This mic is great as an entry level mic. It can pick up voices clearly without being too expensive.

If you're thinking about buying this microphone, just go ahead and seal the deal.
Plug and play with high quality sound for such a low price you really can't do much better.

The microphone itself has a good tone for a budget microphone. My only complaint would be the structural integrity as when I dropped it from my desk, the mic stand broke at the joints.

Economical and easy to use mic with decent sound. Most confusing part is you tap the center to mute & unmute, but it's hard to see the indicator light. Plus the light is either solid red or blinking red, which is also confusing.

Horrible build quality. Microphone stand plastic broke like a breadstick. I tried to adjust the tilt and the plastic broke at the joint. Then soon the whole thing came apart due to the weight of the main mic.

I’ve been using the HyperX SoloCast microphone, and I’m extremely impressed with its performance. For a plug-and-play mic, the sound quality is excellent—clear, crisp, and professional-sounding right out of the box, with no complicated setup needed. It captures voice naturally without distortion, making it perfect for calls, streaming, and recording.
The design is sleek and compact, and I really like the tap-to-mute sensor with an LED indicator—it’s simple but very convenient. The stand is adjustable and sturdy, and the mic is also compatible with boom arms if you want a more customized setup.
What stands out most is how much value it offers at its price point. It delivers high-quality audio that feels comparable to more expensive options, making it a great choice for anyone looking to upgrade from a headset mic.
Overall, the HyperX SoloCast has been an excellent experience—reliable, easy to use, and outstanding in sound quality.

Plug in and go. Pair it with nvidia broadcast and the microphone is even better. It’s not going to be super high quality but for the price it’s a great entry level microphone that will get the job done. Works with discord, voicemeter, steam, and Xbox chat

I bought this mic before its initial launch since Best Buy put it out early... The QuadCast was a bit too high in price for me and so sprung for this considering the hype surrounding the QuadCast.
What can I say, this is absolutely the best bang for the buck I have found for an entry level mic.
It looks clean, sounds great and I love the tap to mute feature that HyperX carried over from their QuadCast mic. I was torn between this and the Razer Seiren Mini and went with HyperX as the Mini appears to be of pretty poor build quality and doesn't sound as good to me plus there is no mute button on it which I personally think is a must have. So, for $10 more I got a way better mic IMO.
The stand is cool in that I can angle the mic in numerous different ways but I will probably end up buying a cheap mic arm to mount it on as it is threaded for 3/8 - 5/8 mic arms.

I was excited to try a mic for the purposes of adding narration to videos. Because I wasn't a keen enthusiast and as I did not want to purchase additional hardware, I had limited my search to budget USB mics, and this one fit the bill - and professional reviews indicated this was an acceptable one.
In actual use, however, I found the mic to be no more effective in picking up the nuances of my voice than the array of mics on my laptop or phone. I am terrible at projecting my voice, so I was hoping a dedicated device would better do the job. Alas, not so. Using basic editing tools, you can make your voice sound good with this mic. But the same is true of my laptop mic.
On the plus side, it's quite sturdy in the hand, and the mute button is handy. It also worked out of the box with my Android phone, which is also handy. On the downside, there is no way to monitor your voice as there is no headphone jack.
Perhaps an XLR mic with more sophisticated components would make more of a difference. As it is, I would question your need to get this style of external mic if you've already got a reasonable quality laptop with its own mics.
