer. This is the first time I've seen this movie and I'm glad to have it now to enjoy over and over again.

I bought the movie this week after reading the review and was very impressed with the movie, the 3D effects are amazing ... if you like watching 3D movies or if you want to impress with your 3D TV this is the perfect movie.

this by far has the best 3d effects that I have ever seen! It is well worth the price! The audio is ok too and while the movie is a bit long as I said the effects well make up the difference!

This is a great 3D movie if you are looking to enjoy the special effects. The only down side it's slow pace and to long, but don't give up because more to the end the plot worth the waiting.

Real depth without a bunch of tricks just for 3D. Magnificent integration of CGI and Live Action. Good basic story. Easy to see why the Oscars.
