Customers are saying

Customers find value in the Cloud Core Wired Gaming Headset's superior sound quality and comfortable design. Many appreciate its affordability and compatibility with multiple gaming systems. However, some users point out the lack of volume control on the headset itself and potential durability concerns with the cord. The detachable microphone is a feature frequently praised by users.

    Super Comfortable Headset

I am a big fan of the HyperX Cloud lineup. I have tried out many versions (the Cloud, Cloud II, CloudX, Cloud Pro, and the Core). They all have their own little advantages, but one thing is consistent - comfort. These are hands down the most comfortable headsets you can get in this price range. I have played for 4+ hours without any fatigue or ear discomfort. They are clearly well built. It's an aluminum frame, so I need not worry about broken plastic. The cord has a woven sleeve, the mic boom is sturdy while still remaining bendable, and the ear cups are plush. I picked up the Cloud Core on sale for $60, and it is an amazing value (even at its normal $70). The headset comes with a detachable mic, a single 3.5mm connector, and PC Y splitter cable. I can plug the headset straight into my XBOX One Controller (I have the updated controller with the 3.5mm jack), or I can plug the Y splitter cable into my computer. There are no other frills to this headset, but to be honest, I don't think you need anything more. I have had a really good experience with the sound and mic quality of the headset. I use it to play XBOX late at night, so I won't wake up my wife and kids. I normally play with my 7.1 setup, so I was unsure about stepping down to a stereo headset. I was very impressed with the sound quality of the drivers. Nothing seems overblown, the speakers aren't tinny, the bass is just right, and everything is nice and clear. My teammates have no complaints for the mic. They don't hear any background noise, and my voice comes through perfectly clear. This headset is the base model for the lineup. It doesn't come with any volume control (like the Cloud I volume box, the Cloud II USB sound card, or the CloudX in-line volume knob), carrying case, or extra ear cups (you can order replacements for $10 from HyperX). However, my headset will never leave the house (no case needed), I have a a high end MOBO w/ Creative Soundblaster Cinema3 onboard (no USB sound card needed), my keyboard has a volume control (no volume control box needed), and I can quickly adjust the volume/balance through the XBOX menu (no inline control needed). The headset supports mic monitoring through the XBOX controller 3.5mm plug (can't use the stereo adapter if you want this feature - you need the full chat pad or the Turtle Beach adapter for mic monitoring). The Core fit all of my needs. If you absolutely need the other things I listed above, then by all means. But if you find yourself in a similar situation as myself, then the Cloud Core is perfect.

I have tried so many headsets and Thisbe is by far the best one I have used. It is so lightweight and comfortable that I sometimes forget I have it on. The sound quality is great and it’s lasted longer than any other headset I’ve tried.

I’d give these a 4.5 if I could. Great sound and build quality for the price. The wire is braided to prevent it from fraying and it comes with an extension if you need it. Super comfortable. I don’t play longer than two hour sessions but they feel ust fine. You may have a problem with these fitting if you have a big head. I don’t have a big head and I have it maxed out to fit my head. Also, it’s a bummer that there are no volume controls. Overall, great headset.

ABSOLUTE BEST SOUNDING headset out of EVERY SINGLE set Best Buy carries in the </=$150 price point! Just Comfortable as the arctic 7’s too, without having to constantly retighten the head straps. No inline volume, but once u get it where u like it it doesn’t really need one inline. I bought a turtle beach inline soundcard and it works great (surprisingly) connected via the controller on PS4. Lots of great bass and still lots of background noises. Easy to hear people coming up around u in FPS games! All I play. Tried alphas, cloud2, stinger, every turtle beach(great sounds uncomfortable on ears tho), Arctic 7’s, manowar, Logitechs and the list goes on. The cores blew all competition OUT OF THE WATER in all round comfort and best of all sound! Get em while thy are cheap! Bc they are bound to nerf them or raise the prices when they realize

This is a great headset for the great price, excellent quality and very comfortable. Sound is absolutely amazing. No issues with the headphones except you have to be careful how you set your headphones down so the cord does not become tangled up. Cord cover offers nice protection.

I never knew about hyper x until I looked at their website, apparently their goals are to make comfortable, affordable quality headphones. After purchasing I found that hyper x hit each and every goal they stated. Sound excellent u don't have to spend $100+ for great sound, comfortable, quality headphones. Also another cool feature on these headphone is the mic is detachable that was the main reason I purchased this specific model as well as for the price I highly recommended.

I had these headphones for over 2 and a half years (3/17 to 11/19). The sound is good for the $70 price. Nice amount of bass and decent mids and highs. Always felt super comfortable on my head, even with long gaming sessions. Only reason why these stopped working was because my cat chewed the wire when I wasn't home. If it had a detachable cable I probably could've gotten another couple years easily out of them.

I did a lot of research on different headsets, trying to find the right one. I wanted something reasonably priced, but still provided great quality. What I like most about these, aside from the excellent sound quality, is just how sturdy they feel while still providing excellent comfort. The only complaint I have at all is the lack of inline volume control for my Xbox One S controller. However, the default sound volume is actually perfect.

I bought these for my son to use with both his laptop and PS4. He's been using them for a few weeks now and says the sound is great, microphone works well and that they are very comfortable for extended periods. Best of all, they haven't broken like the Sony branded wireless headphones we purchased prior to these.

Great sound and comfort which is all that matters. The only thing I wish was different was having an actual microphone mute on the headset.

Comfortable, good volume and mic quality. The cord (3.5mm) doesn't last that long before it gets a short in it unless your really careful with it. I did purchase the best buy warranty which I recommend on any headset. Its a literal swap when anything is wrong and when you swap you can buy the plan again.

This is one of the most comfortable headsets I've ever owned. The noise cancellation is top notch (a fact my girlfriend hates). I gave this a 4/5 rating because of the lack of an inline volume control and mute function. A small issue to be sure, but something I wish it had. I'll just have to detach the mic to mute myself.

These have a fantastic sound for the money. They are so comfortable, even after long hours of gaming. The microphone can be easily removed and can bend in any direction. There is even an adapter for the plug to go from one plug to two separate plugs for headset and microphone.

Honestly i don’t know how i would only wear my default mic with my PS4. They do an amazing job canceling out sounds so if you have a child or other priorities in your home I’d recommend keeping one ear open. They are extremely comfortable as well. I wear glasses and usually deal with discomfort when anything presses my ear against the frames, not with these though. Mic quality is well also. Comes with a sleeve to go over and the mic is detachable and adjustable: so if you have a natural loud voice you can turn it away from your mouth if needed . Sound quality is on point as well. I play Overwatch and when i have enemies on my left or right, it gets sent to the side they are on. If you’re thinking of purchasing i would definitely pull the trigger on these . I wouldn’t recommend the wireless just because of battery issues and delay as well.
